you can only sell in your shop or in the Pawn Shop, the military guys is to identify rare or other items you cant, same for the pizza oven an painting you found, get it to the experts to get the value for them. Also when you go for the auction, and when you are inside the storage the left corner of the screen show you how much you paid and how much the locker is worth when you start to identify the items. Great game, hope you can record more :)
You don't even get the ability to buy the pawnshop until you get to level 10 in the town. Once you're level 10 there, you just go to the pawnshop and buy it. If I recall correctly, it costs $2,000 to buy, but then you can bump your prices 10%-20% over what the value is. How fast you can sell depends on how high you price things. Most upgrades in the game seem to pay for themselves quick. The fix tool level one probably boosted your sales by over $100 already.
When you're scanning items and instant selling trash, on the left side of the screen it keeps track of the value in each storage unit. On one you thought you wouldn't get your money back, you actually made about $170
Love this vid! Looked up "Umebushi".... that's a $4500 vehicle with 90% of the truckboed of an F-150.. "Payload" of !,500 lbs... how many people's lives would be totally turned around if they could get reliable wheels - much less a real workhorse - for that?

The renown is in the upper left. You were only level 4 after the 2 auctions. So before ya can buy, you need that to be a 10.

The only gripe I have about game design like this. A LOT of downtime vs playtime. Waiting on things like opening the chest, etc.
