Completely. Initially I thought that this should be a TV programme, but then I thought no, it wouldn’t be the same as producers etc would interfere too much. These shows are great along with Smith and Sniff podcast.
No wonder people are turning off the telly when programmes like this are being made by individuals that knock the BBC and others into a cocked hat! Top-notch Jonny, only one question How did he manage to build up that collection? He is clearly not still wheeling trollies for supermarkets!
Totally agree, I havent watched 'proper' tv for a few years now either, I came to hate how everything is all jazzed up (Americanised), overly dramatic and scripted. Shows like this remind me of how British TV was years ago, calm and informative but still entertaining.
Fantastic video Jonny, your guest was awesome too, a really nice guy, very unassuming. Well done and thanks to Richard, I thoroughly enjoyed that show!.
Because off top quality programs like this on TH-cam I find myself watching more TH-cam now than I ever watch normal mainstream tv, quality Jonny mate keep it up 👍
"Bangin' the Rev Limiter" (not quite "binging", but close) catching up on all of your "Car Cave" postings! XLNT work, here!! The level of "fit and finish" is fantastic--your pursuit of "quality" is really appreciated! That your going beyond just featuring the vehicles, and letting your and the owner's passion (stated and understated) come through in your spontaneous selection of questions and shared "story" really "hits the mark". Please keep 'em coming!
I'm watching this thinking (i) where did I go wrong in my decisions that I don't have a car collection like that (ii) what a lovely guy (iii) another amazing video from Jonny!
Seen a spyker at CNC Liverpool and loved every little detail. This guy has a wonderful collection and can tell he enjoys each for individual reasons. Love this series and glad to found it so late in the year we're so many episodes have already been filmed. One day we all want a car cave like these!
I read many of the comments and find it interesting to understand how other people feel about TLBS, so trying to sum up my own feelings I think I now feel like I'm part of a gang, and we're in a sort of virtual meeting place for mates and looking forward to when we can next come out to play.
Well that's set the bar rather high! Superb vision and execution, especially that mini. Congrats to Richard on a wonderful collection. Great stuff Jonny et al!
Jonny, your channel just gets better and better. Talking of Spyker details, did anyone else notice the spokes on the wheels are the same design as the propeller on the Spyker badge? That's attention to detail.
Crikey. That Spyker's on another level. Stunner. Can imagine lifts put in that garage, to have another level of loveliness. Really cool episode. Nice fella. P.S. The best mini youll ever see. Hands down. Love it.
Hi Jonny. This is the definition of an eclectic mix. What a nice guy ! Very unassuming and has a genuine passion for all of his choices . The Lamborghini in it 's first iteration is by far and away the purist . Not sure about the idea's on the Porsche ! Still, each to his own ! Thanks Jonny .
My first car was a 62 Mini Minor 850 with a 1300 engine swap and Cosmic alloys. I’m ashamed to say I chopped out the keyhole rear lights and fitted the later rectangular ones! Noooooooo! 🤯 Love the 964 too! Thanks for sharing this awesome collection Richard. (You too Johnny!) 😁 Afraid the Spyker isn’t for me though. I can admire the quality of workmanship etc but the aesthetic? Erm, not so much. Anyway, thanks again guys.
What a thoroughly nice man Richard is, and what a collection. I'm not at all jealous! Your channel gets better and better with each new upload. Great work.
Wow wow wow, that was amazing. Besides the Spyker, I think I like the Lambo the most, it's a dream car from when I was younger, amazing. Richard has been smart to shop around and enjoy/experience as much exotic cars as he can. I love how he's converting those Defender ambulances into a camper. A Spyker is so rare, I'm quite happy you got to experience and even drive it, excited to see the next episode. That exposed linkeage on the Mini and Spyker is so nice to look at. Cheers
What a cave indeed! I've just come back from my own but it's definitely the opposite end of the scale in terms of quality and cleanliness. Still, today's sunlight beaming through a roof window and bouncing off metallic bronze to bath a black car in golden light was pretty special. I wish there were more places for people to keep their collections, where you could maintain this level of elegance but also do some wrenching. Thank you to the Late Brake Show team and Richard for sharing these wonders, and for reminding me to get a better workshop...
Wish I could say I shared more of Richard's car history, but I did have a Honda CRX. It was my first car, and an Si. I loved that thing. Also really appreciate the F355. This was the newest Ferrari out when I really got into cars, and Ferrari in particular. I've always loved them, and I love that Richard's is well used and a Manual. I'd love a classic Mini too. Being from the states, they are almost as rare as the Spyker here!
Jonny my hat goes off to you sir, it’s not just the best Late Brake Show but one of the best things I have seen in a long long time, superb, more of this please 😊
This well put together vid is yet another reason our telly will be going in the skip. What a wonderful collection of cars. The white 964 is right up my street and the Spyker is such an oddity, it’s beautiful 👌
What a cave. Another great idea and great show jonny. You are making normally tv look very boring all of a sudden. Been a subscriber for a long time and one of the best there is.
I do so love seeing peoples car collections and hearing why they have those cars, even if the car's aren't my thing it's interesting to hear why others have chosen them, and people who have a collection tend to have a bit more of an informed choice (beyond a potentially irrational love for them due to being a first or childhood car).
