I put the coffee on the table, but I bumped it and went all over my camera. Once I dried out the camera, it is working 100% Thank you!

What was wrong with your screen? Was it the Mark III as well? Mine has a purple brightness scale and whenever that light-gray matches the color on the LCD screen, it is visible on the pictures; this only happens on the LCD of the camera but not the picture itself or external LCD plugged into the mini HDMI port. Let me know what was your issue. Mine is clearly not a physical damage, could also be an imaging error from the mainboard but that would be worst case, I'm hoping that is not the case and I only need to replace the LCD that I assume has gone bad lol. Let me tell you that the LCD itself works as long as that bright scale is not affected.

Thanks bro did this on my Mark IV, same screw layout and easier to change screen once open! £350 quote from Canon, paid £95 for genuine LCD 🙏🎉

Hi My multi button controller on my Mark III is poped out but the rubber casket is intact and still in place ...I will need to open the back to access the place to pop it back in. Is it easy to access? thanks so much

Question, do remove the whole LCD screen or when you pull it off does a glass screen remain on the back cover?

was it a genuine screen or one of the ones you can buy from China for cheaper?

Great video, question: How about the rubber grip things on the outer body, how can you detach them and reattach them after you're done?

i just puled it off and then it stuck back on and has stayed there since, its basically double sided sticky take that holds it on so you could do that if you have trouble

great video. easy to understand. (*note to haters - fyi... if he's going too fast, you can rewind the video as many times as you like...wink!) Question: My 5D MARK 3 screen "blacked out" for god-knows what reason (i shoot alllllllot!) and want to use your vid to fix it instead of paying $400+ and pray it works! Yikes! WHAT'S THE EXACT MODEL NAME/NUMBER (sorry for shouting) so I can order one and WHERE DID YOU ORDER YOURS FROM (again, sorry for shouting. just want you to read these first). thx and again great video! DO MORE!!!! All the best, Pete

Nice vid. My wife just dropped her mk3 today and the LCD itself cracked on the inside. The glass is just fine but you can't see jack. How is your replacement holding up? And where did you get it? Googling brings up a ton of different options from $20-$50+
Thanks again for the great vid. Super helpful.

Did you end up replacing the screen? I opened up my 5D Mark IV because I have a very odd issue with this just check the ribbon cables, I removed them and cleaned the contacts with isopropyl alcohol. I reconnected everything and unfortunately issue still persists, it is a purple tint that affects a certain brightness setting that just appeared out of no where. This purple tint would usually go away after turning the camera off and then on but now it has stayed for good lol. I'm sad that this happened, at least I know that the picture quality is not affected, major drawback is the image preview as it becomes more prominent as the brightness where the light-gray is matched.

@@scientist100 yes I did. I found a replacement screen on eBay and it was over in a few minutes. no more issues.

It's a shame that you did not film this with the camera above your hand you ruin your film with putting it near your hand otherwise it would have been a good video I need you to be a bit more slower
