Bless you Gerry Conlon ❤ RIP ❤ When you mentioned that you wanted to be someone "You were somebody - an inspiration - a wonderful human being" You spoke from the heart, you gave us the truth - that goes above and beyond not to mention, never forgotten. You were wronged in such a disgusting manner, there simply are not words to describe the way in which you were made to suffer. I'm English to the core and feel somewhat embarrassed to be British, learning of the corruption and the way the Police handled this. They should be strung up and indeed held to justice! Thankyou for educating those of us whom want to understand and to Troubled Land for posting these documentaries. As much as they are interesting, I have to say that they leave me choked as I watch them. I feel your pain and if there is one thing that I can hope for, it is that Gerry and many others are at peace now and flourish in the afterlife.
Thank you for sharing this. It was absolutely horrendous what has happened to these innocent people. The police has alot to answer for. But unfortunately that won't happen💔
My uncle (Protestant) spent ten years in prison for something he didn't do. He was tortured by two ruc detectives. He wasn't released until the good Friday agreement. After he was out, he fought to clear his name and won. The detectives were arrested
@@nreddington1857Because at the time she was Paddy Armstrong- one of the fours- girlfriend . During that time the IRA did have women in their ranks, so the British police put two and two together, wrongly, and thought she was part of an IRA unit along with her boyfriend . Tragic what happened to them
He's so right about still being 20 in yer head, I served years in prison and when I got out, I fully expected everything and everyone to be the same, but most of my pals had married had children and I just wanted to go out and party, ok I did wrong but prison served no purpose, but these fellas and young woman were innocent that was the difference. Life's wasted for bugger all .
The judge in the Guildford 4 / Maguire 7 admits his regret that he could not charge them all with treason against the Crown during the trial. A conviction to a single count of treason does carry, at the time, a sentence of death via hanging. A sentence that a judge would have no great difficulty of passing onto.
Bit of a giveaway there was a bit more to the story than people were told... As the lives of others quote, even if nothing is black and white and always 2 bigger sides to a story, even a poor attempt at paraphrasing loosely speaking says, it's never the innocent that scream for help...
Omg that was hard to watch they broke Carole ,and to hear Gerry talk about his dad made me sad. God bless.them all
I am a English person through and through but the police who convicted them should be held to justice
The police and media just wanted anyone irish so they could please the English public and the world there job is done

I was all in favour of Capital punishment before this case and the Birmingham six. Now I know it could never be reinstated. 🤔
God bless Giuseppe conlon. R.i.p
400 to 500 hundred thousand pounds for 15 years in jail when you didn’t do any thing is a joke they should’ve got millions

What about Gerald's father? His father was threatened if his son did not sign a confession letter of being involved in the IRA.

I feel so bad for carol richardson drugged up on meds only 17 when she went to prison her whole youth taken away from her by corrupt brittish justice.
Did she seriously just blame the IRA right at the end there because of what happened to the Guilford 4!? 🤣

That darn judge should be made to apologise publicly .
THE MOST HEINOUS CRIME ….TO JAIL A INNOCENT MAN😢
Gerry really loved his parents
Why weren't they released the following day
Shocking.......How could this happen ?
Thank Granada's World in Action for their release even though they were interested in the Birmingham 6.
And First Tuesday, according to Gerry Conlon
It is still going on sadly
Hey, this is my immediate family - would love to chat?
Send me an email - ATroubledLand@Proton.me
I'd like to chat 😇
Horrific fit up!
Carole looked zombified.
She was a pretty girl but what a tragic story
Sad
Bit strange people kept asking for justice for these families?
