Bro is not seen as an American thing in India. Bhai is a common lingo used in the north which means Bro which is Indian. In my state we use "tamma" which means younger bro which is common slang as well, every state has their slang equivalent to bro. Because India has multiple languages urban people began use the common slang "bro" when they talk to the internet or in urban places where you get to interact with different people of different languages.

Educated hindus understand good karma and the concept of "swadharma" aswell .If one is in the grihasti phase of life the swadharma involves money and how you can provide best for your family for example. if you are a spiritual person and have decided to lead a pious life then , your dharma can involve giving charity and receiving charity . but one can be both aswell and find the right balance while having good karma .
