I think the keys not settling is because of the axel spindle that moves the keys up and down. It does this in ours which we are still building. Might be a way to modify it so that they stay straight, we’ll investigate that in our video when we get round to finishing it! Great video, would love to see more like this. 👍🤟
Great placement on the piano. Playing the piano myself, I’m in awe of what they were able to achieve with the LEGO ideas. I just can’t bring myself to buy a set that I can’t MOC or put in my LEGO town. Still, it looks great,
8:28 Get some Alex. Annnd... you broke the clutch. I have this set and my keys are slightly "off" too. I think it's the way it sits against the cam shaft that moves the keys.
Apparently there's a hack to get the keys more even. See the video "LEGO Piano vs Real Piano: What LEGO Got Right & Wrong" by "Beyond the Brick", 23:00 minutes into the video. But having uneven keys is quite authentic, actually. It's very common on old or poorly maintained piano's
That was the most fun video I've seen of all of them! I would like myself to get the piano but I don't have anywhere to put it in my house nor does my budget allow it anymore. I myself am a composer and conductor! Any chance Alex that Mindy could come be the pianist for my choir? hahaha We can talk.
Fun video no doubt, I will let you know how the keys look like when i build mine, been looking at it for 6 months :). I am an engineer and would agree that Mathematics is the universal language but is not a universal language. It is, however, the study of universal truths. Again fun video

Yes the keys unfortunately do not sit straight but it is to serve it’s greater function of emulating a player. Great videos keep them up
The wife and I havent built our piano yet, but I've read in Lego groups on Facebook that the issue with the keys are a common problem.

I can't remember where I saw it, but there is a relatively simple fix for the crooked keys.
I’m as disappointed that Mindy didn’t play piano for us as much as she was disappointed on Christmas!!
