@@Josh.In.Motion just some local races here in San Diego and Boston Marathon next spring. Mulling another marathon in the fall and going to try, yet again, to get into London for next spring too. Have you run any other marathons or HM in Italy? Any you would recommend?
Well done, Joshua! When I saw that underpass near the end, I really felt for you. So tough to climb up on tired legs. I'm not quite brave enough to take on a full marathon yet 🙂
Thanks for watching…Yea that course is relatively flat so any there where lots of people struggling at the inclines. Let’s get you signed up for a marathon early 2024 you got this!!
Well done bro, fantastic achievement, you should be very proud of yourself.... I ran the 2023 Rome marathon too :) Running towards the Vatican was surreal, right!? I enjoyed Rome marathon, I thought the organisation was a little chaotic (I started in the second wave), and felt I had to spend so much time trying to overtake people from the first wave... it was the first time I saw a setup like that, where each wave had fast runners, all the way to 6'hr finishers; this then impacts the next wave. But I ended up taking it easy, finished well, saved my legs. The course seemed longer than what my satnav watch, but that often happens. In any case, very happy with that marathon. I have ran a few marathons now, I would say my favorite of all (organisation, course, support, size of the field) is probably Barcelona.
Thanks for the love!! Yes I agree the start was very disorganized. I spent the first 10km in super congested crowds. (This may have been good to keep my pace slow in the beginning to be honest.) What marathon are you thinking about doing next? Funny enough I am actually in Barcelona as we speak! I will have to run this city at some point!!!
@@Josh.In.Motion Yes! Spot on, the first slow 10k enabled me to finish off strong, and save my legs. Next stop is Belgrade, Serbia (23rs April), then later this year, Mexico City (Aug 27th), a week later my plan is Medellin, Colombia.... then possibly another 7 weeks later, back in Mexico. It's purely for the love of running and the peace of mind now. Do you have your next one booked up?
I wanna be like you!! that dope. Mexico City sounds wild, Im out of breath just thinking about the elevation there. I am booked for 45k run thru wine country in Umbria Italy in October, Im looking to add one more full marathon around August, early September if possible.
@@Josh.In.Motion :) I arrive into CDMX 10days odd before the marathon, and that’s plenty of time to acclimatise. I am from the UK, and have an extended period of leave at that time. Where about are you based? I have ran a few marathons in Europe, so can recommend some if you are living around here. Rome was my first run in Italy, Florence marathon is tempting. Umbria looks amazing. All the best for your training.
Yes I hope to see you out there soon!! There is not much elevation change so I wouldn’t worry about that. The cobble stones pick up during the last 6km once you get back in the heart of the city get pretty brutal, but its all a part of the experience!!
Haha this is turning into a running YT channel real quick. Im glad you enjoyed!! Stay tuned i have a couple more run videos coming out in the next two weeks.
Mate, never rely on spectators to carry your food, I have also learnt the hard way that they will forget😂. Well done on the finish, have a look at Dublin next year
Thanks for watching!!! hahah novice mistake, lessoned learned. I ill have to get on of those running vest so I can carry more with me. Ill look into Dublin 2024. I love Ireland!!
im watching as many of these type of videos as possible because im 14 yrs old and planning to run my first marathon in october, the plan originally was to run a 3:45 but watching this gives me second thoughts about my pace. My question being, how many kilometers were you able to run after being mentally and physically drained?
I see the LA logo!! That where I grew up! Which marathon you looking at? I would recommend that if it’s your first marathon just plan on finishing. Use that time to set a goal for the next one. Everyone is different but most people hit “the wall” around Mile 20 or 32km. You really gotta dig deep for the last 6 miles.
@@Josh.In.Motion Thanks for the insight, I wish I lived in SoCal, i was born and raised in tennessee but ive visited and love the atmosphere in cali. The marathon i would be particiating in is the Nashville Marathon. Love the content, you deserve more subscribers.

thank you!! It was a perfect tour of Rome in 26.2 miles. The course takes by every main sight in Rome except for the Pantheon & trevi fountain (only becouse the streets are too narrow there). the only thing that I dislike is the amount of cobblestone in the last 5km- But that is Rome. If you are thinking of signing up next year, do it!! Its Amazing!
It was pretty flat overall…there are a couple mile of cobble stones that are kinda rough on the legs. But it is a good race for sure!! I have done only one other marathon so I don’t have a lot of reference.

So cool man, I want that one to be my first Marathon, how about the Altimetry? How about running on cobblestones?
Yes I hope to see you out there soon!! There is not much elevation change so I wouldn’t worry about that. The cobble stones pick up during the last 6km once you get back in the heart of the city get pretty brutal, but its all a part of the experience!!
Randomly stumbled upon this…amazing job! 👏 What kind of camera did you use? Surprised your arm didn’t get sore holding that thing up the entire way
Thanks I’m glad u enjoyed…I borrowed a gopro 10 with the charging stick. It wasn’t too bad honestly. I would switch hands every Km or so.
This guy ain’t gonna lie!
Hahah I noticed I said that wayy to many times 🤦🏾♂️ I’m new to this give me a break
GOOD SHIT!
Much appreciated!! It was NOT easy for real.
@@Josh.In.Motion i can only imagine, ill be doing mine in December
@@RISKTAKAS Good luck!! Which marathon are you doing??
Unsolicited Advice: build up some long slow miles in now it will help your knees adapt.
@@Josh.In.Motion i appreciate it! ill be doing the Honolulu marathon, it will also be my 1st one
Honolulu Marathon! Good luck.
Yes, carry your Gu's!
lesson learned!! I was out of pocket space in the beginning of the run. Ill have to get a waist pack for the next one.
ehhhh Josh we need to see some training vids! Lets go you are a marathon runner now!
Haha this is turning into a running YT channel real quick. Im glad you enjoyed!! Stay tuned i have a couple more run videos coming out in the next two weeks.
nice run
thank you!! it was tough!!
Love the video! Congratulations 🎈 what camera do you use?? I need an upgrade 😅
Your video was Awesome too!! And you published yours the next day..I didn’t even start editing till a week later 👏🏾. I borrowed my friends GoPro 10. The stabilization worked pretty well I was happy with the results!!
let's see more marathons
I have my first ultra marathon on tap for October.
maybe ill run another regular marathon between now and then!! Thanks for the support!!
hahahaha this was great to watch
I’m glad you enjoyed!! I’ll have more running content soon!! Stay tuned!!
what is your gadget filmed this? action cam or cell phone? pls suggest
This was a Gopro 10 it worked out for me perfectly!!!
“They out there talkin’ bout pasta”😂😂😂
Casually debating pasta recipes mid marathon....only in Italy 🇮🇹
How was the course? Congratulations
@@Josh.In.Motion definitely may add to my list. Is it flat or hilly?
How was the course tho? thinking about running Rome Marathon next year
It was pretty flat overall…there are a couple mile of cobble stones that are kinda rough on the legs. But it is a good race for sure!! I have done only one other marathon so I don’t have a lot of reference.
I hope one day i get to compete in a marathon
start training!! I believe in you!!
@@Josh.In.Motion it is you
