Once you get the skin off, underneath looks the same all the years. My rear brake cam is frozen solid after I got the stuck wheel off so I have my work cut out for me freeing it up or replacing it. I have a 1984 Elite 125 and a 1985 base 150 I'm working on. The 125 runs but needs new carb and carb mount while the 150 is a full project but runs.
Hi, unfortunately I don't but it's very easy to do since you don't have to pull all the other stuff off like you do on the rear. Pull front axle out, unscrew the cable from the arm and I believe it will all come apart after that. Once open, replacement will be the same.
Ok I watched a little further and have a question. Why didn't you clean the brake housing off and grease the cam and pin? The rear brake would function a lot smoother if you did.
Here we are several months later and I have an update - changed the back tire, of course took the wheel and exhaust pipe off. The exhaust gasket looked horrible, but it still sealed just fine. Just an FYI for the 3 other people that still own these.
@@Mark-pl8my unfortunately yes. I would recommend ordering the replacement exhaust crush washer for the reinstall. You can try it without replacing it but you’ll likely have an exhaust leak.
Thanks for the post! I recently inherited my late grandfathers 1985 CH150 and have been rebuilding it. This video was perfect!
Glad it helped!

Sounds like a project!
I love these bikes...ive owned a dozen over the years.
This is a very helpful video as im getting ready to do this exact job on my elite 250.
Cheers
have you ever installed a phone charger on one?
Great video, very helpful. Do you have a video or write up on the front brakes?

Thanks for the heads up about the exhaust gasket! I need to replace the rear tire on my 87 Elite 150.

Are the front and back brakes the same I'm looking on partzilla and the same model number is showing up for front and back shoes
Yes, I believe they’re the same. Partzilla has been excellent for me to use looking up parts.
Do I need to take the muffler off to replace back tire ?

@ thank you , so that part number you showed is what I should order ? The seal from the two exhaust? It’s 30mm right ?
Thanks dude!
Has anyone replaced the front suspension?
I have not.
Where did you get the breaks?
I'm putting the exhaust on Honda is back ordered.
Is this same as the 250?
good question i have a 1985 250 elite only has 8 thousand miles on it.
I couldn’t even get the muffler off , wow hardest scooter ever to work on .
@@Mark-pl8my I’d spray it with pb blaster and wait a day. I’d hate to break one of those fittings!
