I love how neat it looks! Seems like it takes some time to wrap each loc though. Thank you for sharing your method and thank you for introducing to a product I can use on my locs.
Interesting technique! Thanks for sharing! This seems like a really good method for hair that grows outside the loc. I would definitely try this!👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾🥰🥰🥰🥰
Thank you for sharing I think I like to try it on my diy retwist. I do a soft twist on my hair the wrapping paper can help hold my locs together. His locs are beautiful 😍by the way where will I buy wrapping paper TX
Thank you! Here is a link to the wrapping paper used in the video: Wrapp-it Styling Strips for Natural Hair Wrap and Molded Styles by Graham Beauty (40 Strips) a.co/d/b68q1rh They also have some options even cheaper at your local beauty supply store!
Talking to an old school loctician, she stated that twisting to the left would keep the loc as thick as possible for a longer period of time because you are twisting the hair against its normal growth pattern. Because the hair isn’t able to curl the way it wants to, it in turn will not “thin” and keep its volume. Retwisting to the right which is most popular goes with most people’s natural curl pattern. This way will give you the smoothest finish because the hair wants to curl in it’s natural direction. However, overtime locs can thin and can eventually snap because of the decrease In thickness or volume of the base and additional weight from the length of locs. His locs were started to the left which is why I twisted to the left in this video however, as of recently he stated that he wanted to decrease his loc thickness so his locs have been retwisted to the right and they have gotten smaller.
This retwist was good but I liked them before because they were thicker.

I like the Before Look Better
Do you have any tips on how to get hair to lock quicker? Specifically looser curl patterns. I started with 2 strand twists if that info helps any :)
What if you alternate between twisting to the right and left?
I wonder why locs do this ? They look flat until I palm roll/ retwist. Good Job!
Thank you!

Twist to the left? It’s supposed to be to the right

Is paper wrap impo?
For this tutorial I would say yes as it helps to smooth any loose hairs on the loc.
Wow
