Filipinos really loves music. Even some are not good and doesnt know how to sing, still we try. This is our way of enjoying and making fun.
Dont take this seriously ovela, they are just having fun! And we filipinos love watching Anne curtis singing everytime.
Ovela, you failed to see that for our country to produce great singers, we got to have a safe place to sing so safe that even the not so good ones feel free to sing.

Hello Ovela, thats actually a comedy show. Ann Curtis even had a concert doing the same. Singing the chorus again and again in a higher pitch than the other. She was just one of the best comedian in the Philippines.
anne is sintunado, and she take the advantage of being sintunado to make people's smile and happy.
For us Filipino, karaoke is not just for singers, every one can join to sing wether you can sing or not
This video is an example of how filipinos love to sing and have fun at the same time.
This is normal in our country Ovela, you will not understand because you are not a Filipino. In every group of friends there is actually one or more who even if they are not good at singing, their friends will still force them to sing and when they are singing and make mistakes in hitting notes or synchronizing, it is fun for them as a group of friends and it gives great joy and satisfaction. Because they were able to make one of their teammates sing despite others being shy or knowing that they are not really a singers.
This is actually normal. Even those tone-deaf are encouraged to sing. And yeah this is not staged, some of them are really bad singers who just got better over time. This is also how it works in a normal filipino household, however good or bad the singing is.
It's Showtime is a noontime variety show which has mixes of comedy, musical performances, competitions, celebrity guest appearances, game shows, and skits from movies and TV shows.
And again, Anne Curtis is half-Filipina and half-Australian, and she was born in Australia but moved to the Philippines in 1997 at the age of 12. She is the sister of Jasmine Curtis-Smith (a GMA Kapuso actress). Her Filipina mother lives in Australia with her son (brother of Anne and Jasmine) and her Australian father lives in the Philippines with his new Filipina wife.
The other hosts of the Showtime family you didn't know are:
- Vhong Navarro (actor, comedian, dancer, and member of a dance group Streetboys), who is on hiatus. Married to TV writer, Tanya Bautista.

- Jugs Jugueta, a member of rock band, Itchyworms.
- Ryan Bang, a full-blooded Korean actor and comedian (originally from South Korea) who is fluent in Korean and Tagalog. He has been living in the Philippines for 17 years.
- Amy Perez, actress and TV host.
- Kim Chiu, a Filipina-Chinese actress and singer. Girlfriend of actor, Xian Lim.
- Jackie Gonzaga (aka Ate Girl), one of the Showtime dancers. Girlfriend of Hashtags member, Tom Doromal.
- Ion Perez (aka Kuya Escort) is Vice Ganda's real-life partner.
theres no specific word to describe the fun, the fun is always a fun in the Philippines uninteresting specific type of people has no place in a place like this, but her effort to hit the right high note is a step toward a correct pitch of the song and we cant wait for that in the coming future! fighting
Well, filipinos are actually very forgiving and encouraging to people who aren't that great in singing. We make sure that there would be no judgement towards anyone who aren't that gifted in singing. Instead we encourage them to just sing w/o the fear of being judged. You can be in the same room with someone who sings like a pro, an average singer and a tone deaf. And i bet you, they can all sing in the karaoke and everyone would be cheering for all of them, sure, people would compliment the great singers but would never tell someone that they are terrible singers, except maybe if they're your closest friends, because well, that's just how friends are 😅.

I'm Filipino myself and can't sing but at least I try just for fun. Even when I'm at family gatherings, sometimes family pulls me to sing with them and we just enjoy life that way. We don't take videoke that seriously as long as we're together.

I personally like karaoke session when there's a tone deaf friends who doesn't care and belt out every note lol. Even though a lot of us can sing sintunado friends "tone-deaf" makes it more fun. I believe that Anne Curtis can now sing better specially on her concert she killed Dualipa song. They only exaggerated and doesn't take it seriously because it's more fun that way. We don't have to be serious all the time, making mistakes like this is what makes us all human and equal and it brings a lot of joy to anyone feeling down.

This is what we call "MAG KAPE KA" moment.
