I am a old fire department tower ladder guy love sketchy stuff like that, rode the 265' Bronto in the early 2000s now Bronto has a 367' out. love it man.
Nice addition ta yall equipment. I know I'd sure nuff like one. At least it'll save V Belts legs climbin. Yall deserve er,from what I've seen so far, yall work yer butts off
Cool little rig. Ran all types as a commercial glazier, from the tow behind models all the way to 140' JLG lifts, definitely sketchy but tons of fun. I rent them occasionally for tree jobs now, but that style looks better suited for offroad use, definitely going to find one to rent, good luck with it. Look forward to videos of it..
That is a slick rig, I used a 65ft loft and she would sway real bad! I rather be on the picks. But I can see the advantages. Keep on with the vids Sam. I always enjoy them. Congratulations Vbelt stay safe!
You saw my Genie 60/34 Z Boom at the ranch and I can tell you first hand that 60 ft in the bucket is a thrill/unnerving 😳. They are a game changer but you have to have the testicular fortitude to learn how to run it, nothing natural about it. Thanks for sharing Sam👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻🇺🇸
A place i worked at back in the 90's had rough terrain 4wd , 4 wheel steering with huge outriggers scissor lift that went up 6 storeys propane powered always 2 tanks full at the start of the day , it was rated for 4 workers and tools, if memory serves me right 8/900 lbs, so 2 men and equipment or 2 trips up , it was amazing how stable it was up there sometimes working on the sides of buildings or going up to roof top never been up 72 ft high in a lift, a ladder yes, if you ever drove that scissor lift on soft ground or muddy area and got stuck, oh man, call the recovery truck or lots of times there were loaders on the job sites and they could pull it out, looking forward to seeing this in future videos 👍
Congratulations! Happy for you . Nice addition to your array of quality equipment for your company. Remember if you do something stupid they will put a monument up for you . Lightning, power lines & dead tree Limbs can get you . Look froward to the up coming videos.
Sam riding a spider. Sure should be a lot safer for VBelt. Tools no longer dangling to catch and pull you down is a huge advantage. Can load it by backing under it. And I see a huge bungee cord sometime in the future. The man lifts we used at test sites went up about 40 to 50 feet to work on Vertical Launch Tubes from Submarines we used for special missile launch tests.
I use several JLG mobile lifts at work the scariest are the 160' and the 210' lifts. You can sneeze in them and it will sway several feet in all directions in no wind, much less on a windy day. Really takes some time to build your nerve to feel comfortable in them. Anything below the 160' is really comfortable to me but above that the pucker factor gets tighter the higher you go.
Just watch around the power lines you will get residual voltage that will jump and get you. I had a geni loft to repair tower light along the highway. It was a 300 foot reach.
Fuck that, I've had to use a gradall lift and it is sketchy AF, at full extention the rear wheels come off the ground, it has the hydraulic supports too and it still doesn't help, it's on perfectly level ground too😂
You should probably get the old man a safety harness. I used to use the 4x4 lifts like that on commercial jobs building buildings we weren't allowed to use them unless we were wearing a harness. They could get a little jerky sometimes.
Yep used one similar a few times last job was pruning a big pine hedge I towed it to site with a Toyota Kruger ☺️ she loved it 😝 they are something you have to get use to, get your sea legs I say 😉
Beam me up Scotty! That'll be a heck of a lot easier on hoss than a set of gaffs that's for damn sure and he can take all the mess up with him even his nose bag! Actually the more I think about it, that's one hell of a shade finding nap platform..........🤔 lmao
Heck I have a tree that really needs to come down but it has to be brought down in sections so that it doesn't fall on the back of my house. PGE has been cutting it away from the power lines that it's leaning towards the house. Let me know if you want to make a video and how much to remove the tree...👍 Also PGE said they wouldn't cut it down for me. So I filed and revoke their easement path down my property line
Advice on the lift, get out your threadlocker and do up All of the C Pivot retainers especially on the legs. Do not expand or retract the undercarriage unless up in the air, could blow an o-ring. keep covered in rain and try not to work it in the rain.
I used to have a 75 foot track lift almost exactly like that, but it flipped over when we were moving it from one tree to another. Track found a soft spot in the dirt and flipped. The motor ran away, broke the bucket, and bent the booms. Completely totaled! Biggest thing I’ve learned from running one of these machines is they aren’t as “off road” as you would think. Hope all is good and stay safe out there👍🏻
@@VBELTandSON Apologies, I meant speed of platform moving around compared to a standard towable, do you think it’s faster? I’ve been looking for a month about ready to buy just looking to see if you all like and recommend it. Appreciate your input Sir
Rig up some launch tubes around the basket, set off fireworks from all the way up. Sketch Factor: mebbe 6. It'll be fine! Get a 360 degree vr camera and take it up all the way!
Hey were are you guys located i own a small tree company you can say a baby rig but if you guys see this hit me back up i it be nice to get some work with you guy's
I'm a retired construction worker and I've been in a bazillion different lifts. I hate them all. lol You could rig a chain saw on the basket with a camera and cut stuff remotely from the ground. I'm not afraid to go high in a lift but I refuse to go to their limits. If I need to go 72 feet, then I need a 100 foot lift ;) United Rentals tried to sell us a 270 foot lift. I told them I wouldn't even work for a company that needed such a thing. It could reach out 120 feet with the main boom level with the ground and then go up 150 feet. Hard pass.
Now that's one heck of a deer stand lol 🤣
Until you get a ticket for hunting from a motor vehicle

