    So lovely, thanks. I will definitely make this top, but using my favorite cotton-acrylic yarn: Cotton Fair by Premier, it has 290 meter in 1 ball and is a #2 yarn. I have used it over and over for different items. It is great to wear in the summer time. I bought this yarn at Michaels. I just have to make more stitches and more rows, but that is okay -I have te time. You could make the back and front in one piece, by continuing at the side toward the front, without cutting the yarn. That way you only have 1 seam to do ( I don't like doing seams)

    • @TCDDIY
      @TCDDIY  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      That's so smart! 😊 For some reason I get nervous making pieces in one big piece, maybe i'll try it soon though. 😅

      Hiya! I'd suggest looking up "changing colors crochet" or something like that for an idea! I'd love to help, but it's weird to explain through the comments, & we don't have a tutorial for that specific technique. 😁

    I just finished this top out on a whim and I'm impressed at how quickly I finished! (and I'm a slow crocheter). To be fair, I actually made it shorter, but still, it took me less than a day to finish! I made it in a cute variegated brown cotton yarn and it looks amazing. This is the third pattern I follow by you and they're always so nice and detailed, I love them! ❤️

    This top is sooo cute, but your summers must not get to hot to be able to use acrylic yarn. I love how light weight acrylic feels, but I have to do your tops in cotton or bamboo or blends. Lion brand comfy cotton is a good substitute if anyone else lives where it is 99 to 100 all summer long. It is a 50 50 blend of acrylic and cotton.

    • @TCDDIY
      @TCDDIY  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks for the tips, Stacy! Much appreciated! We like to use all types of yarn, but since we crochet so much it makes most sense financially to grab acrylic in bulk. 😂 We definitely have looking into cottons and bamboos though! Maybe one day!

      @@TCDDIY Trust me,I understand! I only have a big variety now cause at my age I can finally afford to try yarns I would only dream of using when I was younger. When it comes to yarn I am very thrifty. My hubby watches for clearances at Walmart..hence the comfy cotton, they were half off ;) so he is so sweet I even got 6 skeins of horrible colors,30+yrs of being married and he still doesn't know I would hate the brownish camo, or the multi blues that to me looks and probably turn in to wash clothes...but he tries!! I also never pay shipping, and get lucky with hobby lobbies AMAZING sales spring and fall. I paid around 60 bucks for 80 skeins of yarn...so I got yarns I would normally just drool on and put back for the lucky people.I really love your work and am curious if you have a contact page or how I could send you a message. I don't FB or do twitter at my age(。♡‿♡。)

    Is their another stitch that doesn’t need back loop slips? If I have to use them
    Should I do them looser cuz last time I couldn’t get into them
    To work the dc

    • @TCDDIY
      @TCDDIY  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Wouldn't recommend any other stitches cause none would look the same or give the same stretch. The only thing you can do is to practice and be sure to make the slip stitches much looser. 😁
