Discovered an added benefit of this - it allows you to use all of the existing AE86 A/C components (and controller stuff). The AE86 AC amplifier (AC/HVAC "module" so to speak) needs a tachometer signal. By providing the tachometer signal to the cluster via the main "engine" plug (the one on the firewall in the engine bay), this should also feed a tach signal to the AC amplifier.
Dude, im not going to lie, but that jdm digital cluster, looks super sweet!! I think it looks better than any after market displays out there. Great work as always, im glad you were able to get the Dakota Digital module to work.
I had another video that I put together, but realized like 1 day after it went live that the tach converter was bad out of the box causing some issues that I covered in the review. I took the video down and reached out to Dakota Digital, they got me squared away pretty quick. I updated the video with the good part installed, which is this video :)
