I just came across all your videos and I just have to say thank you! I've had a hysteroscopy to remove a large polyp last March. I'm shocked to hear you weren't put under anesthesia, as I was in so much pain when I woke up from the same procedure. Granted I'm in Canada so things might be a bit different here. I had it done 5 days ago, as an outpatient with local pain relief. I'm postmenopausal and had 2 polyps. My cervix was very narrow but dr. said its normal at my age. It took quite a long time for dr to navigate and i was in lots of pain. Like terrible period pain. Had a wonderful, experienced dr performing the procedure. Afterwards i felt weak but no pain, didn't have to take any pain tablets. Doing well. Dr. said that in my case it should've been done under general anesthetic but i survived. 😊
I had a symptom which pointed to a possible uterine polyp (through my own research). I then looked up what the procedure was and to my horror, I came across a bunch of stories of women in extreme pain. They do more than treat pain. They can treat many things (but not everything) including infertility, fibroids, acne, and from reviews of yelp, even cancer and bell's palsy. In the end, my doctor said my symptom was possibly caused by stress but I still want to help other women who may have to do this procedure and urge you to look into acupuncture and other kinds of alternative medicine and therapies before submitting yourself to this torture. Hello, which hospital did you go? I am in London and I have mine booked, I’m not sure if I want to do that without anaesthesia! Seems just another way of HNS save money!
I have never seen you look so BEAUTIFUL!!! The lighting? Your hair? Your makeup? That peaceful background?? Not sure what it is.. But you are gorgeous :D Looking forward to seeing videos from you everyday this month! You can definitely make short ones if it seems overwhelming. The countdown to April 26th is ON!!!
I had this done a few months ago , in the Uk in an out patients clinic . It was awful , no pain relief ... took paracetamol before as advised - waste of time . Felt ok few hours after ... but never ever , ever again xx
You poor thing! I can not believe they did it while you were awake! I had one done and was put under anesthesia! Also you made me giggle with the IVF circle. And side note: I just finished my 1st IVF cycle, transfer was on the 23rd, got my beta results today and I'm pregnant. Number was 32. The nurse said they like to see it at 50, so it's low, but it's positive. So another beta to see if it doubles Friday! I so hope this cycle goes so much better for you. Hopefully new doctor will equal better results and a positive outcome!
Yayayayayayayay!!!!!!!! Congratulations Mama! 32 is not far away from 50 and the embryo could have just implanted a little late. Please keep me updated! I'm so excited for you!
Bad news. It went down to 30. It's not a viable pregnancy and I have to go back on Tuesday to make sure it's not ectopic. I was prepared for it but I'm still devastated. We have one frozen, but the nurse said the doctor said he may not want to use it.
Had it done just yesterday. Had minimal pain. Took ibuprofen 1/2 hour before. Only felt slight cramping. You have to psych yourself before you get in to do procedure.
I had this done on Monday and got no pain medication until it was over they gave me 4 ibueprofen. Worst experience of my life I cried the whole time I could barely walk after 😭 they couldn’t even get to all the polyps I have to go back again
I had one done today. Under general anesthesia. Removed tissue for biopsy and 2 polyps. Just feel a bit sore down there. No pain. Get results in a few days
Oh wow... sorry about the circumstances.. not cool.. and honestly ot would be nice if she didnt even charge you but im sure theres fine prints and what not. Awesome this next time wont be charged.. awesome Dr just loving their job. The push back stinks but fingers crossed you have your miracle soon.. hang in there :)
AliJaeJR since for my case i have 2 small polyps.. for that they r charging 1800$.. dat too for surgery in network they charge 85$since i crossed my deduction... for facilities they r charging 1700$ since it s out of network.. i wannna know whether the cost s de same everywhere
Punitha Krishnan I also had two polyps.. the second one was found during the procedure. ill have to track down my billing forms to see what we or the health insurance was charged. i have 2 insurances since im also on my husbands.
Oh gosh. I've been waiting to watch this until after my procedure (just had it today and had a pretty large polyp removed). However, I had general anesthesia, which I wasn't a fan of initially...but now I'm kind of glad I had it. Eek!
