Gamer RN well that's weird because looking at live videos of Eric it seems he struggles with dans songs. Dans voice is much more dynamic than Eric's. It's such a let down when you hear Eric perform the old songs and the parts where dan would scream/sing Eric just growls. I also noticed that he can't do falsetto. Like at all.
omg such good quality, this is amazing. THANK YOU but where is Anup? Is he busy with Intervals, so skyharbor has a fill-in? I hope Anup is still a part of Skyharbor.
From their Facebook page on 23rd Nov: Due to other commitments, Anup won't be joining us on this India tour. Our good friend Aditya Ashok has stepped up to fill in and has been doing an absolutely amazing job so far!@ox7gen
InfamousPillarKid I think it would be cool if Anup toured on his solo stuff, with maybe Lukas on guitar? But yeah, no doubt Anup will have no problem getting a good gig.
It bothers me they dont play the guitar tappings (?) of the chorus that is the album u.u, they should take plini to tour with them for him to play those parts:) it would totally be awesome!!!!!
Gamer RN lol obviously not true, are you even familiar with Daniel Tompkins? You can listen to a bunch of live rehearsals on his TH-cam channel and you'll clearly see his got phenomenon range and hits highs effortlessly. I've also seen him live quite a few times with tesseract. Dans got the "X factor" which Eric doesn't have.
c widd there's a few live recordings of him doing this song where he hits the notes. the odd thing is when he's in tesseract he hits notes like these fine everytime. his time in skyharbor for live performances was very oddly unlike him
Yah, this is the problem with their type of music. Super hard to play live because of the layering and studio precision that's hard to do live. This was kind of meh.
I watched their second show of this tour day before yesterday. And believe me it was as tight as the album. They played this specific show on the day the landed in India which means no rehearsals.
Yep .. And I don't know why they aren't getting a good drummer. This gentleman is completely off and all over the place and there is no punch .. vocals atleast you can manage with someone but drummer no chance. Hope they find a good replacement.
First chorus and I'm already thinking to myself that I never want to see another negative comment about Eric. Like seriously Dan and Eric are both great but everyone always hates on Eric. TBH I have seen videos where Eric Emery absolutely nails this song and Dan failed on every single chorus here.. fuck all you Eric Emery haters! They are equally talented! A little different styles but equally talented. Btw stillllll waiting to see the full album with Eric on TH-cam
+Диско Стю You're both morons, Skyharbor existed way before Anup or Dan joined. If we are to play the stupid game you kids are playing, then it would be something like "Skyharbor is nothing without Keshav" since it started as his solo, studio project.
Snolla 1988 That's the problem with pushing yourself to do the best vocals you can. With touring, and playing a full set it's hard to keep your voice in good shape and condition to be able to hit the high notes perfect. Dan's vocal have never been considered easy, no matter what band he is playing with. Maybe he should record more boring vocal lines? Or just shitty monotonous screams?
Listen to one of Einar Solberg's recent performances with Leprous. His range, intonation, technique and tone are insane live just as they are on the recordings (Hitting the low G#2's in "Lower" and effortlessly nailing the E5's in "Bonneville" for example). To Dan's credit though, he definitely got better live and now knows how to save stamina for more demanding passages.
It's not about cheering for him and his band to inflate his ego which what you insinuated. It's about having a good time and not being a fucking zombie. Also you may be paying to get in but most bands lose money on tours. Why do you think most bands work outside of their band?
You're basically question begging with the zombie comment. There's nothing zombie-like about clapping and/or cheering when you want to. Plus, people enjoy things without yelling all the time, all around the world. When I eat an awesome meal, the chef doesn't yell at me to yell at him. Same deal with a symphonic concert.
I love Dan's energy. Such a dynamic performer.
I was there!! Awesome band ,,awesome show
Great vid, really hope you guys upload more from their set!
need some catharsis man
I have like 3 and a half minutes recorded na lund, it's good quality also. You'll see it today
I can’t get over how good this band is ...
It bothers me that they do not actually play the intro :/
Same. Like a lot. When there are people on TH-cam making covers they play the into too.
For what it's worth, their drummer has a playthrough where he plays the intro solo
Nobody like Anup Sastry
And the chorus leaks neither
Those 5 seconds really bothered you? Are you OK? Did you recover from your disappointment after six years?
I get fucking goosebumps hearing this
4:38 Let me BUUUUUUURN!👌🏻🤘🏻
Woaaaaaah. What energy!
Good change with the vocalist. In my opinion Eric Emery is the indicated for the band. Regards from Chile!
+Cristian Cortés yea.. dan is good but emery looks very promising
buenas ctm!!!!! hahaha
+ralorox emery s voice scale is very high..Much better then Dan..Emery pitch is very high

Disagree

Awesome Indian Metal Band Skyharbor so, keep it up always and keep going ahead like this and keep rocking, Best wishes 👍
It bothers me they dont play the guitar tappings (?) of the chorus that is the album u.u, they should take plini to tour with them for him to play those parts:) it would totally be awesome!!!!!
Juan Carlos Hinojo but plini didn't write nor record those parts? He only did a guest solo on the constant
Blueskythinking i know, but if they invite him, he could play those parts too : )
Have not yet heard a live recording of Skyharbor where Daniel hits the highs properly
yes his Highs are poor
+Gamer RN emery highs are awesome

Blueskythinking link?

