To say this show was awesome would not give it the credit it deserves. There is so much talent here I'm afraid my screen is about to explode! Many many thanks.
Adored Pippin ..had tickets to the first national tour playing in LA that I arranged months in advance with my best friend from high school who was coming back to visit, when I found out my job required me to take inventory that night. I told them I was going to see Pippin...they fired me for about two hours and hired me back. Listened to the album for months before I got to go...fabulous show..so glad you all made it happen! Got to sing some music from it in choir ...I still get chills from Magic To Do, and Corner of the Sky! And just that snippet from the cast album made me tear up..so wonderful Stephen Schwartz!
Some of my favorite people in the world and one of the best professional times of my life playing Grandma Berthe in the National Tour (and on Broadway) in the Chet Walker, Gypsy Snyder Circus version of PIPPIN with John R. and got to hang high in the air in a dance trapeze number with no wires and no nets. May be the coolest experience of my career so far. I miss that show. (LUCIE ARNAZ)
I was introduced to PIPPIN in my senior high school health class (imagine that - 40 years ago) as part of the lesson on aging. The song our teacher played was “No Time At All” and I was snagged, and remain enamored until this day with the show. I never can get through this song without tearing up. Working with high school student actors for 34 years, well you know, they are always teens and you age and it makes me feel young all over to watch their skills progress over 4 years. Great memories created. I wish someone from this original show would comment about Irene Ryan. I find her rendition the most poignant of any I have heard. Thanks.
What a terrific episode of STIH! So much talent on display. And Stephen Schwartz, you are a musical genius. Thank you for all your creative contributions over the years.
I got to meet Mr. Schwartz at "Hunchback" and Mr. Rubinstein at the stage door of Pippin tour, when Christine Ebersole paid a visit...both were so very nice.
The very FIRST Musical Theatre audition I ever did, I decided to use a song from "Pippin" to audtion with, so I prepared 16 bars of "Extraordinary"...have a love for the show completely and it is fun AND thoughtful. Glad to see this! (Also got to see John Rubinstein as Tateh in 'Ragtime' too)
When I first saw Pippin at my local theatre, I was excited because they dressed in Steampunk costumes and then I was slightly disappointed to learn that Pippin is actually more circus themed. However, I've realized that both are great. I love Pippin.
The best video on TH-cam hands down. Thanks for bringing everyone together to discuss my favorite musical of all time.

Was that *the* greatest musical mini-medley of all time? #GOAT
I've been trying to catch up on SITH. How inspiring this video is. The stories are just beautiful. Thank you.

I was blessed to see Michael Rupert in Baltimore at the old Morris Mechanic Theatre at the age of 13. 🌞💚💜💙

I had such a crush on John Rubinstein back in the day ... jew-fro and all! 🤗
