    How often do you work from client vs working from home?

    • @preshm
      @preshm  ปีที่แล้ว

      It really depends on the manager's preference as well as what the client prefers. Usually with complicated, difficult or new audits you would work from the client. But it is pretty rare. I worked at the client a total of about 10% of my time this year, 60% working from home and 30% from the office.

    Why didn’t you do your articles at a TOPP company

    • @preshm
      @preshm  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Unfortunately I’ve come across a lot of positions that specify that they want “candidates with big 4 articles “ so at the time I wanted to leave more options open incase that became a more common trend in the job market . Secondly I had heard that it gave you more exposure in the field, allowing me to have a chance to branch off in different directions if I wanted to. Obviously this is not entirely true and there’s pros and cons with both types of articles

    Is it true that First Year Trainees don’t get paid overtime?

    • @preshm
      @preshm  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Sandile! No not true. You do get a choice between taking it as leave days or as a payout 😀

    Thank you for the video, starting articles at the same firm so this was really was insightful😍 Wanted to ask if you would advise someone to move closer to the office?

      Hmmmm tricky one! I mean it helps when you working from the office but it’s not all the time you know? But when you do, it helps . Maybe try keep it within a 20km radius👌🏾
