Awesome piece of gear. I have the larger one, I think it’s the recon. I have it set up like a chest rig as a get home piece of gear with my pistol, 2 pistol mags and 3 AR mags
Great work! Love the information and insight/input. You mentioned white light vs other options, I have created that preference overtime with my conceal carry but a video covering that from other perspective, even with the considering getting into night vision/ir.
Brother, I have checked out several of your videos and I must say I really enjoy your videos. Your gear and content rock! We have similiar tastes. Keep it up
You got the combustion. Need some cover (trash bag), cordage, cutting (knife), and a container for those water tabs. 5 C.s bro. Nice vid. The ePIRB is great. I have the same one. Perhaps the best item money can buy.
I have one of the original kit bags and the tarahumara. Both are some great pieces of kit. Looking at the ute next. I can easily fit a g21 with an x300 u in the kit bag.
I've seen you a few of you videos where you had this pouch, so I finally broke down and bought a pouch, not $100 cool bag like yours, mine is $30 (condor outdoors) bought a strap for it, and its working great for me, just need to brake it in, and maybe a smaller handgun.
Exactly! It doesn't need to be the same brand or how expensive an item is It just needs to work for you as the individual. If it works for you thats all that matters 😁
There main shop is in Grand Junction Colorado, they have amazing products. I got a bunch of there multi camo products!!!!! Nice setup brother, if you come to southwest Colorado you gotta give me a ring brother. We could go jeeping or do some rucking. Maybe make some survival videos up in the high country.
I like everything he has but if it were me, id replace the compass and notepad with a knife and a space blanket. Also, I hope he has a water bottle as well. Besides that, nice set up.
I think your spot on, what round are you running in the 10, your survival kit, made or bought, an I couldn't make out the flashlight( watching on my phone) an NO backup IFAK on that w/ a boo boo kit in that ? or do you do some thing else. I have been looking at these an you may have answered a question, I want to tote a G40 in one but it looks like it would be tite or barely fit, your thought bro, an thx for the vid to. PS. No biggy on the G40 I can substitute that for my G20 if you think the 40 is NO BUENO
My every day carry supports this system like the medical kit and knife and other aspects. The HPG "heavy" kit will probably support a G40. The normal kit like mine might ish cover a g40 lol, I will have to check.
@@PreparedAirman Didn't know they made a "HEAVY" type will ck it out, thought it was one size fits all type of gear, what bullet are you packing in your 20, me looking at buff bore hard cast 220 gr. But have to get another barrel for it, thx for the input bro.
I just purchased this thing. It has not arrived yet. How well does it interface with a large backpack with hip belt? I was very surprised to see how much stuff you got crammed in there! I didn't think so much stuff would fit! I plan on carrying a Ruger Mark 4 in there. It's 9 and 1/2 inches long. You think it'll fit okay?
@@PreparedAirman thanks for answering brother! I was hoping to use a Maxpedition loop backed holster with it but I do not think that's quite going to work because of the length of the firearm, and the fact that the velcro strip inside the Recon kit bag is in the middle of the bag. But it'll work for my Taurus G2C! Have a great weekend!
you should check out the pathfinder bottle kit. has molle so you can attach small bags to the sides and back. could be a good combo with that kit. self reliance outfitters.com
That Hill People chest rig is awesome. Been on my want list for a while.
Merry Christmas.
Look into emersongear for a chest pack, a bit less expensive and a couple more features.
Love the 10mm upgrade and the 2 extra mags you bring 💯

Decent setup, and another informative video. Stay safe over the holiday season, look forward to seeing more videos 2020.
How are there no comments? Great video bud, good to see an airman getting his feet green. Good information too.

It's actually in the works! Night time environments with different tools available or what type of tactics can be used.

I really want to check out the mini chem lights , you're the only person I ever seen with them .
I’ve recently ordered a chest rig. This video was good to suggest what to run in it when it arrives.
Hope you like your kit. I dont think you will be disappointed 😁
@@PreparedAirman What pen do u like for RIte in the rain book?
Rite in the rain bullet pen. And add the aftermarket clip on it. That's my go to pen.
Prepared indeed!
This is really helpful. I think I'm gonna pick one up now.

ITS COST AS MUCH AS HIGHER QUALITY 15-23L BACKPACKS
THEY ARE SUPER GREEDY
SIMILAR QUALITY/SIZE CHEST PACKS ARE 50-90 BUCKS
Great vidio thank you, I’m pretty interested in getting one of these chest rigs.
They do have some awesome stuff!
Vraiment superbe vidéo
I love my hpg chest rig. I like your setup
Well done and well thought out....
I think your first review on the HPG rig was the first of your videos I've watched.
I changed it up a little bit figured I would share the changes. Thank you for your continued support! 😁
I am super interested in the little survival kit! Can you do a video on that kit? I like the bag you have all that stuff in.
Put your Glock in a holster. Trigger could get snagged by something in the other pocket especially if shifted quickly like in a fall.
Came here to find this comment. This is the only important change that needs to happen to this loadout.
I like ALL of your videos and archive them onto specific Pinterest "boards" of mine for future reference.
Love your set up. Only recommendation is to move to Arizona :)
Maybe add in a space blanket/ heavy duty trash bag to your kit
Great rig! Love mine
Setting up my rig also very simple

Sounds like a great time!
Nice set up.
Looks good. Didn’t see a knife tho. Always have one on me.
Have same GPS. Very nice one....
Thank you for the video I need help on mines!
Nice setup for hiking. Do you think dental floss, plastic tooth pick and first aid cream will fit?
I like everything he has but if it were me, id replace the compass and notepad with a knife and a space blanket. Also, I hope he has a water bottle as well. Besides that, nice set up.
Have you tried the Ribz Front Pack? They work pretty well.
Chest rigs. In your opinion, what do you think is better.....Hill People or 5.11 Gear.
I haven't used the 5.11 gear chest rig before, so I can't exactly say. The FullTang Tactical kit bag is the best I have used so far.

What size recon is that?
Does the light ever get turned on while in the bag?Nice setup!
Out of the many years I have ran this it has only done it to me once. I have since added a Vertx tactigami holster and have had zero issues.

It should fit. My Glock 20 is 8 inches long and it fits with some room to spare.

What about medical?
My Every day carry includes medical 😁
Where did you get small pocket.survival kit from for chest rig
I made it myself. It's a version of th-cam.com/video/iXrCEI2jld0/w-d-xo.html
👍🏻🇺🇸

NEVER CRAM!!! Either get a larger kit bag or downsize your gear. 😁
Is the medium recon chest pack?
This one is the original Kit bag with Molle. I'm not sure if this model is technically made anymore. I have since upgraded to the Kit bag heavy.