Bloody hell - what an amazing garage. Love the supercars of course, but that Mini 😍. And the sold Panda 4x4 looked perfect 👌🏻. This chap has excellent taste! Great video, thanks.
Brilliant video Johnny. What a collection of amazing cars. Love that he’s got a Spyker amongst them all.I love quirky cars compared to the run of the mill ‘go to’ super cars.
An excellent idea Jonny, and very interesting. As some have said a really nice bloke with a brilliantly eclectic collection of vehicles and each one a story! Compelling viewing!
Richard has got some great taste in vehicles but i wouldn't be sad if the Panda took the place of the Lambo 😉 But seriously an awesome collection and the Landy conversion is the icing on the cake. Thanks Jonny, another 10/10
I can't believe how much the car owner in this video reminds me of Casey Stoner! Which I might add is a great compliment. Such similar personalities. Amazing collection too.
check out the super soco, i have one for 2 1/2 years now never seen another outside a dealers in all that time, still not seen another on the road yet,,all those fantastic petrol powered machine in the middle an electric moped,,
Good to see a practical conversion like that ambulance to camper van rather than something impractical like Mr Nippy or a motorised garden shed. Maybe an idea for a project there - if you get your skates on you can live in it when your house gets demolished.
This was brilliant. I’ve never wanted to own a Mini before but that one was lovely. Spyker was fantastic obviously. The white Porsche was really nice too. I was surprised that he was going to change the other 911 as it looked to be in such great shape but sure it’ll look amazing as a Speedster. THIS IS THE CONTENT I WANT TO WATCH. Thanks J. Hope you can find someone with some rare road car rally greats somewhere.
I wouldn't have a Lambo, BUT, a Spyker C8 is glorious. And really, really great to get out in it. The hardtop was also the car used at Le Mans and many other races. I do have two models from successive years, in two different sponsor colours. Great cars.
This is the best motoring show going, love your knowledge, enthusiasm and engagement, more please! Also, thanks for the promo code, just got 15% off a set of ebc discs and pads that I was going to buy anyway for my polo! 😀
Yet another outstanding video ... I bet Fully Charged think they have pissed on their chips ... You did well Jonny to go it alone but a bit more Greg would be nice too.... Oh and comments have been hacked again... see below
Great video Jonny and what a garage. Very jealous! Love the format. Small point though; the ‘pop-up’ about the Elise says 111bhp. The standard S1 Elise had a K-series with 118bhp but the one in the garage was the 111S model which had the VVC giving 143bhp. Small thing but I felt it worth mentioning!
Excellent content as usual a show for people that love cars by someone that loves cars. Who would have thought it could be interesting without a car racing a train and a plane and a hovercraft 🤔
This channel beats anything on main stream TV. The dedication and quality of each video is just outstanding.
I totally agree!
Completely. Initially I thought that this should be a TV programme, but then I thought no, it wouldn’t be the same as producers etc would interfere too much. These shows are great along with Smith and Sniff podcast.
Agreed
Mainstream tv is dead. Rip
Agreed. TV is crap these days. I only watch a couple of things and rest is TH-cam
No wonder people are turning off the telly when programmes like this are being made by individuals that knock the BBC and others into a cocked hat! Top-notch Jonny, only one question How did he manage to build up that collection? He is clearly not still wheeling trollies for supermarkets!
The BBC used to make shows like this. That was 25 years ago.
Absolutely, the question we all wanted to ask !!!!
Watching, talking, no shouting, no engine noise - half an hour of nice car conversation... I like that!
Glad you liked it Martin. Many thanks.
Strangely.
Leaving 5th gear was the best thing you did. This content is so much more in depth and interesting.
This channel is getting better and better! Compliments!
Many thanks 👌🏽
Definitely
How nice to have a presenter that’s not only interested in his own voice and opinions, and gives the owner the space to tell their story.
This “ going to people’s car caves and garages “ is an absolutely fantastic idea!!! What a great video!!!👍🏻🙏
Channels like this is the reason I don't require a TV Licence anymore
Binned mine 4 years ago, don't miss coooking shows, reality TV & endless repeats whatsoever.
Totally agree, I havent watched 'proper' tv for a few years now either, I came to hate how everything is all jazzed up (Americanised), overly dramatic and scripted. Shows like this remind me of how British TV was years ago, calm and informative but still entertaining.
Exactly same here, ditched my TV package in March. With some favourite channels like Jonnys who needs TV.
the bbc would like to know your location
@@BeaHasPP that's fine, but if you declare that you don't need a licence in the TV licence website then they don't harass you or send round the goons.
Fantastic video Jonny, your guest was awesome too, a really nice guy, very unassuming. Well done and thanks to Richard, I thoroughly enjoyed that show!.
I wish we could have seen more on the Panda as that was just so good. My favourite.
Me too David. It was mint.
@@TheLateBrakeShow ive had five original pandas never a 4x4 and they are getting expensive and rare now ( Well expensive for what they are lol)
@@margysan My first car was an '85 4x4. I'd kill for another.
Real nice collection, like the 911s and elise and mini, I wish the panda was still here and love the landy ambulance.
Am I going crazy, or do I remember the original Panda’s rear seats basically being a bit of scaffolding pole that you unhooked to fold the seats down?
Because off top quality programs like this on TH-cam I find myself watching more TH-cam now than I ever watch normal mainstream tv, quality Jonny mate keep it up 👍
Epic 🙂
355 is so much nicer to look at than the 360.... the 430 etc....

