Yes, definitely Honey...but she looks like a bit like Matilda herself, too. 😊 Life goal achieved! I used to write in a diary, I have 4 filled diaries, but at some point I just stopped. Thanks for the inspiration to start again. My anxiety/depression are severe and I have 2 months til I restart talk therapy, so journaling will help me along the way. It's about time I got my writing time back. Going out to buy a fresh journal right now. 💖
Despite me only being 14, I have over 120 filled journals. Not all are the type of journalling you are talking about, I mostly just write stories and fanfiction to deal with anxiety and other issues and I strongly advise anyone with mental health issues to write in any form. Whether it be journaling your feelings or days or writing stories and poems, it really really helps. 😁
YES. YES. YES. This is truly amazing and I couldn't agree more. Journaling is an incredible way to deal with any kind of mental health issue and I'm so glad to hear that it helps you heal
OMG I'm so grateful that you exist! 90% of the teenagers these days are having sex, taking drugs, bla bla... and reading the things that you said makes me think that not everything in this world is lost! Thank God for you! and God bless you with you anxiety and other issues.
Eyeless Tate I'm am only 11 and I also have very severe anxiety :) my favorite subject is LINC and I journal every day. It makes me feel so much better and it lets me use my imagination. I love it
My family reads my journals. They use the excuse that I'm "such a great writer" to justify why they dig through my stuff. That's why I no longer journal.
I stop journalisms because of that but know at my 20s I’m picking up the habit again and I’m no longer caring if anyone reads my journal. I’m journaling for my mental health. That’s a priority for me.
10 reasons to start journaling (given from rooted experience) 1. Memory keeper/archive 00:24 2. Ultimate tool to figure out who you are 00:40 3. Helps healing past trauma 1:02 4. I’m 13 and I’ve been journaling since the start of 2016 and I’ve completed 2 big chunky books so far and will hopefully continue to write journals till I’m older, if you’re ever stuck on what to write about here are some journal prompts - Journal prompts ✨☁️ * write about all the zodiac signs. What they are like, have you met any, what they are in your life (best friend, friend etc) * Pick a year, maybe a year you/ friend/family was born find our important things that happened that year. The top song that played on the radio, the movie that won at the Oscars, any notable inventions? * Draw a alternative world. Maybe it’s the same current world but some of the people have horns? Maybe it’s a world in a hour glass? * Are you superstitious? If yes write/draw about your biggest superstition if no, write/draw about one that interests you. * Write/draw about how you feel at 3am. - Hope you find these helpful! Always remember that you don’t need to write about something “important” journaling can be about just letting your emotions out or making something creative it’s really up to you because after all this is YOUR journal and you are in charge just think of it as your space where you can express yourself however you would like! - If you’ve wanted to start journaling but want inspiration or even if you already journal I really want you to watch sosonia’s video on the channel “soulpancake” about journaling. whenever I’m out of inspiration or just want a creative boost I watch her journal flip through and it gets my juices flowing! I was on Pinterest the other day when I came across a paragraph about journaling and it really inspired me to get back to journaling when I wasn’t really feeling it so here is the paragraph! - I tell everyone this and I mean it. Buy a journal. Carry it with you wherever you go. And I mean everywhere. Write about your favourite moments, your least favourite moments, ideas, grocery lists, people you’ve met, strangers you’ve walked pass on the street, favourite quotes, words to remember, what the sky looked like at 7pm, new songs you’ve discovered and what they mean to you, your childhood, places you want to go to or places you have been, how you feel in the exact moment, draw out the mountains, scribble over the pages and then when it gets full, buy a new one. Reread it in 2 years, 20 years, when you need a good laugh, when you’re crying on the bathroom floor, read it to your children. You need to remember these moments in you’re life. They are so important. - Hope you found all this helpful and remember, all you need is a pen and a journal 😌
Overall Adventures I write in my journal whenever I feel like writing....not when someone tells me too. I'll write whatever I want to write about in my journal.
Overall Adventures I do this a lot actually lol. Also all my old journals I read them, then destroyed them but it was mostly cause was when I was with the Ex and didn't want to be reminded of the horrible past! I've started writing in runes! So a secret code!!!
I love the way you talk! I was feeling burnt out for a long time and I stopped writing, but after seeing this video I think I can sit down in front of the white pages of my notebooks again without getting frustrated. (And maybe I'll start a personal journal as well) Thank you!!
I’ve been journaling daily for almost five months and it’s amazing! I had a lot of trauma built from my childhood and it’s given me a lot of anxiety and depression, journaling just makes me feel so much better. I now believe that everyone should keep a journal!
