Havildar Madhusudhan Surve, Shaurya Chakra - 21 Para SF

Listen to his story of Operation Hifazat where he was shot 9 bullets in his legs and 2 in his stomach by a militant while protecting his buddy soldier. But he still managed to kill the militants.
Lost his leg in the operation but with his indomitable spirit continues to live his life with Josh and inspire others.

Bravest of the brave. Since 2006 the story of this legend was unheard at least for people like me. I think 'shaurya chakra' should feel proud to be given to this gentleman. It is so amusing the way he narrated it like nothing major happened. Thank you for bringing these unsung and unknown heroes.

Having heard his story, I am in awe of the Para SF.. These are "Men forged in fire"!
Imagine chopping of your leg below the knee, yourself!!! Any other mortal would have lost consciousness.
Havildar saab, no amount of praises or awards would bring back what you have lost, but, the least I as an Indian can do is to salute your valor & bravery & tell my children how brave our soldiers are & remember them & their families in our prayers. God bless. God speed.
