    We got exactly same spec car as our rental just a few weeks ago from San Fran to Chicago. Did 4k miles in it and honestly - the best car for the job. Loved it, Loved It, LOVED IT! Agree with the sound - so so so addictive. We need this car in our lives now! About the leather seats - I'll say that in the 35+ heat (celsius) we had 90% of the time, we were actually glad to have cloth seats and not the leather.

    HIred one of these a few months ago for 5 days driving round trip from Nashville down to Alabama, into Mississippi & then back through Memphis. I drive a 6 litre V8 Holden SS in Australia, so I wanted the V8. this was a beautiful car to drive! Was a sensational cruiser, rode comfortably, handled fine, had a nice amount of power (about the same acceleration as my v8 in Australia), good interior, and mate that sound!!! Man you have to drive one to experience just how hectic the noise is, especially when you change it to Sport! It just opens up the exhaust, and it is addictive! A great car for the money in my opinion, if they sold them here Id buy one in an instant. Turned a lot of heads as well. Probably needs HUD but apart form that it is fine!

    • @flipfloplogic
      @flipfloplogic 5 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Yeah you can certainly fit two of your friends comfortably in the back seat. I have a 2019 white scat pack. If you plan to get a challenger I suggest buying a scat pack. The R/T is fine but since the challenger is so big and heavy with more horsepower it will feel lighter and easier to handle. I had a white R/T also. It got traded. Dodge is offering great discounts. You get 10 bucks off for every 10 horsepower. So a scat pack discount will be 4,850.

      Thanks! I really appreciate that. And I learned about the shipping protector later on when I saw some other Challengers online with it. The interesting thing is that in every other Challenger I’ve seen with it, it covers the entire splitter. Maybe because it’s three pieces and this car didn’t have the middle one? I think it looks really good here too!

    Proud owner of a 2013 RT with low miles 42,000 miles and trouble free miles. To each his own, for some reason I do like the classic look of the dash better than the new ones...but also dig the newer tail lights...but considering mine is fully paid and in leather, I’ll keep it till I do decide to step up to a newer model but at the time, really doubt it.
    Car is fun to drive and have enough power to put a smile on your face...if you are not racing, I do believe there is no reason for a scat pack but like I said, to each his own

    People focus too much on the scat pack. But once you drive this, it has power and is pretty loud for stock. I have a 2018 RT+ challenger fully loaded, the exhaust sounds so loud, funny thing is last week I got pulled over and the cop thought it was an after market exhaust (I live in Cali) I took it as a compliment. You need to drive an RT before making a decision on spending more on a scat pack to daily drive! If you plan on getting an RT challenger, I highly suggest getting a 17-19 model, because they all have active exhaust and it’s pretty loud for stock!

But that's not why I chose this car. I can't believe how relatively inexpensive it is to get one. What's more amazing, the base model is somewhere around 23k? Again amazing. And this year you can get it in 4 wheel drive! Why would any young man choose a different 1st new car! I don't think it's marketed enough to the young driver. It's great on long rides, plus if fits big, wide bodies like mine! Just hope they don't change the style too much before I move up to the wide body in '22

    These cars handle really good,thing is you have to know how to drive to go fast around corners...Some people want the car to drive itself...Sure its not a $550,000 Ferrari so it probably wont go 95 mph around a 30 mph curve,sure you can do 85 but not 95 !
    I own a car dealer ,drove all types of cars and my road road home is in the canyons and I can take curves in these cars as quick or near as quick as any Porsche I ever drove..We even own a Porsche 911,and yes I can drive I was a road racer for 6 years..did drag racing for 3 and races drag boats for 2 years,also did some dirt track racing for fun ! After 2 different BMW i3’s - a fully loaded 2015 model and a mid-trim 2017 model with the lease due end of the month, I think I’m finally ready to pull the trigger on an RT Challenger. I’m currently torn between a well equipped RT, an RT scat pack (my dream), or a nice Dodge RAM 1500. I love all 3 so much I don’t know which to chose. I feel the RAM is a better all-purpose vehicle but the beastliness of the Challengers makes them so compelling. I’ve wanted a Scat Pack for years now. Such a difficult decision!!

    I have a 2014, Challenger R/T Plus. The 5.7 engine with manual trans is 375 hp. But, the automatic is 372 hp. So I'm guessing that horse power in the 5.7 liter engine in 2019, hasn't changed. This car and the SRT, looks a lot better (great) with chrome wheels matching the chrome gas filler cover. Dodge, also should have kept the sided scoops instead of borrowing the SRT, scoop on the hood. Overall the car is still badass!

    I really don't like the same point everybody keeps making regarding how a challenger or even a charger takes curves... In comparison to what exactly? How many of these carse have suffered due to that? Do we have any actual stats or comparisons? I have my 2009 charger with the next gen tires and it handles pretty well on curves as it is a bit lower... I don't really get that whole "it wasn't meant to take curves" as if it was some kind of imminent danger...

    I got a 2019 Challenger RT in White Knuckle. I just put full racing stripes in Blue Metallic and it looks phenomenal especially when the sun hits it. Got them from Bigworm Graphixs. Lots of compliments. I had the GT which I loved because it was great in the snow but I wanted the RT or Scat Pack. Got a great deal on the RT so I went for it and with the active exhaust it sounds pretty good with the Mopar cold air intake I installed.

    Just test drove this car today. I'm so on the fence with the three challengers ive narrowed it down to....i cant decide!! one is the R/T plus, another R/T with cold group, navigation and the third R/T with T/A package. the T/A and R/T plus are coming in within a few hundred of eachother but the R/T with cold group and nav is about 4K cheaper than both. decisions, decisions....