Writing has saved my life so many times! Every time I journal I get to know myself better and I am learning how to manage my own emotions better. It’s a real life changer. And it's actually great for becoming more emotionally intelligent as well. You can process your emotions in a constructive way and learn something out of it. ❤️❤️❤️
I start journaling yesterday for the first time and I am in love!! You inpiring to start. Thank you!! ( sorry for my bad English I hope you understand anything of my comment haha )
Overall Adventures I just started my first journal writing. I really need to start that since a long time but I don’t know how! Hopefully I can stay with that forever. I’ll keep you on update
I started journaling years ago and I did find it to have benefits, it soon became a beautiful habit. I have though been slacking on it lately which I feel in time you feel the effects of that like a build up of emotions and thoughts. I also came across my first journal I started with and was such an awesome walk down memory lane and the fact that I had it written on pages and in my hands my partner and I were reminiscing how far we've come, the changes we've made and yeah I was happy I started! I'm happy to have clicked on your video, reminded me of the power of journaling daily. Was a beautiful boost, thanks 💖🙏
You've sold me on it. I'm going to start one tomorrow, the day after my 38th birthday. It's never too late. If you ever read this, which you most likely won't, do you know of any or have you read any famous journals yourself? I have and read Sylvia Plath's but I'm really keen to read others, especially other writers.
It's never too late to start a journal!! Let me know how it goes for you! I've never actually read journals of famous folks before. I'm not sure why, just haven't gotten around to it I suppose? Do you have any suggestions? And side note - perks of being a small youtuber - I see and usually get to respond to most comments :)
I didn't mean to offend you with my "not reply" remark, I just thought with it being an older video and replies you get from your newer ones as well as having better things to do with your own time, that you may not. But thank you for the reply ❤ I've only read Sylvia Plath's journals which lead up to just before her suicide, Ted Hughes refused permission for journal entries she wrote just prior to her death. They span years of Plath's life and they are amazing reading. I have Virginia Wolfe's diary/journal but haven't read that yet. know the Welsh actor/Elizabeth Taylor's husband, Richard Burton's journals are meant to great reading too so I may buy those. I'm not aware
another thing about journaling that made me want to start is that it can be a tool in therapy. what i mean is that you can get things out on paper and then later tell a therapist what you wrote (if you feel comfortable). this is especially important if you struggle remembering how you feel in the moment like i do.
You voice and your words are so soothing. I have tried to journal my entire life and always ended up getting frustrated and throwing away my journal. I just bought a new journal and I'm excited to start! Thank you for the inspiration.
hey. i have this tiiiiiiny problem. i usually leave my journal at home and whenever i feel like writing my day i always end up summarizing my day and not going more deep. but then again when i bring my journal, i always forgot it's with me and i always feel like i'll lost it if i bring it with me LOL i am so torn idk what to do
rie I kinda have the same problem : I struggle to go deep and not just stay at a summary of the day or of my feelings. .. I would love a video with advices about this !
I’ve been writing a journal since I was 12 years old! I still do it to this day I just keep thinking if my future self and how happy I will be to read them when I’m 30-50 years old
1. Memory keeper and life story 2. Tool to figure yourself 3. Help to heal mental health issues 4. Increase writing ability 5. Release emotional issues 6. Safe space for yourself 7. Helps discipline yourself 8. Helps connecting with your dreams and ambitions 9. Ultimate selfcare tool 10. Makes you more creative Regards
Tina I agree I agree with your last statement completely. I work at a job that's vary uninspiring most days so when I get home I create beautiful pages to let my creativity flow
It's my first time on this video, but I already fell in love with your spirit. You remind me of a friend who used to give me such advices. I enjoyed every freakin' second listening to you. Such passion in your words, your eyes told me how much you love what you're doing, and honestly, that's my favourite thing about people. When they talk about what they love. Even though my friend is far from me right now, I could feel her presence in you. It's like I'm having two versions of her and that makes me happy. 💗😻 I personally love journaling and I started writing in a diary since I was 9. I love art, I have tons of sketch books, journals and diaries. They mean so much to me. They are a part of my soul. 💗
Your channel has brought me back to the practice of journaling. I journaled almost every day in high school and middle school and I stopped toads the end of high school. I am going to be a senior in college and I picked up journaling again at the beginning of this summer. Journaling is HUGE for my mental health and it was in watching your videos that I realized that. Thank you SO MUCH
oh lovely, THANK YOU for these words. I totally agree that journaling is key for mental health. I'm thinking about starting a mini series on journaling for anxiety/depression. Would this be helpful for you?
Thank you for your valuable and inspirational insights. I follow the famous KISS Principle (Keep It Simple & Short). Before retiring each night, I journal by answering these 3 questions: 1) Today, what am I grateful for? 2) Today, what did I achieve or accomplish? 3) Today, what negatives took place (egs. problems, stressors, worries, frustrations, etc.). It takes only 15 minutes or less and is very helpful.
