Great strategies Chris! Playing above and below the drone is definitely worth doing slowly. I think the more dissonant intervals are intimidating for the average player but for sure getting the 8ves, 4ths and 5ths lined up is essential. The real challenge begins with 3rds and 6ths, I find. So important to take the time to adjust them and really listen for the resonance (sweet spot) of the overtones.
@@fierywomanpacnw7004 yeah Im not really sure but I recommend googling drones. Or using open strings or creating them yourself w your violin by recoring yourself playing open strings.
