Rachel transformed the role of Catherine by way she portrayed the character of being a part of the "plot" to keep Pippin moving toward the finale to falling in love with him. The comedy she brought to the role was also transforming. Her performance of the throwaway song "I Guess I'll the Man" (2 min. long) was funny and highlighted her mutiny against the plot, which is an important element for the Finale. Brava!
TO EVERYONE WATCHING THIS VIDEO NOW: This woman is INCREDIBLE in Dear Evan Hansen. I've seen the show 6 times (5 in DC, 1 in NY) and she has brought me to tears each time. Ya'll better watch out for her!!
I saw Rachel back in March and i told her at the stage door as she was signing my playbill "You remind me why I loved my mom so much" and she said that was the best compliment and I almost died right then and there 😭😍
I fully believed the skip-over from Guys and Dolls was going to be My Time of Day. I played Sarah when I was in my last year at school and I was even bored on stage in that song.
Put me in the "More I Cannot Wish You" camp--love it, and it's perfect in the show, when done well. One song that's been mostly a skip-over for me is the obnoxious one in IT'S A BIRD, IT'S A PLANE, IT'S...SUPERMAN!, where the girls sing something like, "It's super fun, to be with you," etc., to Superman. Another was "This Was A Real Nice Clambake," from CAROUSEL--never could believe that Rodgers & Hammerstein had written that (though that Lincoln Center concert version last year actually made somewhat of a case for it, shockingly). A more recent one is John Lithgow's soft-shoe number from SWEET SMELL OF SUCCESS, "Don't Look Now"--a shame.
Aaron Ford I actually agree, Seth did a version with Sierra Boggess I really enjoyed. It could be such a damn sexy song but most women don't take it there.
Ok, so someone PLEASE do Little Shop of Horrors with Rachel Bay Jones as Audrey. She's a fantastic actress with a phenomenal voice.

Her speaking voice is so meek and then she sings and boom!!! ❤️
And now she's a TONY WINNER. I love her
Saw her in Pippin last week and she was phenomenal, absolutely enchanting and hilarious.
Rachel is basically the Lisa Kudrow of Broadway
Z Lo meaning...?

Ordinary woman is my go to tune!!!!
Love you Rachel!
YES! Rachel is so fierce!
and now she has a Tony! ❤😍
Even though I did not like Dear Evan Hansen that much, I leaped for joy when she won the Tony. 110% deserving.

Are you effing kidding me? More I cannot wish you is the best!!!!!!!!
That beautiful song from guys and dolls... shame on you Seth
I always skip "If I were a bell" call me crazy but I just can't stand most women's interpretations of it
Aaron Ford I actually agree, Seth did a version with Sierra Boggess I really enjoyed. It could be such a damn sexy song but most women don't take it there.
Listen to Ernestine Jackson from the all-Black cast! THAT is how the song should be sung!
@@booksandbirbs I mean she’s drunk she’s not really supposed to be sexy
What? Skip over "More I Cannot Wish You"?
That's wrong.