Thank you for this video. I am 49 years old and have been through so much in my life. I have tried counseling but found it has not helped me as much as I need. The reasons you give make me think this will really help me. I am so glad I stubbled upon it.
One of the best things about journals is being able to check exactly when some things happened in your life if you've forgotten the year or date. I've written journals since age 6 and it feels weird to think that I'd stop one day. I was/still am always excited to write it down when something big happens, as if you'd wait excitedly to tell a friend. I am a born writer and when I don't have inspiration for fiction I must write at least something so I write journals. I also start to miss handwriting if I only write on my computer
This is a really amazing video, I love the fact that you didn't spend forever talking about each point like most TH-camrs do. Ever since I was little i've loved to do writing assignments and I was always writing stories. When i was 6 my father got me a diary and I loved writing in it. A couple years later I stopped, but 2 years ago I picked it up again. It honestly really helps me put my mental clutter in an organized fashion, for whether I'm sad or angry. Point is: I enjoy wtiting, and great video
Just loving your words, I'm so impressed with the way you talk about journaling. Thanks!! I'm going to write again, just listen to you and I'm feeling inspired to do it one more time
This is awesome! I journal everyday, am a writer, and you just inspired me to a whole new level. Journaling brings me peace no matter what's going on in my life. It's my personal problem solver and my best support. It's lovely to see another's passion. It's beautiful! Thanks!
I come here because I was confused about difference between diary and journal but I found a great video. Anyway I just have 35 journals but I lock them as a diary. After continuing my study at university I seldom share to my diary. But I do journaling every time I need to write down. Thank you so much😘 bcs after watching this video I am motivated to keep journaling. People surrounding me said I am weird but I really love my flaws. Thank you and love from East Timor😊😊
You know I'm 15 and didn't start yet....actually I often write my emotions in a single page then tear it up and blow them in a open field....it makes me feel so much better
I stopped writing a few years ago because i got too lost in my depression and then i came across your channel. i'm back on writing regularly now and your videos inspire me soo much ❤ Thank you
Excited for a new one! I was keeping myself occupied by playing your journal playlist just because I like listening to them and you have a really soothing voice.
When you mentioned journals as"archive of life", it reminded me of my client, an elderly lady in nursing home who wrote journals her whole life, like since 9 or 10yo. When she moved to the facility, she took them with her but after a while they "got lost". Most likely they ended up in trash or idk. I cannot imagine this would happen to my journals, it can be really something to deal with... so yeah, just to say that these archives of life can get lost sometimes.
the cute dog moving at 5:48 scared the hell outta my a**😂 Btw, I wanted to say I just love the way you talk about journaling, so passionately I started journaling a while ago but I'm never constant, like i used to start and stop taking ages of pause Then a few months ago I started again because of my huge fear of forgetting, I needed something to "memorize" my memories and my thoughts and feelings, to know that someday when i'll be sitting on my rocking chair I'll be able to relive those moments with all the details that a book can keep, and there's no better way than journaling Really thank you for your video, I love you even though i dont know you💞
💜💜💜💜💜 this video was so beautiful! i'm behind on your vids and SO needed your gentle and loving presence tonight, thank you for what you share here!! it is such a blessing, tina! I've been journaling since I was 7 and I LOVE this video. Isn't it incredible how journaling never gets old? 😍😊
Hey, love the video. I am a creative person “Photographer” and I always wanted to start a journal but coming from a family full of men I got a lot of negativity about journaling. Now that i am older I am trying to get into it. The reason why I am writing you is because I have this big problem. I want it to be perfect so if you were to go into my office you would see a bunch of 1/4 filled books and then I would run to the art store for another. I cant keep this up and wanted to know how to overcome this.
I've missed your videos! Thanks to you, I've been inspired to get back into journaling this month. Today I went to a new psychologist and, much to my excitement, she's asked me to use my journal to track and explore my anxiety, depression and dissociation. I haven't done that before, so I look forward to the challenge and hopefully gain a lot of insight into myself.
I know this reply wasn't directed towards me, but I'd still like to share: I've recently put the name "anxiety" to feelings that I've been experiencing for the past few years. I come from a culture where anxiety (sustained, repetitive, debilitating) isn't really recognized as a real issue, so acceptance of this self-diagnosis has not been easy. God's been my best friend through it all. Prayer is a life saver when it has been difficult to discuss anxiety with family and friends. I'm considering journaling my faith journey as a Christian with anxiety. I'm hoping that keeping record of moments of what feel like debilitating fear/panic, particularly overwhelming times, strategies of overcoming them, etc will help keep me mindful of my progress. I hope this journal will be a reminder in moments when I'm feeling anxious to slow down and REMEMBER that I've felt these feelings before, they were not the be all and end all, and that there is an active way through them. Anxiety is funny that way: it can make you hyper aware and mindful of all your failures, shortcomings, weaknesses from today to yesteryear. But a death spiral of anxious thoughts can also make you forget that you've ever survived anything greater than what might be pressing on you in that moment. Been meaning to get started on this journal for a while. Wanna help keep me accountable? What did you journal when feeling anxious or depressed? Thank you for your thoughtful and caring video! God bless you.
