Super star Cory … the real TH-cam star. lol. So Cory what’s it mean when you put pollen Pattie’s in a hive and the bees remove it and don’t use it? Thanks for the video Ashby.
Enjoyed seeing how a state inspection was done. I had visions of them being intimidating. Now I see they are not. In what region of NC is your farm located? Thanks.
Not to my knowledge. It’s not common at all. Almost always they burn the equipment right there on the spot. They want it irraticated immediately when it does pop up.
🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🤝🤝🤝🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🐝🐝🐝✌✌✌
We have the best apiary inspectors in NC. Don is such a great resource-I have learned so much from him when he attends our field days in Chatham!
He is such a Gem to the beekeepers of NC! So much appreciation!!!
So relaxing to sit and watch him work through them boxes just nice and slow and easy. Love it.
Right! I wish I had that kind of time!
Loved talking to Don Hopkins at the NC State Fair. He's such a nice guy, and so knowledgeable. Shirley Harris is wonderful too.
Absolutely!!! I love them both!
Hello again from waxhaw. It was nice to see Don doing his thing. Thank you for the informative video.
Thanks for watching!
Hey hey Don Hopkins! Good education Ashby.
Thank you!

lol I’ll let her know. Removed it and didn’t use it???? Never heard of it. Something spoiled?
Great explanation of the state inspection process
Glad it was helpful!
Thanks for sharing. Great info.

We’re right in the middle of the state. Central Piedmont
Great. That means I’m in the same region and can better apply your knowledge and techniques for my startup hives. Thanks.
What was the jacket the bee inspector was wearing I wonder? Never seen that style
They don’t make them anymore.
Heck yea! I will say though your bees are definitely gentle! 😜
A little sweeter than those Texas ones for sure!!! Lol
Any particular reason why you are running so many triple deeps? Making a bunch of splits for nucs this year?
Yes! We will make a lot of splits, and there’s quite a few colonies already looking full.
Do they have an AFB detection map across the state.
Not to my knowledge. It’s not common at all. Almost always they burn the equipment right there on the spot. They want it irraticated immediately when it does pop up.

🤣🤣🤣
What is the Counties inspection fee? Is it per apiary?
None. We pay taxes and they work for the state
The state is concerned with the spread of disease, any used comb is suspect, the reason a nuc is hard to find and not offered by a bee supply company.
Lol
Thanks!
