    😁: When your new buggy climbs steep obstacles at idle in low range.
    The fact that you build these in your shed with limited machines/tools says alot. I really enjoy following along and watching the build. Great work, Chris.

  • @robibolli3286
    @robibolli3286 3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

    Love the build, here’s some advice:
    1. Motorcycle sport bike engines are designed to rev extremely high, their powerband is in the 8,000 RPM+ range. They have like 300 degree + duration cams so below 7,000 they barely produce any power. If needed you can change your gear ratios to compensate for the high revving nature of these engines.
    2. Having issues with the transmission slipping out of gear can be helped by using non-synthetic oil (synthetic is more slippery) and if that does not help then take a look at the shift star and spring. They are relatively easy to get to and replace; slipping out of gear means a worn shift star or spring. If you replace both and still have issues using a stronger spring will help it stay in gear.
    Best of luck!

    It has really been a joy watching you progress over time and become better and better. I love it that you aren't embarrassed to admit your mistakes, and what you learned from them. In my opinion, that is the best part of watching your channel. This machine is the culmination of countless hours of R&D on your part, and it's awesome. Just needs a few tweaks to be really great. Keep it up, and never let anyone's criticism discourage you.

    • @DetroitMicroSound
      @DetroitMicroSound 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@gb1613 kinda, yup, depending on the type of snow. True. Best practice would be to carry both on your trailer, in case the sand isn't great loose stuff, and you need a more multi-purpose tire. Here in Michigan all kinds of environments are mixed together. we have awesome dunes, sandy beaches, etc, but all of it is surrounded by pine forrest with rock hard (full of clay, because of the last ice age) ground, groomed trails, two-tracks, muddy stuff, big rocky stuff...... snow, solid ice...... humid black mud stinky tar-pit type type swamps....

    Really good job that took a pretty good beating out there and it held up amazingly well the only thing I saw that might become a problem is the rear chain drive. Those chains are out there in the open I think they need to have guards put on them just in case and if you do put them on they should be made pretty substantial so that you don't have them into the chains you are trying to protect.

    Hey Chris, this is a testament to how well you build. Just hearing the laugh after the first stop says it all. Ya need a helmet bud to protect the money maker, a stick or rock flying up into the face isn't gonna tickle. So cool to see a build that is everything a guy would want to own... i woke up early in Oz and went on a scenic cruise with ya.
    Cheers for the builds, stay well.

Don’t worry about jumps etc, they can handle it. Talk with KING and do your research. Weigh the car and let them know each corner weight. Buy the shims and do a video on valving the shocks. They will float and take BIG jumps all the same, you paid for that ability bud. Get a box of shims, take it out, ride it, and do the changes at your truck. (Just the rears) Bring a nitrogen tank and oil :)