Used a 90’ version of that lift in a building to install lighting - they’re crazy machines! Pretty cool to go up in

Congrats v-belt you deserve it brother always wear 4point harness, you'll b fine. 31 year utility guy still kicking 👍🏻🇺🇸
That’s awesome sure beats climbing and possible falling. Keep up the good work and stay safe out there
Late birthday present. Always good to have proper tools and equipment.
Nice I would love to have one of those! Good Job V-Belt!! Be safe and enjoy.

Global is awesome!!! Sweet addition to the stable.
I’ve used scissor lift and swing lifts but never used a track lift or been that high up. I can’t wait to see it in action.

Wow! I would love to have one of these! 72 feet, whoofta! I had a 60 foot and I hated it up there!
I’d love to see some videos of that in action to see how quick the boom responds looking to get the sa,e machine for our painting business
I've been in JLG 120 for a week. It's a lot of reach! I never did get comfortable being that far out
Looking forward to more videos have been using a 35’ workforce lift i need a higher reaching lift to do the work i do thanks for the vids

Awesome!!! What is the leg spread measurement?
My first truck for trimming trees was a GTE ladder truck, was very sketchy and only went out about 30 feet
Been on plenty of scissor lifts, but never 72 ft. 🙀. That one is fancy. 👍🏻 Stay away from those power lines bro. Holy smoke 🙀🙀🙀🙀🙀
The END!! Lol great job guys!
Yep used one similar a few times last job was pruning a big pine hedge I towed it to site with a Toyota Kruger ☺️ she loved it 😝 they are something you have to get use to, get your sea legs I say 😉
I work off those things pretty often pucker factor gets pretty high sometimes

Very cool 😎. How much ballpark?
Sam I've been in the tree care industry I've been in a seventy foot bucket truck and that backyard lift is a lot more stable then a bucket truck
Thanks for sharing cool 👍
I ran the 105’ version in nc

“Congratulations Hoss you don’t have to climb a tree anymore now you can ride this sketchy stick” lol
That’s an expensive drone replacement!!! LOL!!!
AWESOME !
Your leg will fill it from balancing go a little at a time a first if you can they will move when working
I an 60,80, 120 foot manlifts
Pretty cool!
How fast does it get around in a tree? Increase productivity? Do you recommend it?
Compared to a climber? A climber doesn’t even come close to comparing in speed or productivity

Appreciate your input Sir
What did that 72-foot hi-hi Razor cost you thank you for letting me know
Darwin Luker I have the 83’ at work cost 110k new
I would love to have one for my tree business but 100 k for a new one no way i could swing the payments on that one

Don't think it was up all the way! I don't think the job was extended.
Spell check, Ment to say Jib
Be careful with those and trees my boss rented one and a limb fell and broke a hydro line and also bent a cilinder
I could see where that could be handier that a pocket on a shirt for a manlift.
Very nice. Hell ya.
Taking you Business to new Heights in productivity & efficiency !
Needs a bigger turbo 🤙🏼
Bungee jumping business....🤔😬👍🏻
I think it gonna to help you out about cutting tree back away from houses

Where's your fall protection?? Kids!!
Wrapped around my foot duh!!
@@VBELTandSON Well that's better than your neck! LoL
You're going to want to get mats for the outrigger's. So they don't sink in on soft ground. God people
Ok bring that thing over tomorrow morning so I don’t have to climb this pine tree. Thanks
Hell yeah can't wait to see it in action
Get a safety harness
