    Great pond i have one very similar that I'm setting up soon. Could you please post a link of the filter you have? I'm considering buying the Blagdon 3000 filter but it has an led light on it that I'm not a fan of. That nozzle looks really good too better than a normal fountain. Well done great job!!

      Thank you! If you have a video, I will take a look - we are redoing ours after a house move so I am looking at different ideas or structures for inside. The pump was from obi.de in Germany - it only lasted a year sadly and no matter how much we cleaned it, it just failed - such a shame! We have now bought this one: AllPondSolutions CUP-359-2000L/H All in One Pond, its about half the size so lets see how it handles the test of time. Keep me updated on how you get on if you dont mind :)

    • @Rowan8888
      @Rowan8888 5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hey Ryan, that's a shame about the filter hopefully this next one works well. I ended up buying a Grech cuf-2500 which has the same 2000l/hr rating as yours. That should be more than enough as it will turn the water over 20 times /hr. If you want I could show you on whatsapp once it's all done up to you. If I get it anywhere near close to how yours looked I'll be over the moon!! Thanks for the info and best of luck with the new setup 👍🏼

    i have searched and searched to see if these kinds of pots are ok for fishes and im so happy to see someone finally making a patio pond using one!!! i will be watching all updates! perfectly beautiful! how many gallons does this size pot hold and was it very expensive?

    • @RazzyRyan
      @RazzyRyan  4 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Thank you so much! We're just about to do an update, theres been lots of growth! This one holds around 26 gallons of water (100L) according to the manufacturer and they're from www.teraplast.com/en/ ours cost 89€, its a little pricy for a pot but I really like the look of them and they're really quite sturdy! We put in 4 very small golfish about a month and a half ago and so far theyre thriving! We do a water change every 7 days due to the smaller volume and we also have a very intense filter with a UV light for the volume. Theres also lots of plants. So far the fish seem really happy and healthy, swimming around a lot and always eating. We put in some rocks and slate to give them hiding spots which definitely made the more comfortable. One thing I have noticed is just how much widllife has been attracted by the pond! I've seem a number of birds land on the side for a drink or a quick dip, and currently theres a steady stream of honeybees that come to the edge of the pond to drink which i really like (love honeybees!) The update will be soon :D!

    Very nice realization, inspiring... but from the image and the stated diameter of the container is about 80 cm the volume is about 120 liters, not 400....

    Can i put some small fishes in it such as guppies, mollies, etc...

    • @RazzyRyan
      @RazzyRyan  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I had a few small goldfish in there, they were very happy. I would just advise to put a mesh over to prevent them jumping out, and give them ample hiding spots to also try and keep them from wanting to jump.

    What filter- pump are you using?

    • @RazzyRyan
      @RazzyRyan  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Deirdre, it was a 1000 L, its a pump-filter-UV combined. I bought this from Obi in Germany, but they no longer sell it. It was actually quite a pain, it would clog with algae so we ended up replacing it with a different pump. Let me know if you want the link, we bought the replacement from amazon UK.

  • @MissChelle
    @MissChelle 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Awesome job! I can’t see power to the pump, how did you hide the cord? This is exactly what I’m after. Cheers from Australia❤️🇦🇺

    • @RazzyRyan

      it's up just behind the water lettuce and then we tried to put it in the corner of the wall in any gap we could find and look it around, it's then connected to a plug in a water/weather tight box under the outdoor sofa :)!

    Hi sir namaste sir that plants are original or what and then name of it. And God bless you

    • @RazzyRyan
      @RazzyRyan  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      The tallest one is water lettuce, then we also have lily pads submerged and the final one is called duck weed in the UK. Only the water lily returns every year in the UK/German climate. Good luck and hope this helps!

    How can I get that kind on nozzle

    • @RazzyRyan
      @RazzyRyan  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      This came with the fountain, it looks like a V shape piece of plastic screwed ontop of another V shaped piece of plastic. I believe it is called a BELL nozzle, have a google of bell nozzle and a few should pop up. :)!

  • @heranzhou6976

    that's beautiful! how did you connect power to the pump?

    • @RazzyRyan
      @RazzyRyan  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      迷情往事 we luckily have an outdoor power socket, so all we had to do was just place the cable from the pump under the door frame (to hide it) and then connect it to the out door plug. If you had a window, it could be connected through there into an indoor power outlet, my dad does that for his actual pond, he has an outdoor water proof box with all the plugs connected to an extension adaptor, then the extension lead runs through a partially open window. I have seen lots of ponds without a pump, but we really would like to put some very small gold fish in here, and as the volume isn’t huge we thought having a powerful filter and UV light would assist (plus weekly water changes).

    • @RazzyRyan
      @RazzyRyan  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I should add, the lead runs up the side of the pot! We've hidden it with the water lettuce plants, so the two large water lettuce you see at the back is attached via an elastic band to the cable running over the pot. I have seen people drill a hole and seal it with pond/aquarium safe silicone. However, we didn't want to do that in case of the pump failing and needing to replace it.