Hey Overall Adventure, thank's for this inspiring video. I used to write a journal a few years ago, but then stopped it completely. For some months now, I had the urge to write down what bothered me or just memories I want to be able to remember for the rest of my life. Your video was a huge incentive, so I just got on my bike to buy a journal and some other stuff for decoration (of course ;D). I think it will really help me in the next months. So thank's a lot again for making this video!😊
I love you, thank you. New sub.♡ Now that I remember I used to write a lot when I was at my worst with anxiety... but I forgot, and I tend to forget a lot of my precious memories. Right now I'm feeling lost again and I really thank you because you made me remember there was a way I could be relaxed and find myself. Thank you so much, I'll try it again.
Initially I was a little skeptical as I usually am when it come to anything that I am not comfortable with but after listening to your convicted summery of why journaling is important I agree with all of the points that you have made. Journaling is a free space for one to express themselves and to find a FREE environment to completely express yourself is hard found in this day and age. To have a physical record of your thoughts is an indispensable asset to the understanding of ones history and personal development. Cheers! keep doing what you are doing and thank you for the video!
I paused the video and grabbed my journal that I usually open up to once a month or so. I have been putting it off for a while and when I watched this I was just so inspired that 40 minutes went by without me even noticing! Thank you! I will try my best to journal everyday 🙌🏼❤️.
maybe a bit late to start this habit (i'm 17), but i hope i can control my emotions and minds by doing this and be a better person someday! your video is everything, tina. thank you! i hope you will be always happy wherever you are :)
Thank you so much. I hope it'd bring the boost in my creativity. Writing 4-5 hours of day is my schedule now. After watching this I'm just that inspired. Keep up the good stuff.
Hi Tina!!!!!! I LLOOOOOOOVE your journal videos! They are my FAV! They renew my passion for journaling and inspire me to keep going! PLEASE keep these videos coming!
All youre videos are so inspiring! You and youre videos made me fell back in love with journaling. Only i would love to learn more about selfdiscovering through journaling. What kind of topics do you know i can write about to learn more about myself. What helped/ helps you to write about youre feelings, your dreams ect? God Bless You 💖
Ah great question! I was just thinking as I was watching this that I need to make a video with more tangible self-discovery tips! A great way to start is rereading your journal and taking note of patterns on topic/memories/theme and deconstructing it! Asking yourself WHY are these my patterns and what do they say about myself? Hope that helps for now :)
Hi!! My problem - my journaling became awful since I got a fancy notebook and i get intimidated by it and I am king of afraid to write in it, so now I rarely write and only do it in that book because it was pricy and I am ashamed (
Don't be ashamed! That is totallyyyy normal. I can't even tell you how many journals I let go of because they were 'too pretty'. Do you have a less pretty notebook you can dive into? I also ALWAYS purposely make a mistake right away to avoid the perfectionism trap lol
Yesterday I dived into a pretty simple journal and forgave myself for not being consistent with that fancy one. I was journaling while I was watching your videos and thank you for inspiration/ I wrote about you and made a small doodle-picture of you in my journal :) Though I've been journaling for almost 10 years, I felt like the last 2 years were not effective and mostly because I've chosen the wrong tools (too fancy) and could not get rid of perfectionism(was not honest with myself). I was given cool journals by my friend and felt embarassed that I could not write in them properly. We talked with my friend and now I'm fine/ Start simple)
I've been using it as a substitute to a friend . Having no one to talk to, I talk to a diary. I started writing just after a year after first grade . Not like a journal , I might sound silly " I talk to a diary "
I started journalism one year ago and it helped me so much. I have depression and being able to write down my feelings is really really helping me. Plus it's a way to make memories (sorry for the mistakes I'm French ) 💛
Your videos are always so calming to me. I started a journal about 4 months ago and it has helped me through the worst breakup I've ever experienced. You're truly an inspiration!
A few of my favorites: I'm torn between... If my heart could speak she would say... (this one is hurts) - what do you miss about your ex? what don't you miss about your ex? if you tell him/her one thing, what would it be? If my scars could speak they would say... The woman I'm becoming thinks/speaks/does... Also - sidenote - I just found this book and thought I'd share! I haven't ordered it yet so I have no idea how it is, but I thought it might be helpful :) www.amazon.com/Write-Him-Off-Journal-Prompts/dp/1987859014
I've been journaling since I was eleven. Now I'm fourteen and the only thing I regret is that I didn't start sooner. Deciding to start a journal was one of the best decisions I ever made, and it was such an on-the-spur decision that it almost scares me how much those two seconds in which i decided to write my first entry changed my life. I can't say enough about how much I love journaling... It's beautiful, it's creative, it's sentimental...and I don't know where I would be now if I dropped away from it...
