Few pointers: - You can press triangle to get to enemies faster opposed to slowly jogging to them or awkwardly swinging to them. You started using it at one point but you were holding it instead of pressing it, causing you to stay at a distance and bring them to you. - Zip to point is the easiest way to get to awkward spots and especially helps you get out of trouble quickly. When you see that white circle on a ledge or on a light pole ect you can press L2 and R2. Just makes traversal a little easier. 1/2
- Momentum Is important when swinging, try falling for longer from a higher position to build up speed for the swing, THEN when you’re getting to the apex of the swing press X to get a jump out of it. Then rinse and repeat the swinging is easy to learn and satisfying when mastered. Other than that you played very well for someone who hasn’t played the previous 2 games. Compared to Simon who’s played that last two… he’s horseshit at the game…. Somehow, you’d think 2 games of experience would make you good. But no he seems to forget all the mechanics every time a new one comes out and it’s frustrating to watch. This was not frustrating to watch at all. So well done haha. Main story is about 13ish hours long. Call it 15-20 if you’re doing side missions and collectibles. Good luck
The good thing about this game is that it doesn't matter if you have not watched the marvel/mcu movies, since the game is set in a different universe than the mcu universe.
Simon played miles morales first tbf, Josh can always go back if he enjoys this. Only issue is this game is so optimised to the ps5 that the last two games might feel much slower
Just a recommendation for the movies Josh. The ones after Endgame fall off a bit, there are still some hidden gems that are very good movies despite a lot of them being poo or mid, I'd recommend a couple of the series' too, like Loki and Moonknight.

What I wonder is why they even evacuated a school that isn't even close to where the fighting took place and wasn't even in danger once. It's a big city. You had to travel a long while before you even reached the sandman. No one ever accused writers of being good these days I guess.
Tbf Simon has played spiderman games before, I would assume the controls and fight styles are somewhat similar and can be translated from game to game. This is brand new to Josh
Spoilers incoming in 3.2.1 go Harry is venom. Venom kills Kraven. Scorpion and vulture get killed by Kraven. Black cat shows up, steals something from the sanctum sanctorum then teams up with miles and goes to Paris. Mary jane becomes scream. Spider-Man becomes anti-venom and last but not least Cletus Cassidy aka carnage shows up at the end.
I was hoping Josh playing this would make me interested but I just cannot get on with superhero media. Just so cringey and predictable and what bothers me the most is that even in cannon there's no sense of practicality, Harry Potters game did that well at least. Guess I'll have to go rewatch that now lol