Had this done two days ago. Not handling the pain well. i got a local that kicked in after. They don't even know what they removed. They thought it was going to be a polyp. She shaved down (her words) the fundus as it was all thick and uneven. This whole procedure was Victorian torture. Im a redhead so pain relief is delayed. When it wore off hours later i was in agony. Im suffering bloating an kidney area pain now and the bleeding is intermittent but like a tap. Scotland
I'm sorry you had to go through that. Sounds very scary. Glad you are feeling good now :) and I am very excited for your next steps. Looking forward to your VEDA!
I had this procedure yesterday no issues at all very quick had it under general woke up 10 minutes later - had tiniest cramping and had warm pack on.Dr came and told me I had a polyp removed and I felt perfectly normal.Had a sandwich and tea and partner picked me up but only for precaution.Only small discharge for two days and absolutely no discomfort and I felt stupid for stressing about it I had it because I’m 12 years menopausal and had some spotting after sex.Why isn’t procedure done under general? My polyp didn’t show on ultrasound Only hyperplasia of 8cm and coincidentally a large fibroid which wasn’t an issue.Waiting for pathology but pretty confident of good result otherwise if hysterectomy is on the cards so be it.Im very healthy for my age and it just reinforces the need for healthy diet and exercise and being in tune with your body and acting on any symptoms out of the ordinary. Also appreciate everyday and if you are not living your best life work on it.
You sound like my situation 12 years postmenopausal and spotting , ultrasound shows 22mm thickness but could be a polyp , and a cyst on the ovary , I haven't had any procedures I'm too scared even to go under for it done so having a repeat scan in December . This has rocked my world I'm devastated .
I was wide awake for my hysteroscopy as well! But with NO meds! And I have a bladder disease called ic so the pressure against my bladder was killing me the entire time. I literally almost came up off the table in pain. I was moaning..I kept saying please hurry omg omg omg I cant take this. It was awful. And with no meds to.....now I am having my polpy removed tomorrow in the hospital under anesthia.
you are so gorgeous! i missed you only because youtube wasnt telling me about your videos but i found you and turned on notifications for you:) sorry you had to go through the pain but hopefully it leads to a bfp:)
I had a Hysteroscopy and D&C done in August of 2018 to remove 2 polyps. Like most commenters, my procedure was done at the hospital under general anesthesia. I thought they were going to do twilight anesthesia for me, but my doctor said because they were going into my uterus with sharp instruments, they put the patient under general anesthesia so there is no chance of the patient moving. I can only assume you were not put under general anesthesia because they didn't perform a D&C on you as well. With the hysteroscopy, I guess because there is a camera, they are less concerned with you possible moving?
I went to my new ob and she said when I come back for my follow up she will refer me for hysterectomy and when I search here in youtube Is saw your video first and now I'm so nervous😭😭😭
Sarah Loves Peter How was it a few hours after and in the following days? Did you find there was bleeding and more cramping at all? I have to get one for the first time next month :(
Ugh, I know how you felt! I was in so much pain for mine too, but they didn't even want to give me anything! Glad they were able to find something and clean it out right then and there.
So sorry you had to go through that pain :( But it's done and behind you now! I hope it will be smooth sailing for you from here on out! xoxo Leah P.S. You look so beautiful!
Yep! I went the way of the SHG and the doc doubled the fun by doing the Mock Transfer at the same time. Honestly, it was a breeze after the pain of the HSG. That was awful!!
Ok i get my surgery yesterday ,thay didnt put me for sleep without any totally any sedative or tablets ,nothing at all it takes 1 h full of pain and tears
I’m having a hysteroscopy done this Thursday for uterine fibroids but they on,y want me to take ibuprofen an hour before procedure. I’m afraid that’s not going to be enough. They’re taking a biopsy.
Oh boy. I'm eventually going to have a "mini or office hysteroscopy" it says on their site it may be more comfortable then a saline ultrasound and no anesthesia or dilation is required. I really hope it is what they say, did they the regular scope or mini scope on you? I'm so nervous
I had an endometrial biopsy and hysterosalpingogram and was awake for that. I recall a hard pinch feeling and cramping down by my uterus. Having a DandC with scope tomorrow and am very nervous but I'll be under anesthesia. More afraid of that than any pain. I know level 13 pain on a scale of 1-10!
