    FYI Everything here was bought with my own money. I have never been in contact or contacted by Hill people gear. I just enjoy their products.

    I've owned this rig when they first hit the Market and is stowed in one of my truck's floor storage compartment...this is a must for anyone who's "preparing for the worst and hoping for the best".

    Glad to see a fellow Airman throwing his hat in the ring for this genre of video. Well done.
    I just got my Classic version in elk red this week and I love it. Plan to use it while cycling.
    Keep up the good work. Aim high.

    Cool chest rig! I made one for running 5 years ago (I run 3 miles every other day on trails in a 1000 acre Wilderness Area behind my home) there are Panthers and Bears on the trails I run..I'm lucky, I have only been attacked by a Whitetail Buck and a few Turkeys!!

    They make those drink mixes with caffeine in them. Same thing just the added bonus of caffine. Sharpens your focus, can help wake you up, can help those with caffine withdraw, or can help you with a migraine when combined with a basic NSAIDS or Tylenol.

    very useful little kit it looks like, your video led me to their site and I will likely be purchasing some of their packs. They 100% should hook you up with a sponsorship. I've never heard of them until this video.

      @PreparedAirman  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Maybe. I like being non biased. I fear a sponsorship could make people assume I'm a shill for that company. If it happened ill let my Patreons and subscribers decide whats best for the channel and if we pursue this opportunity.

    Hey man! I know by now it probably doesn’t bother you, but if that gap created by the g20 mag does bother you look on glockstore for those little grip fillers! I would definitely recommend them. Plus you’d get a little more handle on your gun anyway!!

  • @uber1ms
    @uber1ms 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    I’d also probably swap the holster to a Velcro backed kydex for better weapon retention if you carry with one in the pipe

    • @PreparedAirman
      @PreparedAirman  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Originally had a kydex holster but it was too bulky and weighted too much. The Vertex holster isn't flimsy and covers the trigger Gaurd very well allowing extended carry with a round chambered.

    I've been looking at using one of these with and without a plate carrier. My plate carrier uses placard with a clip and/or velcro. Do you think this could attach to a plate carrier placard style? Great video. Good review, perfect audio.

    • @PreparedAirman
      @PreparedAirman  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I would say out of the box no it won't attach to a plate carrier. Maybe with some modifications it could. But I would say their are better options for that specific need on the market.

    Great video. Thanks. Do you have an aftermarket barrel in your G29? If not I would use “penetrators” instead of the hard cast. I don’t think the polygonal Glock rifling is designed for cast ammo? I bought an aftermarket barrel for my G20, but jacketed penetrators work well. I’d try underwood ammo or Buffalo Bore to find the best penetration for my needs.

    • @PreparedAirman
      @PreparedAirman  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah I don't have an upgraded barrel and they highly recommend not to shoot cast bullets but all in all thousands of people have with no issues. Granted I don't plink around with those rounds and it's a just in case load so if it happens it happens lol

    Would you recommend this chest gear bag for hiking or one of Hill People's more compact chest rigs?

    • @PreparedAirman

      I ran the Original chest rig for a few years and went to the heavy rig for more room. It all depends on what your going to put in it and what's your frame size. I'm 5'11" 145lbs and the heavy fits me fine.

      More then likely satellites will still work for a few months after an event. They are already designed to be EMP hardened because they are already in space with no atmosphere/magnetics to protect them.
