    I laughed so hard when you gave the disclaimer about doing it live & hopefully not having any errors then immediately getting an error message when installing the package LOL. Good video tho mate

    Dear Quintana
    , you did a great job, thank you so much. one question of my is that how to update the website, for example i wants to post a new paper.

      Simply drag the "public" folder back into your Netlify deploy section

    Great video. Much more practical than RStudio's version. BTW, Is there a way to delete the top two pages which include the blue 'academic' and 'demo' headers?

    • @dsquintana
      @dsquintana  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks for the kind comment. To remove the top section, open up the "content/home/hero.md" file and change "active = true" to "active = false". That should do the trick.

    Really appreciate this tutorial! When I do what you do, I only get a config.yaml not .toml and the contents are very different (not fill in like you do in the Tutorial). Do you know if there is some way around this? Would really love to be able to do it the way you demonstrate here.

    Dear Daniel, I don´t see the public folder on my directory. I am missing something? I do not see the step where the public folder is created together to the rest of the folders (content, statis, themes,...)

      @karlosgarcia9643 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@Rui-gw1wq Have you already deploy your site? Try first to do it with Litium (very basic and default theme). Use Netlify + GitHub. See if the Public Folder appears, I think It should be. Use that Public Folder as a Publish Directory (in Netlify).
      Check this tutorial: th-cam.com/video/syWAKaj-4ck/w-d-xo.html
      If you are not happy with the basic hugo theme, you can change it, but carefull because you might go into trouble. Ask me and I will tell you how to fix it. Hope it helps.

      Mohammad Mohammad I’ve included some details in this associated blog post www.dsquintana.blog/free-website-in-r-easy/ in short, you’ll need to purchase your own domain and then configure this in netlify. Follow the instructions from the domain provider you use. I recommend using Namecheap.com
