So glad to see Tanaka get a chance to show his capabilities in a league with a "global profile". Even in Germany he was not able to show what he is capable of. Ive always been impressed by players who understand positioning, in an instinctive way. I view Tanaka as a lot like Ryan Giggs - everyone could see he was an elite player but only the best coaches and teammates understood WHY he always seemed to be in the right place at the right time, and how rare that positioning instinct is. Tanaka still has room to grow. Im sure he will be a key coontibutor when Leeds return to the Premiership, where they belong.

Ampadu will likely replace Struijk, not Rothwell or Tanaka.
At Liverpool under Bob Paisley, great players couldn't get back in the side because the team kept improving. You had to wait for a chance.
