It would be great of you could reference the equipment used and possible links at where to get them (quality that you have used and know are not junk). Its SOOOOOOO hard to source tools (especially tools that can be trusted) starting from scratch.
    Really great video. Thanks

I know a quicker way to get the end results with the strobe method,as Ihave balanced very many props on real turbo-prop engines. When you did the first run and saw the white line at about the 8 o'clock position, stop the fan, move the fan so the white line is at the same position as what you saw with it running, now since the accelerometer in at the top of the fan housing, you simply go straight down from there and add your weight to the spinner dome based on the numbers you got.If you look at that method, you will see the weight that you just put on to get a good balance is at the same place as what you just did. When I did it this way,I would get a readout of imbalance in inches per second(ips).By how many ips I had showing,I knew how many grams of weight were needed. The end result was like yours,I could not stop the white line(I used refective targets on each blade of the prop)and my ips reading was at so low a number,it culd not be done any better.

how do you mannege to run the fan always in the same speed ?
i see that you are running your SERVO TESTER to a same constant number ?

Hi, yes I set the ESC to the same value each time. Basically you need to run at the same speed during each run when balancing.

Now the question is, this balance is only tuned to one frequency level (i.e. one RPM range). How do you balance the fan across the entire RPM range of operation? I think it's difficult because there will always be frequency crossings across the RPM range. I had a tough time trying to tune out vibration at all RPM range. There is always vibration at certain RPM where it resonates.

Hi, if the problem you have is imbalance then it applies to all RPM ranges. If you get resonance at certain frequencies, then the issue is unlikely imbalance rather something else. Best to perform a frequency analysis of your setup to identify what the problems are.

Desperdicie todos esos minutos para algo que ni sirve, dificil de balancear y no quedaría a altas Rpm.