I'm sorry you were in such pain during the procedure. :( I'm glad that they were able to get those nasty polyps. :) You look absolutely stunning in this video. :) I can't wait to follow your IVF circle! ;-P Cheering you on love!
How are people awake for this 👀in Australia we get sedated or under anesthetiser, ! I’ve seen so many videos now of people from America who are awake , wtf that’s like traumatising ! Wow ! I’m awaiting urgent polyps to be taken out via hysteroscopy but they 100% putting me to sleep , I could never be awake ! You are brave

How did u know it was a polyp? I had a uterine biopsy cuz i was having abnormal wierd pink spotting between periods. Results said polyp. How do they know? Couldnt it be cancerous or would the biopsy tell if it were cancerous? Also have endometrial thickening and a 2cm fibroid. Please get another opinion. Go off base and see someone much better please. Even fibroids need to be removed. I had to have internal ultrasounds to check for my polyps. I knew something was wrong because of such heavy bleeding terrible pain and then I didn’t stop bleeding for six months. I’m only 6 days out from it now still in a lot of pain ( nothing like before) and still lightly bleeding. Going in Monday for a hystoroscopy, polyposcopy,D&C, and biopsy. Thankfully I will be under anestesia. That sounds awful!! Sorry you had to face that pain. They should have put you under.
Stop! You are so gorgeous! Okay, play again. God bless pain meds. I like to take some of my mom's (don't tell on me) about 30 minutes before a procedure. So unexpected that they found polyps! But, glad they are gone now.
@@Litalita420 this is a very simple surgery. They do a million of them daily. Just tell your anesthesiologist you don't want heavy sedation and you'll be fine.

I had a hysteroscopy and endometrial biopsy. Thankfully, I was under conscious sedation. I was actually hoping they would find something during the procedure. Then I would have a reason I wasn't getting pregnant. Glad you were able to get this taken care of.
So they didn't see anything at all in there? I saw these bright red patches I watched to ask about but I was in too much pain to have a conversation plus I didn't want the procedure to last longer because I distracted the doctor.
I just had mine two days ago. On the day off, the pain was very intense, but it has been decreasing gradually. I feel much better now. I am wondering how long before I can start working out. Does anyone here know or has any recommendations?
Whether you get general anaesthesia or not is entirely dependent on who your doctor is. It has nothing to do with what country you're in - though procedures such as abortions rarely provide options for general anaesthetic in Canada anymore, whereas in the US, you usually have the option bc you get what you pay for! In Canada, where medical procedures are covered by the government, you're going to get the most cost-effective option - not the most comfortable! Be an assertive consumer. Ask your doctor whether you'll be "out" during these procedures, and if they say you'll have "-sedation," find out what that means. If you can talk during sedation? That's not adequate for intra-uterine procedures, which can be very painful. Women tend to be very trusting of doctors and assume their comfort will be a priority. Wrong! If you wouldn't have dentistry without anaesthetic, dont agree to these procedures either. Also, Tylenol does almost nothing for the pain of uterine cramps. Ibuprofen is more effective - but it won't help much during the acute pain of a procedure; it only helps resolve cramping afterwards. Be a self-aware consumer! Ask questions and dont be afraid to say no, if you're not comfortable with what's being described.
I did too told my doc I will not have any procedure done without sedation/anestisha. I think the doctors making good quick money to do it in the office. Not with me this is so cruel to make us suffer.
Please don’t refuse the surgery. Just make sure you’re under for it please. I had mine 6 days ago in Australia 🇦🇺. I’m still in a lot of pain now. But nothing like I was before having it done. I also had a Mirena insertion. So I’m not exactly sure what’s hurting me one or the other or even both. I truly wanted a hysterectomy but my gyno wanted to be conservative about it. (Me I’m not so happy about that) I was only able to have one child. I’m 46 now to old to try for more. I just needed/wanted all the pain and heavy (like after birth bleeding to end) I’ve yet to have a visit or see my gyno since surgery but I do know I had many polyps removed. Not much bleeding though so far. But have been spotting ever since. Please keep safe see a different gyno till you find one who will put you to sleep for the surgery. Good luck and God bless you. Cheers cherieK 🦋🌈🐿🇦🇺

Thank you!!! I will probably have quite a few short ones. lol
Sarah Loves Pete
I have mine tomorrow. I'm getting knocked out.
