    Thank you for your valid info but I just wanted to understand how it works for eBay, cause Amazon seems to be straight forward, do they (eBay) also collect import fees on behalf of SA customs?

    How can you not ship electrical items to a country. South Africa is backwards big time. Basically they want the citizens to pay dollar/pound prices locally

    Good day, are all these customs charges based on the purchae price of the product or the value of the product i.e if i buy shoes at a discounted rate from another country meaing that i bought them for R1000 instead of R2000, will the charges charged by customes be on the R2000 (value of the product) or R1000( Discounted rate).

    Hey, i want to buy a phone in the us but i am a bit hesitant because of customs and how much they'd charge me.
    So my question is do you think they'd charge the same amount as the price of the phone? The phone is 2,3kg in weight

    • @PMHK_za
      @PMHK_za  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey, you can actually check this out yourself on Amazon, add a phone to your cart that ships to your location, press checkout and it will show you the customs for that device.
      Right now if I do it it shows me that the customs for a $315 phone will be $65 (For South Africa)
