Ages ago I got introduced to this band through a AMV (from Otaku's Vengeance). Couldn't find the album anywhere and ended up importing it to the country as an actual CD. Still some of my favorite music to this day.
I’m moving out to the country, and found this CD in the process. problem is I no longer have a CD player. I couldn’t remember why I had it. TH-cam, then it all came rushing back after the first track. Love it.
the only album they ever made and is legendary can't help to be transported back to my college days smokin weed on my early 20's I used to listen to this album almost every day over and over💯🔥😎
I remember ordering this CD from a record store before they was Internet music, i felt like a kid a Christmas when I finally heard tha whole album lol...their so unique but at tha same time familiar, wish they was still around for sure! So fuckn raw 🥵🔥☠️🙌🏻🤘🏻
subtle hardcore influence all over this one. the palm-mutes. also the 'you're so fly' parts, like if you were 13 and only had been listening to korn, this shit sounded way different, almost strange. transition band for a lot of kids making the move from nu-metal to hardcore, like slaves on dope and factory 81, etc. this holds up the best of all of them, probably in large part to the good production and the fact that his vocals are a chino-model but also had their own power and authenticity.
I'm glad I am not the only one who thinks this sounds a little bit like hardcore. Relative Ash definitely has some Deftones influence. Plus, some parts remind me a lot of Taproot (Very underatted nu-metal band.) But this band easily has some sick guitar grooves that remind me a lot of bands like Hatebreed, E Town Concrete and Vision of Disorder. If the second Relative Ash record actually did come out 20 something years ago, then I believe this band truly would have been huge on the map alongside with groups like Sevendust, Slipknot and Korn.
Nenashawn Autumn because they only had one album, a few tours and broke up. If they stayed together and kept touring this album with the likes of the bands they were lucky enough to be opening up for they would have blown up no doubt in my mind about it. Not to mention they were super down to earth nice people.
@@dalekay9ine I found the lyrics and I was super uneased lol! I cannot understand the lyrics but they make me feel uncomfortable. I wonder why the lyrics and the album.
Relative Ash is Relative Ash. Deftones is Deftones. I personally think Relative Ash was able to capture that angsty spirit of nu metal far greater than Deftones; ripping off their style or not. Doesn't matter. They did it too, & they did a great job.

@@bnasty1114 Lol, exactly bro. I think it's fucking silly to say Relative Ash ripped off Deftones, even stylistically-EVERYBODY & THEIR MOMS had either spiky hair or dreadlocks, & wore baggy clothes during this time period. Omg I loved this band back in the day I think I was like 15 or 16 (I'm 33 now) but never heard anything else from them do y'all know if they ever released anything else
They did a hometown show a few years back it should be on TH-cam if you look deep enough. Marcus ( think that's the lead singers name) is in a band called White Rhino I do believe it was called but its ABSOLUTELY NOTHING like Relative Ash.

Regor Brentek yeah but deftones didnt sound like this until 94, i know this band sounds like deftones but as far as the rip off term, remember early deftones sounds like tool, bad brains and faith no more
There is a different between sounding like and straight copying the sound and this band did just that. Is that a bad thing, nope, but there shouldn't be no confusion.

great band !!!! great album!!
1:26 goes stupid hard. Great riff.
Sounded very much like Deftones' Adrenaline when I was first listened to this album back in the good old days...
🏆 always 🏆
Props for posting this, another band i thought was lost to time. thank you!
Someone posted about this on Reddit so I had to check it out. Odd that it isn't on Spotify. The listing is there but has been removed.
Same here
This album is fire!
I remember seeing them on the Tattoo the Earth 2000 your great album too bad they didn't last long

Love this song so much

Them and Reveille.
Justin Moyer The second Reveille album was bad as fuck
I remember both bands from the compilation album "To The Bone: A Hard Music Compilation"...
Reveille aren't as good. I like lots of bands more personally. The vocalist sounds like a retarded fred durst which is saying alot
These boys, La Dispute and Deftones wouldve been a sick show

They broke up for a long while. They were from my old neighborhood-some of the photos in the album jacket were 2 blocks from my house.
Deftones ripoff or not i dig this band
its not a huge ripoff tbh its got its own vibe, alot of these bands had simmilar approaches to music and some of it was probably coincidental too
Sounds just like the Deftones holy s***
gonna tell my kids these guys were deftones
I hate the fact that in the end, the only band Deftones failed to influence were themselves.
Anybody remember this song from "To The Bone: A Hard Music Compilation"? I originally got my copy at Big Lots for $7-$8 back in 2002.
dudee what a blast from the past.. P.o.d., project 86, primer 55, glassjaw... wow, thanx for joltin that memory 👍

Adrenaline
I guess Deftones wrote too much Adrenaline material and decided to give these guys some😂😂