Sarah Svencner I wish they did it Live with nothing no pain killers no nothing I scamming and crying
How was your period after that ?
Can I have hysteroscopy on my period 😩
@Hell Bent thanks for your reply 🙏
Yesterday my surgery got done in Saudi Arabia here they’re use general Anaesthesia, this’ll help not to feel pain am ok now Alhamdollilah
I had one done today. Under general anesthesia. Removed tissue for biopsy and 2 polyps. Just feel a bit sore down there. No pain. Get results in a few days
Debbie Price I am going to have mine soon. Worried....and nervous....
@@yuyangzhou5781 are they giving you General anesthesia..you wont feel anything
@@yuyangzhou5781 got my results benign polyps
@@tweety1152 Thank you Debbie, do they give you any medication to soften the cervix prior to the surgery?
@@yuyangzhou5781 yes the night before you take a pill,to soften cervix. I didnt notice any pain at all.
I’ll be doing this tomorrow. I will also be awake for my procedure.
Damn they wouldn't let me! Maybe because I has to have a D&C as well...? Light sedation knocked me sideways!?!?
I'm sorry it hurt you so bad. Good that they removed those polyps. So excited for you to start again!
Thank you!! How are you feeling?
Wonder why they didn't put you to sleep 😁 I have my polyp removal tomorrow and they putting my under anesthesia thank goodness!
JourneyToParenthood how did yours go?
JourneyToParenthood hi may I know how much u paid for the procedure?
Oh wow... sorry about the circumstances.. not cool.. and honestly ot would be nice if she didnt even charge you but im sure theres fine prints and what not.
Eek!
Why didn’t they put you to sleep? I had mine removed but was put to sleep maybe because I had more than 1 or 2
Had this done two days ago. Scotland
Also had zero warning I needed this and was only told to take paracetamol beforehand.
I'm sorry you had to go through that. Sounds very scary. Glad you are feeling good now :) and I am very excited for your next steps. Looking forward to your VEDA!
It wasn't so bad, it just hurt more than I was excepting! I'm hoping I can keep up with VEDA!
First, Thank you for sharing.
Did the Dr inject your cervix with Lidocaine before the scope?
Didn't you take anything for the pain before you went in they gave me a muscle relaxer and I'm still nervous
I had removed polyps last two weeks ago and inserted Mirena coil and now woke up early 2:26am UK time my abdomen so painful 😢
Sara Pierce 😱😱 I’m glad you’re being put under for that!
well done Sarah. One step closer. Best of luck with VEDA and on the 26th onwards xxoxo
Thank you! This is the most painful thing (besides egg retrieval) so it should be ok for the rest of the cycle!
Hey Sarah. Sorry if I missed this info. I have to take breaks from this journey sometimes. Why did you have to have the hysteroscopy?
you are so gorgeous! i missed you only because youtube wasnt telling me about your videos but i found you and turned on notifications for you:) sorry you had to go through the pain but hopefully it leads to a bfp:)
Did u conceived after this
Will be having this and biopsy under a GA..had polyps removed a few years ago also had that under a GA..
I am having an HYSTEROSCOPY on Tuesday with no anaesthetic :-(
How did it go? ❤️
lord now I'm really nervous
Are you getting put to sleep? I think the procedure would be a piece of cake that way.
Sarah Loves Peter no I want to be up and aware.
Tiffany Earley how did it go .. have to have this procedure
How did it go? Was your period normal after?
I had this under general anesthesia. No pain and little bleeding after.
I had one removed today, it didnt hurt to much but its pour bleeding even now 4 houers later.
I went to my new ob and she said when I come back for my follow up she will refer me for hysterectomy and when I search here in youtube Is saw your video first and now I'm so nervous😭😭😭
Sarah Loves Peter
How was it a few hours after and in the following days? Did you find there was bleeding and more cramping at all? I have to get one for the first time next month :(
The procedure is extremely painful I almost passed out walking home they are not honest about the pain
Ugh, I know how you felt! I was in so much pain for mine too, but they didn't even want to give me anything! Glad they were able to find something and clean it out right then and there.
