The nostalgia is a lot. I played this on IOS when it first came out, in fact I used to have broken sword 1 and 2 and I’ve never forgotten the times I got confused. Thanks for bringing the memories back!
The 1st game will always be a masterpiece. Broken Sword 2 was also good and amazing, however I found it slightly boring close to the end. The 5th Broken Sword was and will always be my favourite and is also a masterpiece. The rest in between wasn't good. Especially when they turned the game like Tomb Raider. The PC version when you use just the mouse is way more classic Broken Sworn game play.
You’re right - 3 & 4 with their box puzzles weren’t very good. If all of the box puzzles & dumb stealth are whittled away, the third’s story is better than the fourth’s IMO - it was good that they kept up with recurring characters, at least. When they returned to the original art style in the fifth one, I was really happy - plus it was a great game. I really hope that a sixth is in production along the same lines - they proved in five that they can keep releasing amazing content, so they have the opportunity to one up themselves yet again if they tried...

You should play it though. You are making a good point regarding the complexity of the game itself. This puzzle is certainly not what you should be afraid of to be honest (it's based plainly on combinations of different drawings/pictures) it isn't easy to see on the first glance but you will sure get grasp of it in a handful of minutes. What I was having most trouble with while playing the game was probably just simple things like giving a fish to a cat, to get a red ball, which will come in handy later on. I think it's mainly because of how arbitrary/irrational these actions are, but after all, it is the chaos and a whit of the overall stupidness contained in some of these tasks which make this game an unique experience, which I certainly will not forget easily. I agree with you on the remarks, that you mentioned on the end, since I believe this game is a perfect point 'n click adventure. :)
With every game in the series after BS2 I feel I've played a George Stobbart imposter. The real George tied and gagged in a cupboard somewhere. After watching a let's play of BS5 I'm glad I didn't play it myself.
I’m surprised you didn’t think that BS5 was a return to form, I loved it. What about it did you not like? They did away with the lame stealth & box puzzles from 3 & 4 in addition to bringing back the beautiful art style.
I love how George says, “...it once read ‘Marseille’ not ‘Mars’!” As if the box could possibly have come from Mars. I really love the subtle humor in Broken Sword. The writing is great.
I feel like this game was good, but not great like the first one. It was a worthy follow up, but it just didn’t seem to capture the same scope/magnitude/greatness of the first one.

The delay is because I am less familiar with the remaining games, it's a bigger time investment to record a properly edited smooth playthrough. So it much harder to find the time. yeah i was 2 minutes in the broken sword 2 and i already hated it: the bad guys tried to kill you by setting lose a spider... a frickin spider smh. how stupid is that. it made me so angry cause the first game was such a masterpiece. but this one is such a joke.
Michael - I agree, the overall story of the third is good at least! The antagonists & bringing back the Templars was fantastic, although the dragon at the end was a tad ridiculous... & then the fourth’s story was super bland & forgetful.
@@meme-ef2rm Support the creator though, its a great game. I would rather recommend buying it from GOG since its DRM free, so you wont have to worry about Steam being all DRM on it. You get both Remaster and original game that way

2 is a good game but with a rubbish ending.
I actually enjoyed Broken Sword 3 not as good as the first 2 but the locations are good. Especially the old theatre
