I don't laugh out loud at TH-cam comments often, but that one made me legitimately LOL. Yes, an11,000 year wait list that you can only bypass if you are Roger Federer, Tiger Woods, or an Arab oil sheikh.
Just ordered it from my AD. He said it was a five year wait list and that he would add me to it. He then started giggling and typing in mid air, saying "just adding you now sir".
It's a totally new watch, no wait list as such and I can't see it being in high demand. Stick your name down and it could be yours in 6 months. But to you really want a 50mm diameter 20mm thick watch.
Finally a watch that can keep-up with the activities of the "Everyday Person's". I can't even recall how many times I've been diving in the Mariana Trench, thinking to myself "If I only had a watch with 11000 meters Water Resistance, I could totally dive to the bottom and still return to the surface alive"...
and only wearing it around the house with the stickers still on. yet like a vegetarian, they’ll work their ownership into the first three minutes conversation.
The bulkiness of this watch is one thing, the insane long waiting list for new Rolex along with the crazy secondary market deter almost everyone from buying one. There are so many great alternatives nowadays to choose from, not to mention microbrands.
@@samuelburton5576 Boy you made me laugh... I decided to put my money on other brands that show respect for costumers. If people stop buying Rolex watches at exorbitant prices from resellers, they will become available at Authorized Dealers at retail prices. But as long as people are willing to shell out 2x or 3x for current models, the grey market will continue to hike up the prices.
There needs to be some heft and thickness to counter the pressures of water. Obtainability is the real problem, which is odd as Rolex manufacture over a million watches each year. Their scale of production seems quite opposite to the availability figures of various models which by and large are over priced tool watches.
11,000m. That is so insane. I want to own this watch just for the absurdity of the numbers on the dial. I wonder if this means Rolex will now make a titanium sea-dweller? And maybe even a submariner eventually? That would be so cool.
Very excited to have my name on another true remarkable wait list, destined to last years, sitting in precious exclusive metal foundry of Rolex. The new Deep Sea Challenge Waitlist.
I wondered for a second if this video was some sort of SNL parody. And as an aside if you were ever able to get down to 11,000m wearing this watch, I’m pretty sure you’d die. But the watch would be just fine.
Can't wait to get told by an AD worker that in order to buy one I'll need to spend 50k on random pieces of jewelry first before I can have access to this Rolex watch.
finally, me and my buddy eric were planning to do a quick dive to the mariana trench but i couldn't since i can't check the time there, well, now i can thank you
So what has more pressure; the depth rating of this watch, or the purchase history requirements placed on customers by Rolex ADs, to actually buy a watch at retail prices?
Rolex is brave to let people comment on their videos. I guess it doesn't matter as they will sell out regardless to make some grey market sellers richer.
Given that the case dimensions are 50 mm in diameter and 23 mm in height, this would be a great watch to buy....if you had the wrist size of The Incredible Hulk. I am sure Aquaman could also find some use for it as he goes on a leisurely little swim through the Mariana Trench. I know Rolex prides itself on its exclusivity, but making the watch so exclusive that only superheroes are large enough to wear it, or can swim somewhere to make use of it, is ridiculous 😁
Wish it had the original Deep Sea Face. All black is cool but the the Deep Sea original face looked so much better, especially cause what it represented.
So Rolex should flood the market to make everyone happy and able to get one. To make Rolex a cheap brand. I don't think so. I don't agree at all. Luxury watch brands should not over produce, never!!!
I don't disagree, the demand vs supply issue creates people to do stupid things and pay over retail. I won't pay over retail for a watch but I understand the market forces and some people dying to own one will lose their mind
Now we need to find a diver who needs such a watch for that price. Why would a diver need a watch with only three hands? or more precisely, with such functions - without a stopwatch and countdown.?
Finally! I cant wait to spend 20k buying stuff i dont want from the AD so I can be put on a waitlist and maybe be allowed to buy this watch in 10 years 😂
I love Rolex and this watch is amazing. This is such a special and unique watch I wish they would have done something simple like make the box a green Pelican case to set a one of a kind feel for it.
They made literally the deepest watch ever conceived, over TWICE the depth rating of the Omega, and Omega still did it better? Rolex could cure cancer and y’all would still be butt hurt that you can’t buy a sub at retail 😂
@@TheRausing1 Rolex can’t cure their own attitude, let alone cancer. And the world record holder is the H2O Kalmar with 25000 m depth rating for around 1.5k.
Yeah. What's the point of wetting the appetite of those who'll get nothing more than a rude snub? A watch that's good for a mere 110 meters but readily accessible at a tenth of the price would be a much better option.
Finally, a titanium diver. It would be nice if Rolex would let people buy one.
😂
No Rolex for you!
Lol..😂🤣
Don’t fret, you’ll be able to pay 2x retail for it….

of course avaible on chrono24 whith 300% retail price

not buying another rolex until I can go into an AD with cash in hand and walk out with a new watch.
I guess you're not buying any luxury watches because all the desirable brands have waiting list. Part of the game so stop whining!!!
Looking forward to waiting 3 years and wearing this at my desk.
good luck, I doubt it though...
Yeah, and I bet that you'll freak out getting caught in the rain. 🌧️🌧️🌧️
Haha. I get it. Like I own a world class road racing bicycle.
Finally a watch for the Invicta lovers like myself!
I'm going to get one of these for my very next visit to the Mariana Trench.
Nice one😀...before you go to Mariana, go to the gym and bench press 250kg as Deepsea Challenge is only for very big wrists.
And yet there will be some owner who is afraid to take it into the shower. 😅

fill a $20 casio watch with siliconoil and it will be waterproof at 11000meter depth in water aswell and working.
