Hey guys, I really like the Andertons TH-cam channel. There's something for the guitarists, bassists, drummers, yes, even for the synth guys. But what about us folk people? What about a video in which you present something "special" like mandolins or dobros? That's the only thing this channel is missing, and something a lot of people would enjoy! :)
The Fender P Basses were the first electric bass guitar, so the thumb rest was to simulate the feeling of holding the edge of the fretboard for those who were used to playing upright bass.
Sounds amazing! Is there any chance we could get a showdown between the Ibanez SR and BTB series? The BTB745 and the SR655 for example, which are around the same price point. Thank you so much for all your amazing team do on this channel, it's a wonderful thing.
I've been playing walnut basses for years. I'll never understand why walnut isn't a more popular wood in instruments. it's amazing! Why make it Look walnut if it isn't!?
Bob Pijnenburg put on some headphones and stop using your iPhone speaker or something similar to discern very low-end rich tones, which the speaker simply can't produce.
So in my band, my guitarist has just gotten an 8 string so often takes up the bass and treble and we were in Drop C but he plays in F# so I'm just wondering would a P-bass or a J-bass be better to cut through those frequencies? I'm imagining I'd need to have more of a mid tone frequency. I'd probably be in E standard now instead of C
Andrew Coates Find another band. No bass will cut through that easily. Him/her cranking his bottom and top sounds cool alone, but doesn't ever work in a band mix. If he/she can't recognize that then they're wasting your time.
The P-Bass is no better than the J-Bass and vice versa. They complement one another just like a Telecaster and Les Paul in the same mix. It is like adding chocolate fudge to vanilla ice cream to make a sundae.
Rory should make a "Yeah" counter every time Lee says that word on every "All About the Bass" videos. Oh wait. He only edits that's with Rob Chapman in it. Nevermind.
I suppose they might. - But sound like what, though?... Their modernistic Nu-Metal guitars from the first two albums? - The more Rock 'n' Roll sound from the third album? Or electronic samples from later on?...
Now I want a Walnut Jazz Bass with a mint green pick guard.
Beren Hamilton you're a sick fuck
IMUSICALGENIUS I know baby
Beren Hamilton I'm liking your thinking.
Rosewood boards on P basses started in 1959
Love your bass series! Wish I lived in England just to hang out at this store. Great show again.
Nice looking walnut jazz, there! Great, I just recently bought a Spector from Andertons, now I'm being lured by this.

I know it's been a year, but it's good comment. All I can say is that British music shops, just don't have the demand or the ability to play them!
The Fender P Basses were the first electric bass guitar, so the thumb rest was to simulate the feeling of holding the edge of the fretboard for those who were used to playing upright bass.
Another great videos guys. Btw, Fender certainly used rosewood (on P basses too) before 1963.

i think that a p bass cuts more through the mix, but you can sound just as good with a jazz bass with the right amp settings

Tell your guitarist to give the bass player some frequency space, or use a 6 string.
I would say go with a jazz bass with an active EQ so you can fine tune yourself into the mix
David vs Goliath
Tubescreamer vs SD1
PLEASE
Please do a seamor Duncan vs emg pickups
Do the Rickenbacker 4003 next

The bass is turned down really low. Seems to be a theme in music
60 not 63 for rosewood

MIJ? Made in Jamaica?
That would explain the toasty tones.
Lansley Boy I would have said Japan
Lansley Boy it is Japan
They'd probably produce one almost-instrument per year.
Review G&L tributes eg SB2, M2000, L2000 etc
Tug Bar
Please do a sounds like Linkin Park!
kimkloz Maybe they should wait until people move on from Chester's death.
Seymour Duncan vs emg
What was the point of this apart from "hey here's two random basses we have in the store" enjoy kids! CONTENT
Harry Geal advertising their store and showing what basses has been delivered? Is it a crime that they do that?
Fucking shit the p bass with pick sounds good
Rory should make a "Yeah" counter every time Lee says that word on every "All About the Bass" videos.
Oh wait. He only edits that's with Rob Chapman in it. Nevermind.
Pls do sound like Linkin park in memory of Chester
I suppose they might. - But sound like what, though?...