Just started journaling and i must say I'm very shocked with how many pages i filled up. Your tips are spot on and will be watching more videos about this journaling Journey
Journaling is central to my life for all 10 of the reasons you give in this video. I like to start and end my days with journaling. I am wondering how you feel about digital journaling. I have been using my computer, mostly with Day One, to record my thoughts for over 8 years. One of many advantages of this approach is that I can easily read back through my posts.
I began journaling when I was 11 . . . almost 13 years later and I've filled countless notebooks. So while I'm not exactly the target audience for this video, I'm totally going to share this video with people who want to start journaling! I actually convinced my fiance to start a journal back when we started dating . . . 3 years later, and he's still a regular journaler!
Well presented to defining reasons to jounaling. I particularly liked the bulleting of the reasons by displaying actual numbers. Having your journal in your hand, it would flip to pages with coffee stains, some with strait prose, others with content appearing to be some type of analytical approach to a problem. I was inspired, so thank you! ☺🙋
Hi. I see that your name starts with a K and mine does to. Let me tell you some things about me. My favorite subject at school is math. Math used to be my least favorite subject. I also have a TH-cam channel called Galaxy Lps. I have to videos on my TH-cam channel.
YES!! Your words hit exactly where I needed them to! #6 and #9...Thank you for this and its so good to see you again I missed your videos! You really are an inspiration among the many...excuse me now while I go pick up my pen and notebook!
love your energy, passion, and clear voice. Im inspired to re-visit my dormant practice of journaling. Most of my journaling has been in form of mind maps for learning and reflecting.
I was so excited to see this video since I just said yesterday that I need to get back to journaling! I was watching your older videos and got inspired so thank you 😊💕
I would love to see you reading through your journals by year like your 2013 and 2014 journal videos. I completely understand how incredibly personal journals are and how hard it is to be that vulnerable but your 2014 journal video is one of my favorite videos on all of TH-cam. I am so inspired by you and all that you do and all that you say and I totally understand if you don't feel comfortable to share but I just wanted to remind you that I do not judge you and I do not receive your words and your journals with anything but open arms. I have been journaling for a year and a half now (I'm currently 14 and a half) and it's so hard to find beautiful journal oriented content that I enjoy and you have done it, Tina. Thank you so much for sharing your life with me. Blessed be.
Oh my gosh, your words literally mean the world to me. You are spot on - it is unbelievably hard for me to make those videos. Not only am I sharing soooo much with all of you, but I also have to trudge up some painful stuff in order to do so. That being said, I am beyond moved/grateful that they created comfort and inspiration for you. I only have a few more years of journaling before I reach 2017 - would it be helpful if I read specific entries in detail? Part of me wonders if that is even interesting for you guys? But perhaps it is? Thank you, thank you again lovely
Overall Adventures thank you so much for replying! I'm so touched that you took the time to reply to my comment with what a huge inspiration you are to me. I think reading a full or partially full entry in detail would be very interesting but the comfort I find, personally, in the videos you've made already is the general feel of the journals and the times you were going through. One of the main things for me too is the length of the videos. I love putting them on and just letting them run while they just play in the background or I'm actively watching. They remind me that things get better and everyone is constantly learning and evolving and it's usually for the better. I look at the hard times you went through and see where you are now and I'm just filled with motivation, inspiration, and so much comfort. But as I said, I would absolutely hate it if you shared a journal or a year or an entry or anything that you weren't comfortable sharing. I love the videos you've already put out in this style and if that's as far as you want to go I couldn't support your decision enough. I'm sorry for such a long comment and I hope it makes sense. Much love and blessed be.
I love your videos your video about your Greyhound inspired me to adopt a retired racer, and I now have a girl named Cake and foster retired pups! Your video helped me find one of the greatest loves of my life.
oh my gosh, YESSS!!! This is the best news!!! I ended up getting so much hate on that video, I felt like had to take it down...but I really love my greyhound and want to make more videos about her! Cake sounds like the sweetest
I've named my journals since I started! Truly helpful to get the writing flowing, here are the names: Raven Laven Starlight (after T.Swifts song) Morgana (after the Merlin character) And so many more, those are just the ones I can remember off the top of my head!
Went and bought me a journal today and looked up journal videos and came across your channel im so in love im literally going through all your videos so i can start my journal journey soon
Hi Tina! I really hope you read this comment, from the moment I clicked on your video my life has changed forever. You saved my life, and I don't know how to thank you ❤️🌸
I remember started journaling in 1st grade. Now I bought one, a Star Wars journal I had for 3 years, although I have not writing in 2 years. Now I just got back to it. Listening 👂 to ambient music 🎶 helps me focus ever since I practice mindfulness passionately.
