Very informative not all over the place same as internal Audit process difference is IT you focusing on systems
If I have Internal Audit qualification and experience how do I navigate to IT Audit ?

      Yes❤️I agree with you.
I know a few people that went from Internal audit to IT audit and they actually didn’t start from the beginning, they went in as experienced hires. But these are all from the big 4 so i don’t know how it works outside because honestly it wouldn’t make sense to start from scratch when you are already in audit. You know the work already it’s just that the testing is different.

I’d advise you to move within the company that you are in (that’s if you have a chance or an opportunity) to make it easier for you unless you don’t mind starting from a graduate program. And then from there it’ll be easier to apply for any other IT audit jobs going forward.

This was very helpful, as a Final year Information Systems student are there any certificates that I can do to get more knowledge about IT audit and maybe give me an advantage when Applying for postgrad positions ?

Hi Lungi, if you are starting from a graduate program you don’t really need experience but certifications will come in handy for you, it’ll show that you are skilled. Personally, I just completed some data, cyber security, and IT security certifications on Simplilearn, Udemy, and similar platforms. There are also courses specifically related to IT audit on Udemy that you can find. I recommend also taking a course in SAP, as it's a tool used by IT auditors, which will improve your chances of getting a role in the IT audit SAP specialization. However, if you want to learn more about the field, just search for it on Udemy; I believe it has the most comprehensive information available. Please also note that there is some data and cyber work that you might come across in this role and the only programming language really is SQL (not that you’ll be programming but it’ll help if you understand it).
I hope this helps and wishing you the best of luck 🫶

    You look amazing!!!
You said nothing for a good 4 minutes…. I think the introduction should be shorter.
    Great explanation though.

Your explanation of ITGC control got me wondering what happens at Big4s these days. Next time I would suggest you use a teleprompter than reading your mobile phone. First 3mins was also nonbeneficial. Good luck though

Thanks for your feedback, I appreciate the constructive criticism part of it. I think the Next time you add a comment like this to someone’s video, I would suggest you to think about the impact that it can have on the audience and if they will feel misled with the information on the video or not, if you feel my information is incorrect or questionable, I would suggest you to correct me or add the correct version on the same comment that you added your feedback on. We are all learning here and it doesn’t help for someone who seems to know better to judge and not add value to anything. Like I keep mentioning I’m giving the information based on my experience and it is an insult to me and the organisation that taught me what I know for you to say “ got me wondering what happens at big 4s these days “. I don’t want to say too much but please do better I think you might be an educated person if you know so much ..
