Oil based undercoat vs water based

I am emotional every time I see this!
I don’t care what anyone says and whatever these products claim to do....
A oil based undercoat on bare timber surfaces is a must in my opinion.
I see it all the time... and I also declare war on all products that don’t actually explain the mechanics and the biology 🧬 behind it. 😂😂(enough of wars only love 💓)
Even maximum adhesion doesn’t work as great as the oil based undercoat.
I am oil based undercoat as the first coating all the way when it comes to bare timber.
Here we tried all kind of strippers but ended up doing it the good old fashion way, to prepare this surface so that the client doesn’t have to replace these weatherboards.
