    So I've recently come into contact with your videos. While I don't fully agree with all the rankings you give some mechs, your data, understanding and Tabletop focus make things very sound.
    What gets me is your avatar, it's such a squishy little thing that is rather cute while talking about war machines and jamming out to heavy metal that includes the line "I feel the vibrations!" and i am like 'i'm sure you do you squishy little dude you'
    Anyway keep up the good work and I am looking forward to your eventual medium and assault mech tier lists

    You should add Flechs sheets. Fully self contained interactive mech sheets you can use on any tablet. revolutionized how my group plays classic.

    A solid list of freebies. Those RATs are my favorite resource that I look at way too often.
    My #6 would be Mech Factory and it's associated app. Signing up is free and it's very easy to quickly work out a custom mech or vehicle idea. Also, it has easy access to printable record sheets and a very useful, searchable database for when you need a mech with a certain BV, in a certain era, to fill out a lance.

    • @nerdyOveranalyzed
      @nerdyOveranalyzed  ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Thank you for producing a video that jumps straight to the point (instead of wasting a bunch of time with a pre-intro bit, then an overproduced intro, then a sponsor plug, then a request to subscribe, then a pre-content bit before getting to the actual content), as well as for dispensing all of the information in a direct manner.

    Another note on the value Alpha Strike players get out of hex maps beyond just playing Classic is that Alpha Strike has rules for play on hex maps and they go pretty smoothly. I play on one of the neoprene battlemats which are the size of 2 mapsheets and double sided. Super fun time.

Just finishing up the mini campaign, where my 9 year old twins have driven me back to the last mission , Who would thought a GRF-1N would have headshot my AWS-8Q on turn 3, opening up huge hole in my line 😭 and plans

    I've been playing BT for 30 years, and the thing that completely changed my experience was ditching hexes and getting a couple of tape measures. In my opinion, it's so much more liberating and enjoyable. It does take some resources, but I highly recommend it.

    I recommend for new players or players that are on a budget to cut out paper hexagons that are about an inch wide. These can be used as proxies for miniatures that you don’t have. just write what unit it’s supposed to be on the paper with an arrow facing towards the front. Always remember the most important thing is the record sheet. Miniatures come second.

    Sarna and MM/MML should be the top two. Another free resource is Flechs Sheets. It might not be as useful for tabletop play but it can perform certain tasks admirably, such as keeping track of damage.

    • @moustacherie7042
      @moustacherie7042 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@nerdyOveranalyzed Flechs is an immensely powerful tool, as long as you're playing with standard AGoAC rules. Some special equipment rules aren't properly coded and you'll need to keep track of them out of game, but for a standard pickup slugfest, it's really one of the best tools out there.