That's crazy they didn't give you anything!
Hi can you help me
So sorry you had to go through that pain :( But it's done and behind you now! I hope it will be smooth sailing for you from here on out! xoxo Leah P.S. You look so beautiful!
Thank you!! Have you had a saline sono or hysteroscopy for your IVF yet?
Yep! I went the way of the SHG and the doc doubled the fun by doing the Mock Transfer at the same time. Honestly, it was a breeze after the pain of the HSG. That was awful!!
So what’s the update now are things different after getting it removed ?
Waiting on mine grr were you able to get pregnant after it?
Ok i get my surgery yesterday ,thay didnt put me for sleep without any totally any sedative or tablets ,nothing at all it takes 1 h full of pain and tears
I’m having a hysteroscopy done this Thursday for uterine fibroids but they on,y want me to take ibuprofen an hour before procedure. I’m afraid that’s not going to be enough. They’re taking a biopsy.
I just my polyp removed but i was general anesthesia when i woke up its done..i didnt feel any pain
thank you this video really prepared me
Does polyp removal cause any damage to uterus or complications in future pregnancy?
It didn’t for me and I would assume that it shouldn’t. It would be an uncommon thing if it did cause complications.
is it nessesary to remove polyp nd what is your condition now...?? Any side effect or anything...
I am having an HYSTEROSCOPY on Tuesday with no anaesthetic???
Im about to have this in 2 days ! They dont offer any sedition, pain relief or anything... im so scared 😮
Hope you ree doing better now. How did it went?
Oh boy. I'm eventually going to have a "mini or office hysteroscopy" it says on their site it may be more comfortable then a saline ultrasound and no anesthesia or dilation is required. I really hope it is what they say, did they the regular scope or mini scope on you? I'm so nervous
Ashleigh Flood I’m not sure on the scope size. I’d get the Valium as early as you can if they’re giving you that.
I have mine a months from now I’m so scared
I had an endometrial biopsy and hysterosalpingogram and was awake for that. I recall a hard pinch feeling and cramping down by my uterus. Having a DandC with scope tomorrow and am very nervous but I'll be under anesthesia. More afraid of that than any pain. I know level 13 pain on a scale of 1-10!
What was the result of your biopsy?
Wow. They put me to sleep. I felt nothing!
You are brave
crap I might have a polyp and on the transvaginal ultrasound it looked big...:( And on top of that I'm also needing to get checked by a colonoscopy...-.-'I can handle 'period pain' but if it is anything like that dang cervical pap smear test crap crap crap.
Ouch! But you look extra gorgeous in this video!
who does that without sedation. thats crazy
I did ,without any sedative
having this done on wednesday. being put under so that's a huge relief
they were in their and couldn't get through!
We're on the same cycle I think I start stims on 26th too!
Wow the exact same day and everything! I hope you don't mind me asking, are you in the midwest? Maybe we go to the same clinic since we're starting on the same day?
Northwest :-)
My experience was horrible.... They tried to remove a massive polyp without anesthetic... I was crying, so much pains... Omg... Finally the doctor stopped the procedure and told me....darling, I will do it again under general anesthetic, don't worry....😢
How did it go with a general.please share
@@sofa1200, absolutely wonderful.... Under general anesthetic, they removed fibroids and inserted a Mirena Coil..... I dint suffer any pain at all... And when I woke up.... I was feeling so good...🤩🤩 4 hours later, I was in my house resting without painkillers.......next days... Same.... No pains at all..... 😍😍😍😍🙏🙏🙏🙏
@carmencaldera5834 Thankyou so much for replying I hv this booked but I asked for local however now thinking I should change back to a general, so worried about it. Could i possibly ask if the mirena gave you any side effects particularly regarding mood.
wait! They didnt put you to sleep??
Nope! :-/
@@SarahLovesPeter was the pain very bad?
