Nothing worse when that happens,I sometimes wonder if it’s just all hype with fluorocarbon (just as an aside ,I believe that mono is more environmentally friendly as it breaks down when exposed to daylight over time whereas Fluorocarbon does not and is in the environment for decades if not much longer. Have a good day and tight lines and stay safe.
Hi chad, could I ask your opinion on your reels, I’m hoping to treat myself to a Cassette reel, on your videos if seen you use both I’ve my eye on the hardy and the Stillmanic, your view would be much appreciated. Many thanks
How much do you pay to come and play here? I am from England and now live in BC, Canada where I pay $37 for fishing for the whole year and have 300 lakes around me. :-)
It was pretty quiet tbh and I defo agree the cost of the specimen stillwater scene is too much for some (I very rarely fish them now due to cost) i had a great day though
I can totally understand - I have made some changes this year so I can still fish …. I joined a syndicate that I fish 2-3 times a month which doesn’t cost anything additional after membership fee and I fish day ticket waters less now …. In summer I will be fly fishing for bass on the salt and carp on the fly to lesson the financial impact on me too …. Its not the day ticket waters fault the cost is increasing but that doesn’t change the fact that people will end up fishing less
@barrybigplums I used to fish Rockbourne regularly and dever a few times but the problem is I live on the Isle of Wight so not only do I have extortionate ferry costs I have increased fishery prices.. its just not viable anymore for me ☹️
@@darrendevey1187 I live in the south east of Kent so also have to factor in £40 - £50 fuel costs to the specimen waters …. I 100 percent see your point of view
£100 for a 2-fish ticket..? Not sure I'd want to spend that much for the privilege of fishing near wealthy American tourists, or stockbrokers from Alresford having a day off from their commute.
Not going to lie it is very expensive - I have just joined a syndicate 20 mins from my house for £200 where I can fish it as much as I want and keep 6 fish a week ….. however somewhere like Avington or similar is a treat it’s not something to be done all the time … unless money is no issue of course. I guess it’s down to each individual to decide if they want to pay or not
Very nice rainbows mr. Plums i always enjoy your videos tks 😊
Cheers dude
Excellent vid pal....you are wearing my favorite cap there lol...quick question...what flies were you using. Thanks
Nice video chad avington is by far my favourite of them all ❤
It was a good crack mate
I’m going back to good old mono (in my experience far more reliable) tight lines mate
Had a lot of problems with Fluoro recently - that was the fish of a lifetime I almost hooked …. I was pig sick after that lol

Both amazing reels mate you will love either - get whichever one you can get a good deal on
hey chad, got a question, during winter in stillwater do you just chuck in a dry fly and test the water if there are ripples?
If I see fish rushing I will - I fished a comp yesterday and had four fish on size 16 buzzer so they defo still take small naturals in the winter
What net are you using there boss
It’s the snowbee ranger net - sized medium it’s as light as a feather

It was £115 for 3 fish
I have joined a local trout syndicate this year £200 and can fish all year
Chad! What line is that you’re using?
It lays out nice.
Rio gold mate
@@barrybigplums looks the bollox.
Not many there fishing? Too pricey for most?

I've given up on fly fishing now I'm afraid. Its just too expensive.
