Bag fulls of promise undoubtedly but, like you say, he needs to look at the tools we have available at Saints and devise his strategy accordingly. Despite our very poor results thus far in this league, to my mind he needs to show more willing to compromise in areas where our squad can't deliver on his vision and instead find a way to get us playing so we stop losing games, and god forbid perhaps even win a few. Really insightful commentary. If it wasn’t for Kaminski, Luton would be bottom. Little to do with the outgoings (including Barkley), little bit more to do with disastrously managed last minute window, massively to do with Edwards’ indulging himself in Man City-type play when Luton doesn’t have MC quality - resulting in players being out of position, absurd formations and and thereby sucking out the team’s energy, passion and team motivation. Hello Jacob. Thank you for you blog. It is very interesting listening to someone that is Genuinely giving their opinion from an outside point of view. I can understand much that you say, and some things could tweak the current situation into a more positive mode. However, if you had the current embarrassment and frustration of being a Luton supporter 24/7, your suggestions may be trying to stop the damage more that seeing what is causing it. I fear that far more blame can rightly be placed at the feet of Edwards than can be seen from an outside point of view. Edwards took a 95% complete Luton up to the premier. However, the style Luton played and most of the players were inherited by Edwards. Whether Luton won, drew or Lost, we were just happy to be there. If the minimum amounts of points and fines were deducted from other teams, like they should have been, then we may have stayed up, it was that close. The other main reason Luton was relegated was due to a lack of playing staff. Yes, players like Ross Barkley really help, however if look at Luton’s history, we have many quality layers go through our books and any one or two players are not what we rely on, it is teamwork and energy together with professionalism. We played many premier games with 50 to 75% of our main players out and injured. With a little more experience and being able change a few players we could have stayed up. There was very little wrong with the way we played. The main issue we have now is that Edwards is trying to make Luton play in a boring possessive defensive way and not the normal attacking way that we are known for. On top of this he is playing many of our players in the wrong position and not the places that they excel in. They look as though they do not know how to play, it is awful. Even if Edwards could make it work, it would probably be boring. I would rather be excited losing than bored winning. If we lose against Watford and do not win the majority of the following four games, then I wish Edwards all the best in his future employment away from Luton. We are Luton and want to stay that way.

You gotta remember Barkley was probably on a small term contract and there was probably a relegation clause, considering we got him for a free and sold him a year later it payed for his wages and a profit yes we have been in the prem but we haven’t got as much money as you think we are building a new stadium

Sorry to say this but this video is generally wrong in every which way mate. I’m sure you put a lot of effort into this but you don’t seem to actually have a clue as to our situation bar some very very basic research.

You've said a few things wrong before the 10min mark in the video, after the 10mins you've said some truth by using the data. We made a lot of money from players sales. The most in the clubs history. The reason why the amount of money spent wasn't as high due to the signings we made last year. As players were deemed top end Championship players, like Chong, Kaminski, Nakamba. It's far too early to judge our transfers after 9 games, also the way we're playing doesn't help the situation. You're a little bit wrong about the Barkley situation. You're not going to get a Ross Barkley in the Championship or even get close. We signed someone a little similar, but he's not the level of Barkley, which is Baptise. Not Krauss like you mentioned. Morris has been injured, so Adebayo has to play, unless we change the formation to fit others. Regards to Rob Edwards, the football is getting worse, since we've played Millwall away, we could've lost 4 or 5 in every game. Sheffield United he played 4/5 out of position. He didn't actually needed to make many tactical changes, he's over complicated it. Rob has two games left, the our derby against Watford and then Sunderland after.

We are inevitably going to lose Riggy if he continues on the trajectory.... However what do we do to maximise profit? I was thinking sell him soon to a top club with a loan back agreement...however if we loaned him back for a couple of seasons then we leave millions 2) keep him and sell him before his contract starts nearing and end...Problem with this is will his value continue to rise or do we risk him running his contract down?? Obesity things for sure us we need a bonkers sell on clause!! For now, I'm loving seeing him in the red and white...a joy to watch, especially knowing he lives in Lukes Lane...his family must be so proud and the fact he's not gone to Newcastle suggests they're listening to advice

The way he wants the ball and can take it, control it and distribute it in very tight spaces on both feet at that age, has not been seen since a 17 year old Phil Foden. He's is possibly better off the ball closing and winning than Foden was (at that age). He's box to box , winning against blokes twice the size of him and he wants it.

From a raw points total, before the season, we’ve probably done just about what I expected or a little less, but I feel that has more to do with us collectively underrating the quality that’s in our squad. Most of the players have undoubtedly played like they’re good enough. I appreciate how you didn’t discuss Ndidis usage as I feel that’s the big unpopular decision he’s made that’s been vindicated so far, as I think hes actually been a lot more effective as an advanced 8 than he has as part of a double pivot. The substitution logic is what does my head in sometimes, he waits too long to make subs, heavily favors players on yellow cards regardless of if it makes tactical sense, and rarely uses all 5 of his subs. Then he will do some nonsense like play Fatawu on the left when we clearly lack a threat on the right flank or defend a lead vs Palace in a 5-4-1 with Hamza Choudhury as a wide midfielder and I just fail to understand what is going on in his head. His decisions haven’t been exclusively bad. He did a good job against spurs as well as the first half setup against palace (which he promptly threw away almost exclusively with his poor game management), but he’s skating on thin ice with a lot of people if he can’t produce something better very soon.
