I saw Channel One DJing at Primavera in Barcelona a couple weeks ago, subs so powerful they could rattle the fillings out your teeth. Incredible stuff.
I was there listening to him, I can confirm. It was literally crazy.
Excelente sesión!! Hope they come back soon with more popular prices, and enjoy it with all reggae lovers in bcn
Nuff respect to Channel One. Those guys been around for ages and stayed 100% real. Foundation of sound system. I was taught while growing up to always respect the Elders even if you become more powerful than them.

This thing of having only one turntable to be "roots" is really funny. The founders used only one turntable because... they only had one. It's not a style, it doesn't help listening, it's just self-referentiality.
Just respect their culture and enjoy the limit.
@@hooncho2829 Having only a turntable is not culture, it is not respect for tradition, it is taking on the technical limitations of a past moment. If it were a culture to be respected then everyone should mix with a mixer with a maximum of 8 channels, only analogue tapes, no sequencer, no crossover, no modern eq, etc. etc.
@@felipeladino1947 Still some Soundsystem accept one turntable limitation and mixing in different way from normal 2 deck mixing using siren and a toaster. It is called Warrior style and there are many warrior style sound systems. They just use different way to jump to next track. It’s all about respect for roots reggae, vinyl culture and Jah Shaka and i think this can called as “culture”.
If you prefer other style, then show your support for them.
@@hooncho2829 I have great respect for the fathers of sound, in fact King Tubby, for example, did wonders with very few means used with genius that changed the history of music. I just wonder if he himself would have used modern technologies (he always pushed the technologies of his time beyond the limits) or if he would have been a leader of fundamentalists. It's just a reflection, if anyone thinks it's disrespectful I apologize but sometimes warriors move from spears to lasers without necessarily losing awareness, militancy and mysticism. And sometimes it makes me think about self-referentiality
@@felipeladino1947 i got the point what you want to say. Someone will make development and innovation like the pioneers did before. It can come from new technology but someone can find it from the limitation not just following the past. Hope you have a good day!
Nope
This sounds like actual trash not even kexp can make this sound good not a fan 😂 I know this is mean but I guess I’m just unkind to each there own lol
Maybe I’m just mad because they not using Cerwin Vega in that stack 😅
interested to know why you think that
No one cares what you think go listen to some pop
you are just on a different vibration. One day you might find it, when you do it is powerful. 💥
U a madman😂😂😂😂
interview sucks
The interviewer did an excellent job. Thoughtful as well as knowledgeable about Ch1's history. It was because of kid hops that KEXP had the honor of hosting them. Sorry you didn't enjoy it.
Jah youth obliterated their outdated sound.
Im glad ch1 got rid of their racist toaster.
why you got shades on indoors?
