    It's nice to see Karl so excited for someone to show up. He seems to be a HUGE supporter of the less-than-normal crowd to join these matches. I remember coming from WI for the very 1st DB. Loved the match and I hope you had as much fun as I did my first comp.

      Karl is so good with us weirdos who show up to these matches. He's almost definitely uncomfortable as hell the entire time (ew people gross) but yeah, he absolutely shines at these. Cool dude.

      He was super nice at Cornfield.

      Karl is almost defiantly supportive. The venom he gets from the traditionalists seems to only make him more intent on supporting people usually excluded from this area.

    The Kasarda drill would just straight up kill me, great job on finishing it! Also I loved seeing my two favorite gun channels collaborating on a video, and the Doom-themed stage names were a nice touch as well.

    • @MCXL1140
      @MCXL1140 2 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      The sign says "KARL BAD MAN" and it's because the Kasarda drill is PUNISHMENT FOR HUMANITY!

    • @1982rrose
      @1982rrose 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      But so simple to train for, get a light one and go, you don't even have to shoot to start just do it as exercise, Throw, go, get down, get up throw repeat. Once it's less of a torture get a new KB. Go in stages, 3 or 4 wks at a time, improve, distance & time.

    • @schrodingersgat4344

      I can see myself trying it. They'd find me on top of my rifle dead from a heart attack. "Area man found dead in gun related suicide"... That's the headline.😆

    • @KTheStruggler
      @KTheStruggler ปีที่แล้ว

      Definitely, for someone who's never thrown a kettlebell she did really well on the drill. Good shots the whole way

      It surely helps when you have the muscle and bone structure of a man who's gone through male PEUBERTY. A real girl aint throwing that thing like that

  • @maniakaz
    @maniakaz 2 ปีที่แล้ว +34

    That Kasarda drill gets much easier as you can throw that kettlebell farther. My over 50 year old body got that stage done in 7 throws which means I was much less winded. You did that stage in nearly twice as many throws which means twice as many burpees. I saw you figured out to lie next to the kettlebell (at hip level or so) so you don't have to walk to the kettlebell to grab/throw it. Another tip is to push the rifle forward after you get the hit. That way you can move more forward on the throw without the worry of accidentally stepping in front of the rifle AND you don't have to go backwards to grab the rifle after the throw.

  • @Gunbudder
    @Gunbudder 2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

    do you ever take long shots while sitting on your butt and cross legged? i prefer that over kneeling by a HUGE amount because i get two points of support (both elbows). i use all my leg muscles to move my knees up and down while resting an elbow on each knee. it probably looks weird, but that's how i was taught to shoot a long gun from the ground. its also pretty fast to get up and run or flop around or whatever you need. if you have strong tights, you can just stand straight up from sitting like that (with a half turn to uncross your legs).

    • @TacticoolGirlfriend
      @TacticoolGirlfriend  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Yes! I've done that plenty. I still feel like it's less dynamic.. for an even less stable, but more dynamic position, I like the squat, but that's a whole different ball game altogether. Still, a good sitting position with proper arm-to-leg support is an excellent shooting platform.

    To not to get dehydrated, drink alot of water before you train. If you're not peeing by 10 AM, then you are dehydrated. This was taught to me by a retired USMC 1st Bn 7th Marines Scout Sniper. Pat Rogers USMC (R.I.P.) used to hand out a hydration tablet to every student. Also, when going prone, keeping both heels on the ground will give you a more stable platform. Good job!

    • @dtna
      @dtna 2 ปีที่แล้ว +7

      @Grimace427 In training classes that I've taken, there always seems to be too much testosterone on the range. You try to make suggestions, based on experience and they don't listen or think they know it all. I'm there to learn, take notes and often review them after class. Because training and ammo is definitely not cheap.
