I was there and worked with Max on the last two tracks (Aleph 2 and Transcendental Tree Map, the latter with Nick Cobby). The entire performance was a spectacular collection of mind-bending ideas and visuals. Being literally surrounded by the videos (8 projection surfaces) made you feel like you were inside the music and inside Max's head. It's a dizzying place and I'd love to visit again.
Dear Max Cooper, I will forever remember your performance at "Nuit des Docks" in Marseille back in 2014 I think. I was totally sober, got robbed 2 times trying to buy drugs, and thought that this party was going to hell !!!^^ Then you came up on scene right after Nina's Kravitz set (if I am not mistaken), and I decided to surrender myself to your performance After this day I've been on a never-ending hunt to find a track that completely blew my mind. Then after 1 week, 1 month, I can't remember I finally found it : Nick Warren - Devil's Elbow - Max Cooper Remix Hand's down the most beautiful and out of this world electronic track !
Amazing. I'll never forget when I first stumbled across Max's music. It was at the beginning of the pandemic and me and my family were quarantining separately, I was alone and pissed drunk on some of the best wine I had because nobody knew what was coming next and I wasn't going to let that juice go to waste in what seemed like an impending apocalypse. I was listening to music on my TV at random on youtube late that night and his track Order from Chaos plays and then I just went down the rabbit hole, listening to his entire catalog; amazed. The music videos had me just as stupefied as the music. Keep it up and come to Texas!
How lucky are we to have institutions like the Barbican and extremely talented musicians like Max Cooper coming together! We really are spoiled. The show was outstanding! ✨
...How lucky I am to have discovered Max Cooper and this amazing video performance today! So grateful these institutions exist and can be experienced so far away.

Fantastic! The only thing I don't like, being a musician, graphics artist and motion designer is to see where I rank - this makes me humble and realize that I am a caveman watching fire for the very first time. Thank you Max!
I like this: "I am a caveman watching 🔥 for the first time". I would like to use this metaphor in future references to self. However, rather than view oneself according to rank, I encourage you to view your work as a unique expression of self like no other caveman to come before nor after you.

Can never get enough of this, you along the artists you work with are some of the most astonishing artists of our generation. amazing work and thank you for blessing us with it
Saw this live at Paradise City festval last weekend. Seriously one of the best electronic live music sets I've ever witnessed. The music combined with the visuals make for an amazing immersive experience.
Dude!!!!!! I would have given anything to be there....wow what an epic venue...you are in one of the greatest electronic music producers ever!!!!! The music, the noise, the sounds....no on can do it better than you! Musical genius!!!
I recently visited Cambridge to see Melt Banana live, it was in some awful pub, room full of rockers, I didn't even go in, this was a week ago now, next week on the 20th April, Max is playing Cambridge at Junction 1, I am so tempted, but I am still also very wary of large crowds in enclosed spaces, due to the pandemic, its made me very apprehensive about this sort of thing now. Will I go? maybe not, but at least I can enjoy a live show (almost) from the comfort of my own home, and this performance is perfect for a late night Friday session 😃
This was an unforgettable experience. It ranks right in the top tier of gigs I've been too - an absolutely amazing experience and the Barbican was the perfect setting. Thanks for uploading the night!
To think this was just days before lockdown, and performances like this may not happen for years, ... so glad it's here on video; the work of genius'...
What an experience. The addition of the images builds a bridge between the music and our physical sensations. They complete the music, to form a universe of its own
this looks and sounds incredible. I love the way Max Cooper uses music not just to explore sounds but to explore ideas, and infuse his music with practical applications of the ideas. wish i was there to see this
@@Scientificmethods is there? The lines are closer than they used to be. Has he not composed this music as well as having produced it? The dude is wrong anyway, Max Cooper is incredible but he is 100% not the greatest composer of our time. Top 10 possibly.

Cause I hear so many of the same effects and use of them from this guy. Sounds like a mix of atoms for peace radio head and one of York’s brain fart tracks. I want a chaos pad too.

Any reason why the transition is so ugh between 11:25 - 11:35? Repetition is one of my favorite songs but the way it goes from one to another just hurts
You have truly inspired a retired vj whos self isolating to breakout 2 projectors and laptops to learn how to projection map with resolume and all my old clips..(maybe include some new gas mask ones..lol!!)..awesome stuff..thanks for uploading😉🤗
thanks for your sound i love what you create, it would be great if one day your sound mixed with tekno i don't know why every so often i think this anyway thanks and again🔥🔥♥️