Oh my god, you are amazing! Thank you so much! I journal for two years now and you gave me so much motivation to don't stop, insipration and so much good energy. Love you 💕
I have seen a lot of youtubers suggesting on starting a journal, and this video really inspired me to start writing a journal of my own 😊 thank you for this 💜
Thank you for the lovely video. This summer I just lacked journaling because my depression got so bad and it just held me back from doing anything. But after watching just a minute into this I just grabbed my journal I just bought, and wrote. Even though it was only two pages I got so much out. Even if it's just about how sucky and cringy I sound when I write about my feelings it felt amazing. Thank you ❤️ I'm definitely going to journal more and not hold back or have a guide on how my journal should be. Because everyone is different and there way of expressing themselves, and that's okay.
She reminds me of Miss Honey from Matilda.
LITERALLY MY LIFE GOAL. No joke, this comment means the world to me
Haha, i'm so glad! Love your videos, hugs from Ireland xx
Yes! Yes! I couldn't put my finger on who she reminded me of until I read you comment. Thank you.
Ciara wow!! So true
Eyeless Tate I never comment on TH-cam videos but I wanted to say this is amazing. Keep writing one day you will turn your passion into a career!
YES. YES.
Eyeless Tate I have filled 6 journals. It actually does help me get through life so much.
This sounds soo mean :(
Just say fuck you and start judging them by sarcastically comments them.. stay fierce and leave the house if they are so toxic.. follow garyvee also..
I stop journalisms because of that but know at my 20s I’m picking up the habit again and I’m no longer caring if anyone reads my journal. I’m journaling for my mental health. That’s a priority for me.
Man, this is so toxic. I felt rapped when my mom accidently red a page in my journal.
I used to hide mine under my mattress growing up, under our floorboards and taped them under our furniture. Lol.

THANKS YOU SOO MUCH! bro i needed this IM SO IMPATIENT
I’m 13 and I’ve been journaling since the start of 2016 and I’ve completed 2 big chunky books so far and will hopefully continue to write journals till I’m older, if you’re ever stuck on what to write about here are some journal prompts
-
Journal prompts ✨☁️
* write about all the zodiac signs. What they are like, have you met any, what they are in your life (best friend, friend etc)
* Pick a year, maybe a year you/ friend/family was born find our important things that happened that year.
-
Hope you find these helpful!
Always remember that you don’t need to write about something “important” journaling can be about just letting your emotions out or making something creative it’s really up to you because after all this is YOUR journal and you are in charge just think of it as your space where you can express yourself however you would like!
-
If you’ve wanted to start journaling but want inspiration or even if you already journal I really want you to watch sosonia’s video on the channel “soulpancake” about journaling. whenever I’m out of inspiration or just want a creative boost I watch her journal flip through and it gets my juices flowing! I was on Pinterest the other day when I came across a paragraph about journaling and it really inspired me to get back to journaling when I wasn’t really feeling it so here is the paragraph!
-
I tell everyone this and I mean it.

Hope you found all this helpful and remember, all you need is a pen and a journal 😌
those r great ideas but i dont recommend becoming someone who believes in zodiac signs XD. im 13, 14 this year, and journaling is so fun
I’m 14. These are cool ideas bro ngl
I am 11 and this seems pretty cool!
This is so beautifully put together! You are extremely eloquent and inspiring!
Thank you lovely
Oh, Eloquent, love that word
I could imagine it is because of the journaling, too. Someone who has been keeping journals since they were thirteen should be eloquent :D
Overall Adventures I write in my journal whenever I feel like writing....not when someone tells me too.
I'll write whatever I want to write about in my journal.
Her journaling really helped her to be so ELOQUENTLY SPOKEN I guess... I mean if you know you know...
I've been reading my journal. It's funny how different I was last year. . . Ugh journaling makes me happy!
more flipthrough journals, please
I'm working on it :)
thank you :*
I started journaling ever since I was 12 and now I'm 17. It's really fun to do.
19*
20*
I started since I was 16
Same here I started when I was 12 too
I still hate the thought that someone could come along and read your thoughts
This is totally valid. Have you thought about writing and then burning the pages? It's super cathartic lol
Overall Adventures I do this a lot actually lol. Also all my old journals I read them, then destroyed them but it was mostly cause was when I was with the Ex and didn't want to be reminded of the horrible past! I've started writing in runes! So a secret code!!!
Runita x why don't you just buy a lock for your journal?? That's how you keep people out of your private journal.
Invest in a lock box
I love the way you talk!
I was feeling burnt out for a long time and I stopped writing, but after seeing this video I think I can sit down in front of the white pages of my notebooks again without getting frustrated. (And maybe I'll start a personal journal as well)
Thank you!!