How did u know it was a polyp? I had a uterine biopsy cuz i was having abnormal wierd pink spotting between periods. Results said polyp. How do they know? Couldnt it be cancerous or would the biopsy tell if it were cancerous? Also have endometrial thickening and a 2cm fibroid. My dr isnt worried about none of it but these are Naval Doctors which i dont have any faith in
Please get another opinion. Go off base and see someone much better please. Even fibroids need to be removed. I had to have internal ultrasounds to check for my polyps.
I knew something was wrong because of such heavy bleeding terrible pain and then I didn’t stop bleeding for six months. I’ve had this surgery twice now difference this time my new Gyno inserted a Mirena this time to supposedly to help with my period and very bad period pain. I’m only 6 days out from it now still in a lot of pain ( nothing like before) and still lightly bleeding.
Good luck your body’s important and that area of a woman can change and have complications fast very quietly. Please get a second opinion. Cheers cherieK 🦋🌈🐿🇦🇺
Same thing is happening with me right now since 3 months spotting pinkish black spotting I had biopsy dr said it’s endometrial polyps it’s not big but have abnormal bleeding she put me on birth control pill but it’s not helping I don’t know what should I do it’s anoyying
@@billkarley2093 are you still bleeding right now? i’ve been bleeding for a month and will get an ultrasound tomorrow.
So sorry that you were in pain!
But on a side note, you look so amazing in this video...the rural area does well for you guys :)
Thanks! It's been fun being back in my home town because I'm able to see my friends. :)
oh that does sound like fun!
Going in Monday for a hystoroscopy, polyposcopy,D&C, and biopsy. Thankfully I will be under anestesia. That sounds awful!! Sorry you had to face that pain. They should have put you under.
Why didn't you take anesthesia? Are you allergic to it?
I'm not allergic, they didn't give me the option. 😕
Stop! You are so gorgeous! Okay, play again. God bless pain meds. I like to take some of my mom's (don't tell on me) about 30 minutes before a procedure. So unexpected that they found polyps! But, glad they are gone now.
It’s wasn’t bad for me. No pain meds here in the uk. Like labour pain but not for long.
I have to get a Hysteroscopy done very soon. I'm so nervous but this video was very helpful. Glad your feeling well ❤️
Ekk! Good luck! It doesn't last long so if they don't put you to sleep it'll be ok!
I DO NOT want general anesthetic! I have to have a D&C as well as possible fibroids and/or polyps
I don't either, I'm scared I'm not going to wake up. Have my set up for next Thursday and I am so worried.
@@Litalita420 this is a very simple surgery. They do a million of them daily. Just tell your anesthesiologist you don't want heavy sedation and you'll be fine.
wow I had polyps as well but the put me to sleep cause I had a polyp covering my cervix . I all so had a the saline ultrasound and that wasn't pretty also had a contrast xray that hurt like he'll to! Good luck.v
That sounds painful! How did they figure out you had a polyp over your cervix before they went in there?
Ouch:( I am so sorry
Glad they were able to get those suckers though! XO
My wife just had this. It was fine, I didn't feel a thing.
I was out during the procedure. They didn't find anything though.
I have one in 3 weeks! I'll be under at a hospital. 🤩
OMG I thought this was supposed to be done under sedation 😬
he was supposed to put you on anesthesia and not while your up
I had to request a GA. Otherwise they would not have bothered..
Great advice!
This advice is super helpful. Thxx
hi. i will be having my hysteroscopy on 8th of dec.. is it okay if i ask your email address? thanks
+suicra donn i had my on Dec 9. Went fine -- how about yours>?
that's almost like getting a LEEP procedure done. weird
So they didn't put you to sleep?
Wow... I'm also going to have to have this and was told I would be put to sleep
After watching this, I'm refusing to do it!
(Me I’m not so happy about that)
I was only able to have one child. I’m 46 now to old to try for more. I just needed/wanted all the pain and heavy (like after birth bleeding to end)
I’ve yet to have a visit or see my gyno since surgery but I do know I had many polyps removed.
Not much bleeding though so far. But have been spotting ever since.
Please keep safe see a different gyno till you find one who will put you to sleep for the surgery. Good luck and God bless you. Cheers cherieK 🦋🌈🐿🇦🇺
