It would be more helpful if you actually showed the exact area/part you were tapping on to reset the springs. We saw the springs reset, but not where you tapped.
The metal that holding the spring (the one it moved). Look inside those holes on the side PP. Use flat head screw driver and tap it with hammer. You need to fully compressed the PP. What your doing is just finding a good spot to tap. Make sure you follow the metal slider. That's what I did to reset my E63 PP. I bought harbor freight 6ton press. I didn't have to put in the flywheel .
