The « not-enoughness » hit home. I remember putting off my essays in high school, because to me it was necessary to come up with an outstanding work, an original angle, otherwise why bother. To my defense, I did mental work/research while waiting for the idea of the century to pop up in the back of my head like in cartoons...I usually ended up drafting a mediocre paper the night before it was due, and even if the ideas were not bad, the time I wasted could have been better used working on the overall quality. And we don’t change much over time, do we?
Thank you for sharing. Not bothering if it's not outstanding is intriguing, and it leads me to wonder when this seed was planted; when you first decided that anything other than outstanding was a waste of your time. I'd encourage you to do some exploring there, as I can only assume this belief seeps into other areas of your life and thought.

Subhana Allah sister Layinka, you have touched the point. I never saw procrastination this way before. Jazaka Allahu Kairan.
We never usually do. And it's a game changer when we start to.
