    in order to avoid using ice in the blender, I froze a few pineapple pieces, so that I minimize the dilution. It worked brilliantly. Just a suggestion

    best..yes the best Pina Colada recipe is here. I did tuned it after many tests. Frozen chuncks of pineapple, 30ml cream of coconut, 60ml Aroy D coconut milk, 120ml pineapple juice, 25 ml orange juice, 15ml lemon juice, 60ml rum (40ml Plantation 3Star + 20ml Plantation OFTD) + some ice. 3-4 pcs. Blend ca 10-15 sek. You are gonna thank me :)

    I really enjoyed this cocktail. My preference is for the blended version. What do you think? Also the rum you use will change the flavor. I used an over proof rum for this which gave me a banana flavor as well. Very tasty however a lighter proof rum might be a better choice for some of you.

    I've tried a few times to mix a Pina Colada that I like. I am fascinated by it. Even though these are exotic and noble ingredients, that's still not enough for me. Although they are expressive in terms of taste and should be sufficient, the integration is not yet "homogeneous" enough for me. Pineapple and coconut are particularly difficult because they stand out and quickly cover everything else. My version is with Valernum and Curacao, which gives things the right direction. A cocktail with a lot of potential that can be revolutionized. I've gotten some ideas and inspiration from you and my next attempt will even contain egg whites and the high-proof white rum also seems like a finesse to me. It's embarrassing, but a good cocktail needs lots of bottles. But when coconut and pineapple go hand in hand, this basic idea can be realized. They are great ingredients, but they need a lot of support. But you should get them, otherwise too much of their uniqueness will be lost.

      Hello, I like the ideas that you are working with, and I do agree that sometimes coconut and pineapple can be overpowering. I find that sometimes you can get a great balance, but not always. The egg white is an interesting idea, and I am very interested to see what you eventually come up with.

    Thanks David, I can't wait to try this. I'll only use one ounce of the rum though. Waaay too strong 😀. I was told that lid prevents people from tampering with the rum. Some people water it down at the bar 😂

      Ah. I see. That makes sense. It was good but stronger than I expected. Thank you for the Idea and the bottle. Is there anything you would like me to make next?

      Hi Denzyl. You can add coconut rum for sure. You just need to watch out for the sweetness.

    I actually think that this cocktail is one of the greats and still has a lot of room for improvement and deserves attention.
    In addition to the egg, I'm also playing with a coffee bean.

    Is the coconut cream sweetened (like coco lopez) or is it jus regular coconut cream?

    • @boozeontherocks
      @boozeontherocks  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I originally used coconut Cream, but I recommend you use a cream of coconut. It will be a little sweeter, The coconut cream I used is more for cooking and is unsweetened.

    What the difference between cream of coconut and coconut cream

    • @boozeontherocks
      @boozeontherocks  9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Cream of Coconut is a combination of Coconut milk, Sugar, and salt. Its a sweet cocokut flavour. The Coconut Cream is the fatty Coconu8t Cream. It is not sweet but gives you a strong coconut flavour. You can use either depending on the cocktail and the consistency that you want.
