In this session I head to Drayton Reservoir in search of a bite to break the blank spell on my winter campaign water. I'm joined by my close friend Alan. The British weather tries it's hardest to get in the way of our social in the form of Storm Arwen.

Haha cheers man, good point. Sometimes you watch the video’s back and wonder why you said certain things. The only thing crushed was our morale by the end of the session! Haha!
I was fishing in this storm with my little brother it was cold like still caught to nice fish one at 15 and one at 12 hope you two enjoyed it was a experience to remember like hahaha
That’s some class angling there mate! Nearly 3 weeks on and I’m still feeling the cold now hahaha
@@linebites I bet you are on maple digest from spa baits quality most of they year round ive been using them and catching so happy now got a deeper chirp +2 pond where I fish local to me is full of snags gotta defo give the sonar a try bike and trailer thats all I need haha

Haha no mate, they can be prolific! I’ve had good success on them in the past. About three fish came out that weekend and were all around midday Sunday as we were leaving.

Hi mate, in this video I’m using the JAG prolite rear grip system with Cypography buzz bars. They’re an awesome bit of kit. You can get different coloured inserts (I use red) that are also different sizes so your butt sits nice and tightly.

I once carp fished for a whole year after getting made redundant. I don't bother with winter carping after doing that. I'll go through to the end of Autumn and then switch to other species until Spring.
I know what you mean mate! it's not for the faint hearted, one of the goals for this year is to catch a snow carp. Thought we were in with a shout on this session haha!
