Maybe it would be good if 1010 did an up to date user friendly comprehensive tutorial video on the Blackbox now that it has evolved all the way to version 3. It’s quite a different machine now.
I'm still amazed that my Blackbox has evolved so far from when I got it. What amazing support for a brilliant instrument. For live work it's an incredible unit. I may consider the Bluebox to make my live setup even more streamlined.
Roland and Sequential being pretty big guys on the market don’t provide updates to their products when they are out. This level of commitment is what builds a brand, thanks 1010Music for the updates and hard work
Love the new midi cc options in song mode. I can actually build a song with my guitar footswitch pedal now using only my feet. Truly flexible little box unlike some of the more advanced units on the market they have made simple changes to the midi control to make it useful anyway you want to use it. Can't wait to play around with this as a looper now. They have also addressed the strange midi clock issues with using external gear thru this unit. I have had to do some crazy rewiring to not have anything pass through this box. Now I maybe able to eliminate a few cables in my setup since it's fixed.
Nice! I think i'm still on 1.7 or 1.8. Looks like i've managed to miss version 2 updates, so will need to revisit this device and see what i've been missing. Top marks for constantly updating and improving the Blackbox

Does the blackbox have a gate mode, so that the pad played stops wen pressing is stopped ??
Yes. In Gate mode, you have a full ADSR for this very purpose.

The blackbox does not output CV+Gate, but it does operate at +5v eurorack level so you can load a CV sample and output for modulation.
Looks great but how do you transfer your jams into a daw? audio over usb?
You can use the four audio outputs to transfer to a DAW.