Not much to say other than WOW, blown away by that collection. Can't think of a better way to spend half an hour. Thanks both.
I'll never look at an industrial unit the same way again 👍😉
I really love the sorts of videos. Your interactions with people as an interviewer are definitely what makes this channel great!
Excellent! Proper motoring stuff, enthusiastically presented, no massive egos to massage, no explosions or other nonsense!

Jonny Smith: One man content machine. Loving everything you are doing here and with Richard, really refreshing automotive entertainment.
Oh what a treat on a Saturday night,,great stuff Johnny loving the work

I watch in envious awe! Thank you to Richard for sharing his passions. Time for me to increase my driving lesson prices!
Well that's set the bar rather high! Superb vision and execution, especially that mini. Congrats to Richard on a wonderful collection. Great stuff Jonny et al!
That's a nice pile of cars but if I had to choose a favourite I couldn't leave the Mini out of the debate. Love what he's done to it.
Jonny, your channel just gets better and better. Talking of Spyker details, did anyone else notice the spokes on the wheels are the same design as the propeller on the Spyker badge? That's attention to detail.
Congrats! yout 2nd best video ever.! Being the first your interview with Mr. Chris Harris.

Please please please please Jonny, keep this 'Car Caves' series going.
A wonderful watch. Thank you
Thanks John, we will ✊🏽
Great video Jonny.. OMG the detail in that Spyker bonnet badge and the steering wheel, just incredible...
Thanks Jonny and thank you Richard for sharing your beautiful garage.

I think the Murciélago looks better than every Lambo that followed it.
I think the Miura looks better than every Lambo that followed it.

I think the Aventador Sv is the best Looking version they have ever made
For me, it's always going to be that purple Diablo from Cosmic Girl. :)
This will be a great series. Love the spyker (they were a future classic as soon as they were made) and the F355, those are fantastic in yellow.
My first car was a 62 Mini Minor 850 with a 1300 engine swap and Cosmic alloys. I’m ashamed to say I chopped out the keyhole rear lights and fitted the later rectangular ones! One of the best garge.
Not about the money just about every car beeing a true piece of car history.
Great garage, seems like a good bloke too. Congratulations on achieving such a perfect car collection.
Awesome video. What a great guy with multiple automotive labors of love. More of these cave series please!
Next cave coming soon, thanks for watching
Great new addition in format to the channel, lovely collection & looking forward to the next instalment! Bravo Mr Smith.

Great video. Glad to see it's been filmed with thought to maintaining the anonymity of the location too.
Loved this one, Richard has fantastic taste. Thanks for sharing the cave! Top work.
Cool garage surely, nice to see a Spyker in real like and not a game, what line of work does that fella do to have those, and is he hiring 😃
I can't believe how much the car owner in this video reminds me of Casey Stoner! Which I might add is a great compliment. Such similar personalities. Amazing collection too.
That's a well thought out collection of drivers cars... more of this type of thing Jonny 😎
Thank you Jonny and Richard. What a great collection!
Amazing collection, love the 997 seats in that leather
Still use my Spyker race boots that were released with the F1 entry years ago. Picked them up in Amsterdam and couldn't say no!