I'm 13 now and I want to start journaling like NOW! I've never seen a human who could inspire me that much in such a short time, so big thank you ! ❤😊
Vuokko Haapanen then start one.
I’ve been journaling daily for almost five months and it’s amazing! I had a lot of trauma built from my childhood and it’s given me a lot of anxiety and depression, journaling just makes me feel so much better. I now believe that everyone should keep a journal!
You can write down the super awesome things God has done for you that you can go look back on when you're discouraged!!
Yes!!
Ah that's GREAT news!!!! So excited for you and thanks for sharing with me
Overall Adventures I just started my first journal writing. I really need to start that since a long time but I don’t know how! Hopefully I can stay with that forever. I’ll keep you on update
Me to
I started journaling years ago and I did find it to have benefits, it soon became a beautiful habit.
No worries and I'm not offended at all!!
Anne Franks Diary is a must read :o)
I once read the journal of Dick Proenneke. The film “One Man’s Wilderness” is based on it.
She's the reason why I started to be serious in journalling right now 🥺.
another thing about journaling that made me want to start is that it can be a tool in therapy. what i mean is that you can get things out on paper and then later tell a therapist what you wrote (if you feel comfortable). this is especially important if you struggle remembering how you feel in the moment like i do.
This was really inspiring.
You're really a very positive & compassionate woman. ❤👍
Life's just good when people like you exists. ✨
You voice and your words are so soothing. I have tried to journal my entire life and always ended up getting frustrated and throwing away my journal. I just bought a new journal and I'm excited to start! Thank you for the inspiration.
hey. i have this tiiiiiiny problem. i usually leave my journal at home and whenever i feel like writing my day i always end up summarizing my day and not going more deep. but then again when i bring my journal, i always forgot it's with me and i always feel like i'll lost it if i bring it with me LOL i am so torn idk what to do
rie I kinda have the same problem : I struggle to go deep and not just stay at a summary of the day or of my feelings. .. I would love a video with advices about this !
hmmm that's interesting! have you tried journaling first thing in the morning?
yes - so a video on how to dive deeper into journaling! I can definitely brew something up!
Overall Adventures i dont usually journal in the morning bc i wake up and prepare myself for school and i only have exact time to prepare hskdjf
Take a smaller notebook that you can write on during the day and you can stick the pages you wrote on in your journal when you come home :D
I’ve been writing a journal since I was 12 years old! I still do it to this day I just keep thinking if my future self and how happy I will be to read them when I’m 30-50 years old
1. Memory keeper and life story
2. Tool to figure yourself
3. Help to heal mental health issues
4. Increase writing ability
5. Release emotional issues
6. Safe space for yourself
7. Helps discipline yourself
8. Helps connecting with your dreams and ambitions
9. Ultimate selfcare tool
10. Makes you more creative
Regards
Tina I agree I agree with your last statement completely. I work at a job that's vary uninspiring most days so when I get home I create beautiful pages to let my creativity flow
YES! That is SOO great to hear and so important for your creative soul
Wow I'm so excited to start writing..Writing about my feelings helps me with my mental health
I would LOVE that mini series! It would be extremely helpful.
Hey miss Julie, Good luck on your adventure :)
consistency is key ; remember that
I honestly needed this. I don't have anyone to talk to about my emotions mostly and I guess this will be of great help.
Thank you for your positivity. ♥️
Appreciate you keeping it concise and to the point mate, thanks. Good motivation to start
I stopped writing a few years ago because i got too lost in my depression and then i came across your channel. i'm back on writing regularly now and your videos inspire me soo much ❤ Thank you
I totally feel you
Overall Adventures That sounds amazing, It'll be a great video
You've made me become obsessed with journaling. Thank you for that.
Ahhh I'm SOO glad to hear this!!! Thank you lovely
Whenever I am in a journaling runt, I come to this channel and I am out of my runt 😁 thank you Tina!
Excited for a new one! I was keeping myself occupied by playing your journal playlist just because I like listening to them and you have a really soothing voice.
Awwww thank you lovely!!! I promise that I will respond to your ig dm!!! I'm sloooow lately with responses
I appreciate this so much! Thank you for sharing..
the cute dog moving at 5:48 scared the hell outta my a**😂
Btw, I wanted to say I just love the way you talk about journaling, so passionately
I started journaling a while ago but I'm never constant, like i used to start and stop taking ages of pause
Then a few months ago I started again because of my huge fear of forgetting, I needed something to "memorize" my memories and my thoughts and feelings, to know that someday when i'll be sitting on my rocking chair I'll be able to relive those moments with all the details that a book can keep, and there's no better way than journaling
Really thank you for your video, I love you even though i dont know you💞
💜💜💜💜💜 this video was so beautiful! i'm behind on your vids and SO needed your gentle and loving presence tonight, thank you for what you share here!! it is such a blessing, tina!