First time I'm confused this is Indian band Last time I meet him vocalists awesome band great voice
thats a sweet stage banner
Backing track needs to come up! Come on sound man!
Yah, this is the problem with their type of music. Super hard to play live because of the layering and studio precision that's hard to do live. This was kind of meh.
lmfao the microphone was shit, they sound phenomal live
good quality
does any one know the full set list?
If I'm not wrong, it was
Allure
Evolution
Halogen
Catharsis
Patience
Guiding Lights
The Constant
Celestial
who is playing the drums? o.O
alright that's Aditya Ashok filling in for Anup.. And lovely stage by the way.. Nicely done NH7 team!
Where is anup?
Not as tight as Anup Sastry this guy.
Hmm, also bad mixing man, live recording... :(
we still have a video. :P
I watched their second show of this tour day before yesterday. And believe me it was as tight as the album. They played this specific show on the day the landed in India which means no rehearsals.
***** true that! o.O :D
Yep .. And I don't know why they aren't getting a good drummer. This gentleman is completely off and all over the place and there is no punch .. vocals atleast you can manage with someone but drummer no chance. Hope they find a good replacement.
Intro?
Thought Anup's sub didn't use a double pedal until halfway through. Turns out there was a problem with it.
Dave Flores I think the problem was it wasn't Anup playing the drums. The timing on the double bass at the end of the song was brutal.
I was there

Skyharbor is nothing without Anup Sastry... Sad drummer.
***** Wow, so I guess they are nothing now?
higler420 Yea, i guess so ;)
***** :'( R.I.P. Skyharbor
You will be remembered.
+Диско Стю You're both morons, Skyharbor existed way before Anup or Dan joined. If we are to play the stupid game you kids are playing, then it would be something like "Skyharbor is nothing without Keshav" since it started as his solo, studio project.
Where the heck is anup??
Anup didn't make it for that tour in 2014. The current drummer (Aditya) filled in for him
Ah,thanks for the info..
the opening drops harder than a nokia phone in 2002
3:10 lol some guy walks from left to right across the stage. Really couldnt have walked behind? Lol what a tool.
WTF is up with the recorded intro?
upload allure
It doesnt sound like a studio version
Wow, the singer is having some trouble here. I love this kind of music but I always hate the vocals.
Snolla 1988 That's the problem with pushing yourself to do the best vocals you can. higler420 I don't really like the style of singing. Live or recorded. It's OK to not like things.
Snolla 1988 It sure is.
he is one of the best live
Listen to one of Einar Solberg's recent performances with Leprous. The vocal, is he even indian?
Zion Makan Daniel Tompkins
british
Ouch! Vocals! :( and the drummer too!
the singer sounds a little burned out...
Those are the singers of extreme metal, that's extreme shit! XD This song wasn't so easy to sing ;-).
extreme metal?
Simon Freudenthaler Yes
Solfaify lol this isn't "extreme metal" it's barely metal. And that's not an insult to skyharbor either.
Blueskythinking It's progressive metal
pinches gallotes! mejor que use falsetto!
Dan is still the same
LOL
Is the drummer playing that bad on purpose?
WTF Is this drummer? hahaha
John Cena
Did he really just order the crowd to cheer for him and his band? Lol if they enjoy the performance they will do that on their own.
+Michael cro cop Ha, yeah singers do this all the damn time. It's like wait aren't we paying you to make the noise? I cheer on my own terms!
It's not about cheering for him and his band to inflate his ego which what you insinuated. It's about having a good time and not being a fucking zombie. Also you may be paying to get in but most bands lose money on tours. Why do you think most bands work outside of their band?

Plus, people enjoy things without yelling all the time, all around the world. When I eat an awesome meal, the chef doesn't yell at me to yell at him. Same deal with a symphonic concert.
Blueskythinking no they usually don't. most bands in fact make most money from touring.
These comments are so sad.... sad sad people. I saw nothing about him wanting more cheers but just stage performance. Amateurs wouldn't know
fuck if you want some real true metal shit turn on to the north east metal bands
If ya can't reproduce it live then you shouldn't play it. Ridiculous backing tracks.
Definitely a studio band. They sound like amateurs playing along to pre-recorded audio. Very disappointed.
Extremely poor drumming
i came here for eric.. sad
Damn he can’t sing live 😖
