Philippines have plenty of these trees we call kaw kawwati, we use the leaves as tea.
I was told it has antibiotic and anti cancer properties.

i have a white tree next door can you eat the petals after you made the tea like stinging nettles , i love the books and cant wait for the next one you bring out , i also you you do some day classes walks ect showing and finding wild food , keep up the wonderful and interesting work

Currently using nettles like crazy to reduce asthma symptoms and it is working very well.
Greetings from the Balkans. The lilac is a real favourite here and usually blooms for the Orthodox Easter. Old ladies stand on street corners selling bunches of the flowers and our homes are filled with the scent at our favourite time of year.

I did not know tabout edibility, or I had thoroughly forgotten. Thought I would have had this committed to memory. At one point in my kidhood, I lived in a place in suburbia that had huge lilac shrubs along the driveway. I love them. They were always my favourite. I looked at google maps recently and saw that they were gone. I can not imagine how much of a soul a person could be lacking to have eradicated a row of the best shrub ever.
I have a tendency to not trust animal studies and I am actually advocating for the end of them. I have a sad image in my head that the spinal trauma studies were done on animals as well. I hope not. I know they occur where animals are purposely injured to study.
and thats the point of your tube to get you in the right direction always do your research on plants it was where the hart is that got me into in ive always had an interest but the the way dan puts it across you cant help but look into it

I had read that persian lilac is not the same and is poison to cats dogs.