Thank you SO much for this comment, Maddy
I journal and I still watched this video.
I literally wish you were my teacher!
I've been journaling for years and it's great to see someone else with so much love for it!
YES!!! Journalers unite
Yes!!! I want to jump up and go to my journal! Peace friend ✌️
i started journaling like a month ago, and i can feel that everything you said is true
I've started journaling a few days ago and this video really motivates me to continue journaling. Thank you so much!
I love you, thank you. New sub.♡
Now that I remember I used to write a lot when I was at my worst with anxiety... but I forgot, and I tend to forget a lot of my precious memories. Right now I'm feeling lost again and I really thank you because you made me remember there was a way I could be relaxed and find myself.
Thank you so much, I'll try it again.
I can totally relate
I love you cause you seem like a calm and peaceful person
ILY❤️
Wow, I’m sold!
Aww YES I am so glad to hear this!!! They are brewing and will be on the way!!!
Very well said! I journal myself, and have found it to be very beneficial. You do such a great job of explaining its advantages!
Thank you so much, I am happy that you got all of us to journal out everything!!!♥️
Her voice is beautiful and you really inspired me thank you so so much. Love you 😍
Your videos are always so calming to me. I started a journal about 4 months ago and it has helped me through the worst breakup I've ever experienced. You're truly an inspiration!
Hi lovely
Actually, that would be super helpful! If you could let me know some prompts I would greatly appreciate it!
A few of my favorites:
I'm torn between...
Thank you so much!! I'll definitely check out the book soon. I really appreciate the time you've taken to help me. It means a lot!
Your videos give me peace... And journaling has helped me grow as a person so...... thank you for getting me into it
I've been journaling since I was eleven.
Lovely Tina, you're always so chill and awesome and informative! Thank you for this!
Just started journaling and i must say I'm very shocked with how many pages i filled up. Your tips are spot on and will be watching more videos about this journaling Journey
Great video I’m going threw some tough times been and got me a journal thanks to his video 😊
I'm convinced! (plus I did buy a mini journal which I haven't touched in a while) subscribed! ☺ Thanks for the video and have a nice day. x
YES!! Your words hit exactly where I needed them to! #6 and #9...Thank you for this and its so good to see you again I missed your videos! You really are an inspiration among the many...excuse me now while I go pick up my pen and notebook!
Aw, thank you lovely
I love how passionate you are about this!! :)
love your energy, passion, and clear voice. Im inspired to re-visit my dormant practice of journaling. Most of my journaling has been in form of mind maps for learning and reflecting.
I was so excited to see this video since I just said yesterday that I need to get back to journaling! I was watching your older videos and got inspired so thank you 😊💕
I'm SO glad this found you at the right time!!!
Blessed be.
Jw, have you read the House of Night series?
Ruth Dever Me? No, I have not.
Huh. Something you said just reminded me of that series! I really enjoyed that series as a teenager!
Your expressed convictions regarding journaling is clearly seen. Inspirational.
I have been journaling for years and I love it.
Yes, journaling is the most powerful tool we have to unlocking our true selves.
I've been slacking on my journal. This is inspiring me to write more consistently. This was the gentle push I needed. :D
oh, I'm so glad to hear that this found you at the right time
I love your videos your video about your Greyhound inspired me to adopt a retired racer, and I now have a girl named Cake and foster retired pups!
Your video helped me find one of the greatest loves of my life.
oh my gosh, YESSS!!! This is the best news!!! I ended up getting so much hate on that video, I felt like had to take it down...but I really love my greyhound and want to make more videos about her! Cake sounds like the sweetest
Overall Adventures how could anyone hate for something as kind and wonderful as adopting a rescue!?!
I would LOVE to see more videos on your pup!

Hi Tina! I really hope you read this comment, from the moment I clicked on your video my life has changed forever. You saved my life, and I don't know how to thank you ❤️🌸
Oh darling, you are so unbelievably kind
I sent this to my daughter! I love this! I’ve been journaling for a long time. Thank you for this! 🙏🏻
Love you 💕
I have seen a lot of youtubers suggesting on starting a journal, and this video really inspired me to start writing a journal of my own 😊 thank you for this 💜
I love you and your videos so much!! Thanks for being so inspiring!!!! You've really helped me so much now and in the past!!!!! 💕💕💕
Thank you SO much for your kind words & support
Thank you for the lovely video. This summer I just lacked journaling because my depression got so bad and it just held me back from doing anything. But after watching just a minute into this I just grabbed my journal I just bought, and wrote. Even though it was only two pages I got so much out. Even if it's just about how sucky and cringy I sound when I write about my feelings it felt amazing. Thank you ❤️ I'm definitely going to journal more and not hold back or have a guide on how my journal should be. Because everyone is different and there way of expressing themselves, and that's okay.
